This is the way to buy a car. Josh was prompt and regular with e-mail communication. Process was completely transparent with before and after photos freely shown. When we came for test drive, the key was given freely without any sales pressure. We knew we wanted to buy, and the whole process of closing the deal took 45 minutes. Impressive showroom for a used car dealer, to boot.

Dreams come true!

I filled out an online app in hopes of a newer/used vehicle for myself and family as I have 4 children 2 of witch are teens who drive and as a single father i wanted something i can feel 100% worry free with as I send my daughter's out on their daily errands, school, etc. With 2 divorces and struggles in life I never thought it would be possible to get a new car however I had to try. I got approved online and like most everyone else thought ya sure until I get there I'm approved then they'll want a years salary for a down payment but I went anyway! I got there and meet with Art and after a half hour he had gotten me into not a used car but a brand new 2018 Nissan Altima! Now I can go work my 10 hour days, my children can go to school, run their errands and I don't have to worry about their safety or if their broke down somewhere! Thank you from the bottom of my heart MR. Lucia!

When buying a car, you are in control of the entire situation, and most dealerships are experts at making you think otherwise, and after being manhandled, lied to, shortchanged and manipulated at nearly 5 other dealerships in 2 weeks, i could not find the deal that fit me. That is, Until my friend suggested that I give Seth Quittner a call at Freedom Nissan and after that I was taken seriously and with their unmatched inventory, they had multiple cars to show me that were perfect for me, and priced better than I could have even hoped for. After I chose my car at my own pace, Kyle Nicholas worked the bank to get me the best APR I had been offered by a long shot! I could not be happier in my low miles sentra, and I constantly brag about the deal they got me! Zero bullcrap, 100% awesome work from these guys, why go anywhere else and get hustled?

I really enjoy almost everything about the car. It drives well, good features, good mileage for AWD. I wish the body was not so low to the ground ( easy to scrape on curbs etc ) but I want a sedan and it seems all sedans now are low like this one nowadays.

Art Lucia I am a customer for life. You helped me so much and we're such a gentleman and was never agressively trying to get time to do anything but the exact car I wanted and went thru the process in a way that was simple but informative and literally made me feel at home. Like family and quiet frankly that's exactly how I see you as family. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for believing in me and never judging me. Even helped get me out of a ticket I got bringing my unispected car to trade in. I'd recommend him to anyone period good credit bad credit Fred flinstone. Doesent matter. Ask for Art Lucia I promise he will be there for you like he was for me. I literally left there feeling like a million dollars 💵. I will never forget it. And would never think of anybody else to refer anyone too. Thanks again. And freedom Nissan u should get that guy a desk by the window. Because he is an asset you most defiantly do not wanna lose. And I hope u don't so I can bring my son to him to get his first car. Peace and love - Bowie B

Modern safety features with great style
by SaveTheHippos from San Diego

Talk about a sleek car with available iSight camera system that helps ensure the safety of everyone in the vehicle. Comes with adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist. Automatic braking to avoid front end collion. Reverse camera with automatic braking and sensors to alert you of oncoming objects usually not in your immediate view when reversing. The day time running lamps are the sharpest looking thing on the road, I prefer them over my BMW LED day time running lamps. In terms of comfort you have all premium leather heated seats with a wood grain front panel that gives off a modern style. Steering wheel paddle shifters with AWD give you superb control. Keyless entry and push to start engine means you can quickly get in and go! Has the new shark fin antenna that flows with the vehicle. Automatic on/off headlamps and awesome fog lamps that individually turn on when making a turn to increase your visibility of the immediate low ground road which allows you to dodge every pothole.

I was hesitant to finance a vehicle, but chose freedom Nissan in Burlington due to a past experiance I had there when I had serviced my vehicle a few yrs back. I came into Nissan with a used car in mind, I had also thought that my credit score was around 70 points higher then it was when my report was pulled. Art was still able to not just get me into a used vehicle but a brand new 2017 Nissan that only has 170 miles! He is amazing! I literally did nothing! He did all the work, in a little less than 2 hours I was able to leave with my car! I am beyond happy! I would highly recommend freedom Nissan to anyone looking to purchase a new or used vehicle!! Thank you Art!!

I love the look, performance, features, comfort and reliability. I have owned VW's, Ford Pinto, Audi Fox, Honda Accord, Toyota Tercel, Chevy Malibu, Chevy Impala and a 1942 Pontiac that was a gift from an old neighbor who went into a Nursing Home in 1964. I had the most fun in the '42 but my Legacy is by far the nicest car I have ever owned.

My husband needed a new car in a bad way. Plus our daughters 15, so we needed something reliable and safe she could learn to drive on. Our credit score had taken a hit recently and we weren't sure if we could get a loan. I got in touch with Art Lucia and he said "Give me 45 minutes of your time". I was skeptical, but we went in and we got approved for a loan real fast, I was shocked. We then went out on the lot found a car, test drove it and bought it. We completed all this under that 45 minutes time frame. Art makes it so easy!

We were down on our Luck and couldn't get approved anywhere and our family was in bad need of a vehicle. Art Lucia contacted me and asked me to give him 45 mins of his time. He was quite sure he could get me approved. Sure enough within 45 mins we were approved and taking a test drive in our new Vehicle. I highly recommend Art Lucia to any of those who just need a break! Engine and mileage troubles
by Cora from Tulsa OK

It's a pretty little car. I got the white. It does have excellent outboard visibility which was important to me . The seats are comfortable and I wanted it for the safety ranking, the AWD and the visibility all of which are as promised. It is the smallest car I've had in 40 years but has room for what I need at my age. However it did not get better than 19 mpg city and highway and they had to put a new engine in it. Now it is averaging 24 and can get 32 on the hwy in favorable conditions. I like the heated sets on the lowest setting and am happy to have the back up camera although it is nearly useless after dark-very blurry. I think it accelerates fast enough. I am not happy to not have retained auxiliary power which I thought was standard on something at this price : $26,0000. It is a huge nuisance to have to turn the car back on to close the sunroof or roll a window up or down, The sound system is horribly overcomplicated. Too many unneeded warning indicators which are pretty tiny and take research to figure out.I like the driver info center. I'm getting older and would prefer a car with fewer rather than more features. I had to search hard to find one with a compass , which I still find useful and essential but it is placed-way up in a corner of the rearview mirror. Should be on the dash somewhere to be really useful. The salesforce and the mechanics are very responsive and the car is generally well made. They fixed the engine without complaint. So they get points for that. I just think it is complicated in ways that are not helpful.

I'd suggest Carter's Cars to all of my family and friends. See you three in the future for more business and thanks for all of your hard work getting me into my 2014 Jetta for under book value!!!! I couldn't find a better deal if I tried.

Heritage Toyota Review
Third vehicle here; staff worked on affordability each time.
by poutine_or_putain? from DealerRater.com
November 6, 2018
5 5 5 5 5 4.9 (2680 reviews)
I have now purchased three used vehicles from Heritage; a Camry, a Sienna and a Corolla. (Also another Camry from a dealer in Rutland.) Very happy with the life span and performance of the first two from Heritage; hopefully #3 will continue as a trend. I worked in retail management for 30 years. My crusty old school boss, generally a good guy - classic tough but fair person (these days seems like too much "tough", nowhere near enough "fair" anymore) used to say this on the regular about hitting sales targets, often challenging ones: First time's luck; second time's coincidence; third time's a trend. I made it a point of my career to hit as many of my targets as reasonably possible just so I could throw that old chestnut back at him during sales meetings. Not surprisingly, he didn't seem to mind... I appreciate the staff working on price; we are a family of four, currently one income, living in very expensive Chittenden County. Rural area; we need at least two affordable cars, plus probably one more next year or so when my teen son starts driving. I truly wish there was ONE visionary out there in car dealership land that would just put their used auto inventory out there with a finite price, inclusive of a *reasonable* markup to cover conditioning, etc. and a modest profit, and end all the lunacy and stereotypes surrounding deal-making. Having worked so long in retail, I genuinely understand the need and right to make an honest profit. I do not believe anyone, any "customer", has the right to try to screw down the price of a car (or anything else) to cost or almost cost. Nor should dealers abuse the nice, naive people who are often just confused. One loud obnoxious jerk will wail to the heavens at the injustice of the price of a car, to the point where usually you're willing to do almost anything to get rid of them, I suspect to the point where another more pleasant customer will get a bad deal to make up for it. This is wrong on so many levels. That jerk doesn't deserve a deal, though I know they are usually the type that can afford most whatever they want. This recent deal was a bit of a misunderstanding, BTW, so I hope I wasn't being that jerk here. Not my intention at all. I just wanted to get to a loan not above 10K due to our financial situation; that's all. Your initial price on the car was almost exactly what the bank's listing had it at. I just knew I couldn't afford full book PLUS all the extras (tax, fees, etc.). You worked on it, and made an offer and I appreciate it, truly. I plan to turn this car over to my son late next year, and hopefully look for another for myself. Our daughter will need a vehicle in two+ years. You have the potential for two more sales right there over the next few years. Isn't that worth offering a good deal to a loyal patron? Please consider a used "Fixed Price/ Everything Included" option on your lot someday. No arguing/haggling/wailing to the heavens crap. "Here is our price, all in, inclusive of our *reasonable* markup and reconditioning costs." This is the very first place I would look in the future. Why not try it? I get the whole new car BS (sorry, but it is, and you all know it), with "incentives', rebates, etc., etc. Probably hard to get to a fixed price wading through all that nonsense, though I believe it could still be done with a bit of determined and legally creative accounting. Lastly, what I wouldn't give to peruse your full P&L for a lunch hour or so. Right in my wheelhouse, as I am an intensely curious person, generally. I used to tell that crusty old boss of mine that it's one thing to understand an operational line item (like a supply line, say); another thing entirely to be able to actually MOVE that number. Sometimes you can't; the best you can do is hopefully contain it. But I digress...sorry. Thanks for what I hope to be yet another great car from Heritage. I look forward to working with you in the near future. Steven

i had a great experience purchasing a used vehicle from Burlington Subaru. I worked with Pinhas, but everyone I dealt with there was great. From day one, I felt they were being honest and fair with me on the purchase on the car. If you're looking to buy a car in Burlington or anywhere in the country, Burlington Subaru provides an outstanding buying experience.

Good car but many distraction dangers
by LeeLaVin from Laguna Niguel, CA
February 19, 2019

Unless you like to stay up at night reading your Subaru Legacy manual, you may never get the hang of this car. We lease it. Really hard to figure out the settings for window operations, radio, air conditioner (but NO heater), headlight setting, door functions (which doors you gotta open first in order to open other doors), how to get the darn trunk open. So many things. Overr-designed. Too much dashboard disboard distraction. Plus, you can never leave the radio on and open the door (buzzers go off). One must leave the engine on if you want to listen to the radio, open or close a window. I've always had Sirius in previous cars and had no difficulties. Legacy radio display is horrifically complex. Hard to set favorites. Worst of all, you cannot readily know when you are out of gas. My old Volvo used to give me a digital readout on how many miles were left before I'd run out of gas. Really helped me gauge when to stop and refuel. In the Legacy, you can read the meter and think you're okay and then suddenly you see the Orange alert. I tend tonot kno get nervous not knowing approximately how many miles I can drive before I run out completely. In short, the Subaru drives very well, looks pretty good, but is not designed to be user friendly. If you don't like reading manuals in order to listen to a car radio, you'll be irritated often. And the temptation to try to figure these things out WHILE YOU ARE DRIVING is a danger that absolutely must be avoided. I'd love to have a talk with the dashboard designer!

bought my 2009 limited pzev 2.5i with 23k, one owner. I broke 4 wheel bearings, 2 cats (recalled), the radiator, and an oil sensor. there were 9 recalls which is a bit sketchy. I bought the car as a test really - to see if subaru's really are unbreakable, reliable, and cheap to maintain...im not exactly disappointed... the car currently has 160k of HARD miles. I purposely put a beating on this thing. I tried to get it stuck in deep snow and NOT ONCE would it get stuck. every morning hot or cold it turns right over. engine light came on one time at 150k for an oil pressure sensor ($120), but that's it. the drive train feels invincible - I literally cant break it - I see another 160k added with ease. as for reliability - anything that broke was my fault, or recalled. I think the front end is ugly, its a little long for a car, and everything about it is incredibly basic, but for an overall review I can honestly say this car is great. a little expensive for the basic features, wish I got the GT, but as reliable as they say Subaru's are. 11/10 in terms of mechanics and reliability.
