This dealership went above and beyond for my family! We drove 7 hours to buy our vehicle from an honest dealership. Trade and purchase was seamless, no gimmicks. They exceeded our expectations and it was worth the drive to get our Subaru from Southern State Automotive. Thanks Pat, Bryant, Eldwood & Chris!
2026 Subaru Outback review
I love Subaru automobiles. I usually buy Forresters, I trade up every 3 years. My only complaint with the Forrester is the cabin noise is loud. When I went to the dealership I saw a different looking Subaru. It was the 2026 Outback which had been redesigned and looked like a SUV not a station wagon. I drove it and boom, problem solved. The outside noise was not loud at all. It had the same great features, plus more than my Forrester had. I fell in love! The new color an emerald green caught my eye and I have had many compliments on it. The ride is smooth, it is roomier than the Forrester. I am so happy with my purchase

Johnson Subaru of Cary review
I had a really great experience overall with this dealership. I had set up a deal online thru Sam's Club on an auto with all the options I was looking for. I got to the dealer and was informed that the vehicle was in transit. Not great. The salesman I was working with worked tirelessly to find all the vehicles that matched what I was looking for along with another that I had been considering. In the end I purchased a really great auto and am very happy with the end result. I didn't feel the issue was the dealer's fault but most likely a issue with working with both Sam's Club and the dealer. I would definitely recommend purchasing from this dealership.
2026 Subaru Outback review
This is my third Subaru but my first Outback. I loved my Legacy and my Forester but this vehicle is overall better in most ways. The ride and comfort is outstanding and the performance is adequate for my needs. The Infotainment system and climate controls are perfect. The built-in navigation needs lots of changes and I wouldn't recommend it right now as it tells me to turn left when you need to turn right. It even sometimes shows the opposite direction on the map. The speed limits shown is often wrong as well like the maps are out of date. Wireless Android Auto doesn't work well either and often blanks out. I hope that these items will be fixed via updates. This vehicle is a pleasure to drive.

Johnson Subaru of Cary review
Ali was our salesman at Johnson Subaru 10 stars. He was fantastic. Excellent communication skills saw everything through right to the very end very professional.
2026 Subaru Outback review
I had some weird requirements. I bought a full-sized spare exactly like the other wheels/tires on the car so I wanted it to fit in the wheel well. It did that. I also wanted a car that had a very convenient way of turning off the auto on/off feature where the car's engine turns off when you come to a light. I also wanted AWD. The cabin is quieter than my previous car so that's also a plus. The seats are very comfortable. The only small negative is that the map lights are very weak. I will have them replaced with LED bulbs at the car's first oil change at 3000 miiles.

I had a wondeful experience purchacing my new SUBARU Forester from this dealership. The salesperson was friendly, professional, patient. I am particularly satisfied with the Encore Delivery session they provided. Joseph Rossman, the Encore Delivery Specialist, he is a very nice person, he explained the functions of my new car very seriously and taught me a lot of usage skills, he also took me to familiarize myself with the procedures for car maintenance. Thanks to everyone who served me. Thank you!

This is my second Subaru Outback. I loved the 2017 & this one is even better. The improved eyesight is nice & the backup camera is wonderful. The extension on the visor is a small but quite helpful.

The process of purchasing my Crosstrek Hybrid Limited was seamless and terrific. I got exactly the car I wanted at a fair price and was delighted by the service I received from my salesperson, Tushar Shende, and Chris Kulis in Finance. But that wasn’t even the best part! About a week after the purchase, I met with Joseph Rossman, the Encore Delivery Specialist, who patiently and thoroughly walked me through all the cool things my new car can do. Thank you to everyone at Hendricks who made the purchase of my new car so gratifying and fun.

Ray and team did a great job helping me get my car situated. Even getting his other team involved. Big ups for the tram and I hope he's there next time I take my car in. 0 concerns. 10/10 highly recommend.

Hendrick Southpoint Auto Mall review
I brought home my Subaru Uncharted just a couple of weeks ago and I really like it. Carl Diederich was my sales advisor. I can recommend him highly. I hate high pressure, but he was easy-going and pleasant to work with. A week after my purchase Joe Rossman came to my house to walk me through all the menus and buttons, which was nice because I had questions. I know I can call either of them or others at the dealership if more questions come up. I’m loving my EV but there is a learning curve.
2026 Subaru Outback review
I have the 2026 Subaru Outback Premium. The car drives great (super smooth/quiet) and the new interior/driver controls are fantastic. Both the climate control and the entertainment system are vast improvement over the 2025 Outback. The sound system is really good for being the Premium model. I got 28 mpg on the first tank of gas and am getting 29 mpg on the second tank of gas. Mostly city driving. I paid right at $33k, which is fantastic value for this great of a car.

The staff were very friendly, and my salesman, Burak, made the entire process as easy as possible. He listened to what was important to me, guided me toward the best options, and helped me find my perfect car without trying to upsell me or push me beyond my budget. I truly appreciated his honesty, patience, and customer-focused approach. I highly recommend working with Burak if you're looking for a stress-free car-buying experience!
