2014 Nissan Xterra review
Not sure why they quit making Xterras. Just bought a 2014 with 63,000 miles on it. We LOVE this car. Comfy but definitely feels like the truck we wanted. Leather seats, lots of power, ample space and good looks. I would define this car as a cast iron pan on wheels. Gets the job done, holds up, and feels great to boot. I hope to be driving this car ten years from now!

2003 Nissan Xterra review
I got a 2001 nissan xterra 173,000 miles from an auction. A few cosmetic problems but was really fun to drive. gas mileage was xxxxty 12-13 city 14-17 highway. But was a great car. drove it for 10,000 miles and then broke down. needed a fuel pump and new distributor and then decided to get a 2003 nissan xterra. needed a tune up and transmission after going for 205,000 miles, but once it was fixed, definetely worth driving.

2004 Nissan Xterra review
On my second one. The first was an 02 S/C 4x4 with the manual transmission that I drove on and off road for 7 years. It was finally retired with 260k miles because of frame and body rust issues. I purchased my second on last year that is a rust free southern 04 auto 4x4. I did all of the maintenance when I first got it and besides oil changes, nothing else. Super reliable and driver oriented. Only drawbacks are needs more power and better fuel economy. That said, I'm continuously impressed with it's capabilities and value.

2014 Nissan Xterra review
The gray front bumpers do not scratch easily and that is good especially for a young driver. Versatile, can tow well, good family car, good space, not too large but not small, quirky design, great on the highway, and can take it almost anywhere u want especially with a 4WD. I have a 2WD but I still take it anywhere down dirt roads and up mountain gravel roads. Such a unique vehicle and it’s tough as nails. It accelerates well especially for the time it was made. Nothing fancy but it’s purely durable inside and out. It is a SUV on a truck frame with a large V6 engine so all the people complaining about gas mileage are quite frankly ignorant because they must have expected something different.

2015 Nissan Xterra review
Third Off-Road or Pro4X Xterra, '07, '11, and '14, all now-impossible-to-find 6 sp manuals. When discontinued, tried to get '15 but could not find manual. May be only US model with the Canadian-mandatory plug-in engine-block heater installed, fine for upstate NY winters. Outstanding off- and dirt roads, and 4Low w. locking rear diff. Will never sell and will never be stolen as majority can't drive the stick...Only quarrel is am starting to see rust starting around the rear license-plate lights-will have to keep after that. Easy oil change and filter with access plate in skid plate, of which there are 4 on P4X. Find one with acceptable mileage - buy it!

2015 Nissan Xterra review
I'm currently on my 4th Xterra. What can I say? If you love 'em, you love 'em. Bought a 2004 and a 2006 new, and a 2011 and a 2015 used. All were manual transmission. The '06 and '11 stayed in the family as I passed them on to my daughter, who continued to use them (as I did) to commute to work and for extensive mountain highway driving. Always have loved their size and practicality, not to mention their reliability. Not much off-road, though I have no doubts they would excel there. I also limited long-distance highway driving due to comfort and fuel economy. Averaged 17-18 mpg on every one, which is the only feature about which I would carp (and which I'm sure contributed to Nissan's decision to end production in 2015). Nonetheless, I've always loved the look, performance and reliability and would recommend them to anyone in the market for a mid-sized 4WD. Certainly more comfortable and refined than a CJ-7.

Had a 4Runner before this. I don't find it much different! Works great! Will drive it as long as we can. It is comfortable and we bought it with 150km on it. Drives and runs like new.

We had to find something fast, and within our budget, but also wanted something that we actually WANTED: AWD, sizeable, newer, clean and well maintained. And because we're currently in the process of trying to buy a house, we had a lot of financial needs: in a budget, paying cash, etc. I was already stressed when I walked into Groove Toyota, and anticipating a downhill morning. Enter Mr. Byron Fludd. This man! From the second he introduced himself I started feeling better. Kind, understanding, funny, and he actually LISTENED when we told him all of our needs. The car we saw online was already sold. Byron found us something better for less cost, the size and age and mileage we were hoping for and made the entire process so unbelievably painless. We arrived at 10am and were out of there by 12:30ish? And I think the only reason it took that long is because Byron made sure the new whip was extra-detailed, and also printed us a copy of the CarFax so we had it. I could not be more grateful for our new (used) GMC Acadia, and I can't thank Groove Toyota and sweet Byron enough for taking SUCH good care of us. My husband said multiple times this past weekend that we'll be buying our next car with Byron and Groove Toyota, no question. Every car buying experience for me before this past weekend had been full of pressure, price hikes, and undue stress. Our experience last Saturday changed all that. I have had two xterras and have never found a better SUV for camping and going to the home stores to haul lumber and household goods for my home projects... they are hardy and reliable to own and are 20 year vehicles.

2015 Nissan Xterra review
My 15 pro4x is my second Xterra. I bought a 2004 XE new and drove it for 194,000 miles and 14 years. Best vehicle I ever owned. When it became time to move on in 2017 I bought a 2 years old Pro 4X. Both of my Xs had manual transmissions/ I have had my pro 4 x for 5 years and like the power, room, handling. and rear locker. Great truck. It is a shame they do not make them anymore.

2014 Nissan Xterra review
First off, the features which I think could use improvement include: 1) The front seats are rather hard and get somewhat uncomfortable after 100-150 miles. They are fine for short trips, but when taking the car on a long voyage, be prepared to stop every couple of hours. 2) The visibility could be better. The pillars behind both sets of doors are quite wide which gives less visibility when looking out of the vehicle. This is also true for the rear corners. 3) Getting in and out of the rear seat is somewhat awkward for adults. This can be made a little better with running boards or similar outside "steps". Other than these rather minor flaws, this is one of the best vehicles I have ever owned. Reliability is awesome. Acceleration is more than adequate. It will cruise at 90 mph all day long without breaking a sweat. It does an excellent job of towing; I pulled a 32' Airstream behind mine with no problems. It does ride more like a truck than a passenger car, but thats because it really is a truck. mine has 225k on it, and the only parts I have had to replace were all 4 shocks, but I live down an extremely bumpy dirt road, so that was expected. The 4 wheel drive is very good; I've had mine in both mud and sand and have yet to get it stuck. Plus, it has plenty enough torque to pull out others who did get stuck. Overall, I would say that this is a xxxx fine vehicle.
