2018 Honda Accord review
You have to get the 2.0T and not the 1.5L. They hold way higher values while also being an absolute blast to drive with a large aftermarket community for this vehicle. Mine was totaled in a hailstorm, and after quite a bit of reserch this is the only vehicle I would buy again.

2015 Volvo S60 review
This car's reaching it's tenth birthday in the coming year, and has definitely earned itself a good reputation in reliability, to a point. Had to have the engine rebuilt at around 100k due to a recognized flaw where the seals around the pistons (one, in my case) would shave off the side of the inner piston chamber wall. Volvo was good about it, and rebuilt it for free, but I have heard about this being an issue with a percentage (although a small percentage) of 2015 S60's. If you own a 2015.5 S60, you should be okay (released at the half-year, they changed something in their engine design so this no longer happens). The 2015 model I own is a T-5 Drive-E, but even then the engines feel strong, and the acceleration is amazing given the engine downgrade for better mileage. Pros - Smooth, quiet, fast ride - Platinum package still makes this car shine given how far infotainment systems have come in 9 years - Takes 87 gas - Cold-oriented heating options. I lived in New Hampshire most of my life, and this thing took snow and ice like a champ. Good to know Volvo durability hasn't disappeared. Never failed to start, and the electric defrost option was a Godsend. - iPod/iPhone USB slot. Honestly wish this was in modern cars. You can play music from your iPhone (or iPod if you're a person of culture) as soon as you can hook it up to the charging port. Also charges your phone. Neutrals - Nav system. Pretty basic, but once you get good with the voice commands, is amazing. Other than that you have to put in addresses with one of the DIALS on the dashboard, which is lower than T9 typing. - Auto Climate setting. This is just more goofy than anything. You'll press it thinking it will slowly acclimate based on outside temps and engine warm-up and all sorts of things. No, it hilariously just turns your AC on max. Not even mad, its just super funny to think about. Cons - Start/Stop button. I don't care how much gas I "save", when you turn an engine off and on in any instance, you're wearing down parts faster. - No oil dipstick. Have to rely on electronically checking it, which has shown me close to max for the last few months, which I doubt. - Backseat legroom. It's not horrible if you're used to small sedans, and especially if you're used to super compact cars. - Turn radius. Holy crap do not invest in this car if you like parking somewhere (well) in a single turn. This thing parks like a grizzly bear with a saddle on it---mostly forwards and backs. Maybe I just prioritize good parking too much, but I don't like looking like that one guy in the Walmart parking lot who's content with 45 degree angles. The backup cam makes this not as much of an issue. All in all, a promising Volvo. Lacks the issues of the newer models, while looking pretty modern. If possible, I'd suggest trying to find a trim level higher than the default, but any trim level will be reliable. My biggest takeaway and suggestion for this would be to regularly maintain it. Get your oil changed regularly, keep your engine bay clean, invest in high-quality tires, and don't put 93 ethanol gas in for fun. It should last you as long as it did me.

2023 Hyundai SONATA review
I have the Limited. This is my 6th Hyundai/Genesis car and they just keep getting better. The technology is fantastic and equals many features in luxury cars at twice the price. In June I took a 3450 mile trip, hit 14 states and a variety of traffic conditions and it just kept chugging along with no effort. Features like HDA help on the long days of 700 miles. Used less gas than my previous car too, 95 gallons on that trip.

2015 Chevrolet Sonic review
It's unfortunate the previous owners of the recent reviews had terrible ownership experiences . I have used this car for nearly four years without a single problem. Fun to drive, very spirited, great gas mileage, and outstanding handling at highway speeds. At 95,000 miles, no squeaks, wind noise, or rattles. its still very solid. Would highly recommend if you find a well cared for one. My only complaint is you would be hard pressed to fit four ave. size people at one time. But on the plus side it can fit in small spaces.

2025 Honda Civic review
I traded in a 2017 Honda CR-V Touring because it was going to to cost more to fix the major issues (as a second owner I did not know the CR-V had that many things wrong). I put money down on the Civic Sport that I was going to use for the repairs. I do have to say it's a nice car and I hope it will last longer than I expect. That being said I didn't want to buy another Honda but I did go to a dealership that I trust more than anybody else. I will come back and further my review once I have 5,000 miles on it.

2021 Kia K5 review
A lot of people complain about the pirelli tires going bad too soon and brakes also. I personally had no issues with either one. The tires lasted well beyond their mileage rating and brakes didn't need replacement until after 4.5 years. I have had pretty much zero issues with my gt-line. People need to realize that these are not race cars and quit driving them like they are racecars and tires and brakes might last a little longer.

I HAD TWO (MINOR?) PROBLEMS WITH MY NISSAN SENTRA SV 2024 SO FAR; REPAIRED BY THE CAR BASIC WARRANTY (I ONLY ‘PAID’ IN TIME WAITING IN THE NISSAN SERVICE CENTER). 1. BATTERY SUDDENLY DRAINED: THE PROBLEM BEGAN AT AROUND 3,200 MILES AND IT TOOK THREE DIAGNOSTIC VISITS, THE LAST ONE FOCUSING ON THE PARASITIC DRAIN, TO FIND A PROBLEM INVOLVING THE BATTERY. BATTERY AND RELATED PARTS REPLACED SUCCESSFULLY (COVERED BY BASIC WARRANTY). 2. POWER WINDOWS MECHANISM BROKE DOWN AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. IT WAS AROUND 5,200 MILES (COVERED BY BASIC WARRANTY).

For what it's worth, I am in my 50s and have bought about 20 cars over my lifetime. I live in NY have bought cars online/remotely from FL, CA, UT, PA, OH and MA. I'm a particular fan of 1997-2001 Lexus ES 300s so I was very interested when a 2001 Lexus ES 300 showed up on Wheels Unlimited's website. The car listed at Wheels Unlimited had only 54k miles but the price was a bit higher than I wanted to pay (having purchased more than 8 of these cars over the past 15 years, I knew what a good price was and, like every customer, I was hoping to get a better deal than what was listed on the website). Like everyone else, I tried to find customer feedback wherever I could... google, yelp, cars.com, facebook, cargurus, you name it... The fact that the overwhelming customer feedback was so good was both encouraging but also caused concern that the results might have been "scrubbed" or manipulated. The only negative comments I saw were from customers who said that the dealership was asking too much and unwilling to come down on price (no idea how much reduction they were asking, just that they were displeased with the unwillingness of the dealership to accommodate). Almost all of the responses gave high praise to John Steffens and the dealership for reasonableness and ultimate satisfaction in the transaction. Cars were listed responsibly and accurately and the prices were consistent therewith. The asking price for the 2001 Lexus ES 300 that I was interested in was significantly higher than any of the figures I could find from Kelly Blue Book, Edmunds, NADA or any other online valuation tool. From an online perspective, pictures of the car looked immaculate and the overall condition was impeccable but I have had bad deals before. I called John and asked about the car and he told me it was excellent. I believed what he said because everything about him is very professional and honest, but was still a bit apprehensive because the car was more expensive than any of the others I purchased previously. Bottom-line is that although I was apprehensive in buying an older car without seeing it first-hand, I trusted John's description and the way he worked with me to accommodate my flight into Chicago and bus ride to Valparaiso. I've never been more delighted! The car was even better than John described - truly immaculate! John is an excellent salesman and I actually trust him completely. Not only would I do this deal 1000 times out of 1000, I would actually consider commissioning him to purchase other cars for me because he truly cares about the cars he sells and the folks to whom he sells them. The fact that he did not come down on price as much as I would have liked is not a negative, it's just quite reasonable because the cars are so good. I think that they spend time selecting only a few cars that they can represent with good conscience as opposed to flooding the lot and selling a poor product from time to time. The fact that they prescreen their offerings so conscientiously makes me want to buy from them again and again - unfortunately for me, 1997-2001 Lexus ES 300s like the one I got don't come around too often. To whatever extent such customer feedback can help you in your decision, know that I sincerely loved buying this car from John/Wheels Unlimited and am stating that I believe you can trust him/them as well. 2015 Chevrolet Malibu review
It's a good car. Bought it used. I bought it with 84000 miles, now has 111,000 miles. Main computer had to be replaced, and was done under warranty. I replaced the brakes myself at 104,000 miles, and they were the original OE GM brakes the car was born with. Seats lack support, but I bought a leather cushion that helps. The back seat is really tight, ok for small kids. My fuel economy in the city can get to 23 mpg if I don't use the AC. It gets worse city mileage in the winter too. Highway mileage, the car does well, 34-35 if I drive it right. I think for a reliable used car, it's ok. They are cheaper than the Japanese competition. Rides and handles well.

2020 Kia Forte review
I’ve had my Kia now for 3yrs and only had little major thing go wrong which the dealership handled the issue as a decent time I guess. The first few months of having my Kia during the winter here the car would t push botton to start and boy was I pissed off. I kept having to jump start it then it dawned on me on me that they gave me a dead battery! Which was taking care of with warranty thank God! Other then that issue my model Kia forte got-line wasn’t equipped with a decent sound system I guess the package I thought it would’ve had But! Not! and to replace a aftermarket radio will cost a pretty penny to get done. My tires 17” OEM they feel on the wobbly side while driving 50-70mph on the Hyway! while hearing the sounds from outside in the inside of the car which sucks. But it’s power it gets up to speed especially in Sport Mode! The exterior looks good and interior is good also but I’m a pit in some work on it soon. I wish I would’ve known about the Kia Gt though (manual) speed before test driving my Kia gt line lol. My overall about this Kia it’s worth the price as well the experience to drive and to owne one!

2025 BMW 228 Gran Coupe review
So far so good with this purchase of a dealer loaner car after the first 1000 miles. Nearly all of it has been highway miles on the return trip to LA from Las Vegas after purchase and a recent round trip LA-Las Vegas. Really smooth highway drive, The engine doesn't sound like it's laboring at all. Excellent fuel mileage so far as well.I haven't done much local driving yet. I hope it remains as comfortable as it has felt so far. (I went from an X2 to a sedan). If you're not used to it, the touch features on the dash might take some getting used to. The truck is smaller than I've been used to. Overall, I'm very pleased.

2018 Hyundai ELANTRA review
I first leased my 2018 Hyundai Elantra in 2018 (car was new with less than 50 miles on the odometer). After the lease was up, I opted to purchase the vehicle. It's been great. No major problems. The reason I gave the exterior only 4 stars is that the paint started peeling on the rear bumper (below the license plate) about a year ago. A Hyundai service person explained that the bumpers are plastic (not steel) like the rest of the car and the paint does eventually peel off. Outside of the rear bumper paint problem, this has been an excellent vehicle.

2023 Chevrolet Malibu review
We had the 2018 before this 2023 for 3years and it was amazing other than regular maintenance we put a battery in it that's it. Loved the car took us everywhere without fail very reliable. Has a mean punch with the 4-cylinder but it's the turbo Tranny makes it mean. It goes when you need to! Nice style looks classy and sporty. We got grey metallic paint it looks purple! We love this car too, a lot like our old one but new features for sure driving assistance features crash prevention, and new car deck bigger and better could use a lot more bass lol. But great sound without good bass. Malibu's are being discontinued so the wife and I will be looking at a impala next ride purchase as we fell hard for Chevy Period!

2023 Nissan Sentra review
Excellent gas milege...regularly exceed the EPA highway estimate for this car. Already have over 30000 miles on it. Regualar maintenace so far at the dealer. Now looking at a set of replacement tires as the OEM's do not last as long as expected. Other than the high wear on the tires, Android Auto connections used to be iffy at best until I figured out how the keep the connection.,

2024 Honda Accord review
Got this car as part of a trade with my 2013 Chevy Malibu. It's not a bad car did have a few issues with the spark plugs that came out of nowhere. And they had to be replaced along with a few other issues but outside of that it's been a pretty reliable car that has gotten me from point a to point b. Everything works well the Bluetooth has worked wonders along with the seats being comfortable and it drives smooth.

2022 Chevrolet Malibu review
I've had my 2022 Premier for about 6 months. I like it more than I want to - I was waiting to buy a Cadillac later this year! I saw this Premier (2liter turbo) that was new last October with less than 4k miles (and 20+% under list) and could not pass it up. It's comfortable, quiet, handles well and is OK quick. It has heated rear seats, which I don't need but no power tilt/telescope steering wheel or power up pass. window. Fuel economy is spot on it's EPA rating. I have 2 small complaints. (1) the radio, set to Sirius/XM, will change to 97.4 FM - no warning/no reason. My local dealer updated the radio software but this stlll happens. (2) At the same instant the dash pod winks out...then comes back. Weird but I'm not gonna sweat this. Overall a nice GM product.

2023 Hyundai SONATA review
Purchased a 2023 Hyundai Sonata SEL. The car had 27000 miles on it. It met my requirements for power, ride, comfort, and options. I've had it for about a month now and it is everything I was hoping to have in a good performing, comfortable, reliable car. I especially like the interior cabin space and the display screen, Nice big, clear backup camera, and the some of the options for driver assist are great including the variable cruise control, the blind spot warning alert, and the lane departure warning alert.
