Grieco HondaReviews
Grieco Honda review
I am 77 years old and a Vietnam Era Veteran, I had a 2002 Ford F-150 pickup truck that I used in my business until I retired and still drove it after that until it got to a point where it just wasn't feasible to repair it anymore so I scrapped it, since I am retired I don't really drive that much anymore and I used Lyft services and my wife's car to occasionally get here and there. But my wife works part time and needs the car about 4 days a week. Then I decided I wanted to get myself another vehicle, not necessarily a new one but a recent late model, but then the ordeal of deciding what I wanted to get started. Did I want a small car a big car a truck, and SUV and if an SUV which one? Since I am a veteran I use the VA Health Care Center in Providence and I am provided Lyft services to and from the hospital for checkups and what have you. During my car search time I happened to have an appointment at the VA and when I called Lyft services to schedule a ride they sent over a beautiful Honda Pilot which I rode in and was very impressed with, and as luck would have it, when I was through with my appointment and called for another ride, Lyft sent ANOTHER Honda Pilot to take me home and I was very impressed with that vehicle as well. I searched for Honda Pilot vehicles online and came across a beautiful looking 2020 EX model, it was burgundy, loaded with a lot of features, had very low mileage, and was very reasonably priced. It was for sale at Grieco Honda on Hartford avenue in Johnston. As a lot of people , are I was a little hesitant about going into a car dealership having heard stories about various bad experiences some people have had with some. When I went into Grieco Honda I was introduced to a young man named Chris Matarese who was a very pleasant individual. He brought the vehicle around for us to go for a test drive, was extremely polite, very intelligent and exceptionally knowledgeable about the vehicle, answering all of my questions in an instant. After a brief time of asking my "20 questions" about the vehicle and financing I decided to buy the 2020 Honda Pilot. Since the vehicle had just been taken in trade it had not been inspected by the service department as yet, and Chris had the vehicle taken in immediately to have it inspected, the service manager noted that the driver side sun visor was not functioning properly and hung a little bit low having apparently been sprung over time, and it was decided that Grieco would put a new visor in for me which I thought was a very nice gesture. So to end this story, I've had the vehicle now for a little over 2 months and I cannot be happier with it and also with the excellent and outstanding service and courtesy which was extended to me by Chris Matarese, you will find him exceptionally honest, devoutly professional, and eager to earn your business. The services provided by Grieco Honda including sales, financing, and the service department were all excellent in quality, if you're looking for a vehicle go to Grieco Honda on Hartford Avenue in Johnston and ask for Chris you will not be disappointed I can assure you. McGee Toyota of PutnamReviews
McGee Toyota of Putnam review
At McGee Toyota of Putnam, our sales person, Norman, was friendly, helpful, and assisted in our purchase without any pressure or slick talk, which we so much appreciated. Our business manager, Melissa, was as equally friendly and helpful, and moved the whole transaction along very quickly. We had been to another Toyota dealership in New Jersey the prior day, and had a bad experience. After telling us that a car that we had called about several times was available, we drove two hours to see it and pick it up, only to be told that it had been sold the night before. We called the morning just before we left and they said it was still available. Needless to say we found an even nicer vehicle, and we traveled three hours to go look at and purchase our new vehicle from McGee Toyota and it was well worth the time. We really like our new RAV4. Thanks again to the team!!
2021 Subaru Outback review
My family has owned Subarus for a very long time, starting in the late 90's with my parents, an 89 Legacy L wagon, then a 2005 Outback XT, continuing with my wife and I. Our last Subaru, a 2002 Legacy GT wagon (a pretty rare car here in the US, even the Subaru-crazy Portland-metro area) was stolen during Covid. We went Subaru-less until June 8 2026, when we picked up the 45000 mile 2021 Outback XT Limited. The Limited trim is one rung below the top-trim Touring XT and above the Onxy XT. For the curious, XT= the turbo engine version, which I HIGHLY recommend if you actually enjoy driving your car like I do (and other perks). Why did we choose the Limited XT over a truck or another SUV/crossover? 1) The styling. Love it or hate it, wagons are just cool. They've grown on me. It's just different from everything else on the road. 2) I like the carlike ride, driving dynamics, comfort, but the SUV-like interior space, ground clearance and driving position (OB's have 8.7 inches of ground clearance). The Limited trim is the best one in my opinion because you get upgraded interior sound-deadening (thicker window glass, more insulation), upgraded stereo (which sounds awesome), and memory for the driver seat (2 presets). Here's what I like: It's a Subaru without the Subaru quirks from prior generations. It's quiet inside. Just as quiet or more than our Volvo XC90 V8. Even the 2019 3.6R Touring we test drove was noisier inside. The ride is very smooth. Seats are very comfortable for long-hauls. Vancouver, WA to Bend, OR and no aches or pains or cramps. Handling is also good, better than a SUV. This isn't nimble like a Miata or Honda Civic, but for a 3900 lb car it's great. The powertrain. I love the 2.4 turbo engine. It's smooth, quiet, and makes all its torque by 2000 RPM. The non-turbo Outback gets along okay without the 2.5 non-turbo, but the XT makes a huge difference when you want it. It's much faster than the 3.6R it replaced and gets better fuel economy. Personally, unless you want the extra fuel economy, there's no reason not to get the XT. Fuel economy? Highway cruising 70-75 mph is 28 mpg. Pulling grades or a load of gear drops it to 27 mpg. Heavy-footed driving in town and the mileage is rough at times: I saw a low 17.5 once, but it's usually 22 to 23 in town if I keep my foot out of it (that's hard). Here's what I'm not sold on after over a month of ownership. The CVT: If you're coming from only driving conventional automatics, there's a learning curve on how to drive it smoothly. Smooth is the keyword. let the transmission do the work. You can paddle shift it, but it's better to leave it in D. The power delivery could be better. Again, it's a CVT. Off the line foot to the floor and there's a waiting period before it goes. However, like 30 to 80 mph is wild! Like 3 seconds, and onramps are fun! Again, fuel economy isn't fantastic, real-world mixed driving is 22-23 mpg. The infotainment system: Starlink will require getting used to. None of our cars have ever had one, so it's not a big deal for me, but someone used to one may have moments of frustration with the lag and slow response to inputs. Just be patient and it gets bearable over time. Android Auto is USB tether-only along with CarPlay. It works fine, but again...laggy. The display washes out some in sunlight, so you may have to turn the dimmer up. I had to make a habit of turning off auto stop start as soon as I start the engine now. I despise auto stop-start! Whose idea was that anyway? So, should you get a Gen 6 Outback. Yes. The Gen 7's are what I consider blasphemy for Subie folks like me...they now look like everything else on the road, but that's here nor there. I really like the XT and it will be our car for a good while.

2026 Subaru Outback review
I have the 2026 Subaru Outback Premium. The car drives great (super smooth/quiet) and the new interior/driver controls are fantastic. Both the climate control and the entertainment system are vast improvement over the 2025 Outback. The sound system is really good for being the Premium model. I got 28 mpg on the first tank of gas and am getting 29 mpg on the second tank of gas. Mostly city driving. I paid right at $33k, which is fantastic value for this great of a car.

Valenti SubaruReviews
2025 Subaru Outback review
I have owned Subaru wagons both used and new from 1984 until present. I own a 2012 Subaru Outback Limited 2.5 which I bought new. It has 220,000 miles. Other than routine maintenance and a couple rear wheel bearings, it is doing great! I also own a 2025 Subaru Outback Limited 2.5, I currently have 24,000 miles in it. Only real nuisances are the center tablet and no buttons or dials for hvac. It’s frankly a safety issue to play with a screen just to change hvac settings-dumb. 2026 they got smarter but changed the style for the worse. Additionally, the OEM tires are starting to sing at 24,000 miles. The first 24k the car was whisper quiet. Now I have to blast the radio to drown out the hum. Subaru needs to quit playing with cheap OEM tires. Throw a set of Michelins on there to start… The seats are comfortable-a great improvement over the seat design used from 2015-2019. I got rid of a new 2017 Outback after 95,000 miles because the seating was like sitting on slate. A complaint I have is the overuse of “safety nannies” which are too sensitive and could cause an accident rather than prevent one. Case in point, car can slam on the brakes for you if it thinks you are doing something abnormal that you probably do all the time. I dislike the 8 speed trans. My 6 speed is better on the 2012. 8 speeds are too many. No issues shifting or anything, CVT “shifts” fine. I still get 30 mpg Hwy on the 2012 and 32-34 on the 2025 Hwy. Subarus are wonderful vehicles but they better watch out so they don’t get too much more expensive or start following the crowd too much. Cars in general are too high priced…

Valenti Toyota review
The team at Valenti Toyota is personable, professional, knowledgeable and experienced. They listened to what we were interested in, and they worked with us throughout the purchasing process. Sales consultant Steve Macomber was especially helpful in assuring that we felt comfortable and informed from the initial contact until we drove away in our 2016 Camry. He displayed a thorough understanding of both the vehicles and the process. Sales manager Rocky Sposato and business manager Scott Morrow were direct, honest and straightforward. Overall, we were treated as a member of the Valenti Toyota family from the moment we walked in the door.

We purchased the Touring model. We absolutely love this car. 2022 was the first year the Touring model had cooling seats. Cooling seats should be a necessity for people with neurodegenerative disorders who have difficulty regulating their body temperature.

2017 Subaru Outback review
I went from owning a 2003 Monte Carlo SS to a 2017 Subaru Outback. It was worth every penny. My Subaru is not only reliable, functional, and cute; it also saved me from being injured in a bad crash. This past fall a six point buck hit my car head on and I never saw it coming. It was a fatal crash for the deer, but not for me. As heartbroken as I was to see my car crumpled on the front, I was so glad it wasn't me. It was a repairable fix and made me really appreciate my car.

She is extremely responsive and very knowledgeable about Acura a car that she also owns! Thanks to Ms. Amanda Morhardt , Rob Cotttingham and all the staff who were involved in the delivery of our ? Including other sales ppl who helped! I was able to buy a car over the phone three and a half hours away without seeing it! Antonio Acura exceeded my expectations ! ?????

They even helped me connect my phone to the Bluetooth in the car. Thanks John and Bob. I will definitely be referring my friends and family.

Nissan Of NorwichReviews
Nissan Of Norwich review
I'm a first time car buyer and was getting very upset with my experience in buying a car. Most all the dealerships were acting like I was a nuisance, not a guest. If I asked for something they sighed and made a face. I was getting highly upset and was about to just not buy a car at all. That's when I was driving by Nissan of Norwich and decided to try one more dealership. I was not really a Nissan guy and had always owned Jeeps before this, but what does it hurt to step out of your comfort zone and try something new? I was greeted by Richard Parker who ended up being my sales associate I worked with through the entire process. I came in just as they were closing without realizing it. But he still wanted to take the time to help me out and test drive not one but two SUVs - Nissan Rouges. After test driving the 2014 Nissan Rouge, I fell in love! No more Jeep for me. I came back two days later and worked again with Richard and Eric in the finance office. The banks originaly did not approve me for the Black Rouge I wanted, but Eric called them up and used the dealerships great track record and good relationship with the bank to advocate on my behalf. It was AMAZING the magic this guy has. He actually got me Approved!! I drove away in the car I wanted! These folks at Nissan of Norwich are truly professionals and know exactly what they are doing, and they do it with Style. I can't explain how happy I am that I am in that vehicle. Unlike the other dealerships, they actually took the time to listen to what I wanted and made sure to match me with a vehicle that completely fit my needs and my budget. They were respectful of my time and what I could bring to the table and really put the effort in to make the deal happen. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a great vehicle. They actually have a used 2012 Plum Nissan Rouge, that was my second choice it's a really nice vehicle. It won't be there for long though, I'm sure it will sell fast lol. But Go check it out, go check them out, I guarantee, you will not be disappointed at all.

My husband and I just bought 2 cars there and we had the best experience! Our salesman Nick was great. No pressure at all and he just went that extra mile for us. We were not rushed and he took the time to explain the the features inside the cars. I will tell everyone this is the place to go and ask for Nick!

I love this car. Could use a little more leg room… and some of the door trim could match better, but overall, the car is absolutely amazing!

This is the eleventh Subaru I have owned, the third outback; the Outback wilderness is by far the best performer of all of the others I have had. I have been happy with subarus from the first one I bought a 1978 Brat; sure wish i still had it.

2025 Subaru Outback review
I have had big trucks and SUV I now have a 2025 Outback wilderness, I had to drive this outback a while to get use to it, it was hard for me to get comfortable in this outback because it sat so low, for 60 years I had a vehicle sat up high and little more room in the front seat area,I got use to it, especially at the gas station with mpg I am getting , I am getting really right around 24 to 25 Mpg I am happy. Now that I have driven this outback for about 2 months I am happy, and in the Outback Wilderness it has the best AWD on the market not 4 wheel drive, never never let anybody tell you it is the same as 4 wheel drive If they do leave the dealership on the spot. I am happy I would buy again as long the price is 40k Or less if the price crosses the 45 k I would have gotten a Toyota 4 runner, not the 2025 models but the 2024 or 2023, remember these models are around 17 mpg with 23 gallon tanks with about 275 to 300 miles per tank

Great people. Knowledgeable and honest. I followed them from Dudley, MA to Putnam, CT. and I live in Worcester. Totally worth the drive.
2024 Subaru Outback review
We currently own the Outback 2024 XT, and it’s a great car to drive. However, its turbo CVT engine does produce a slight lag in acceleration and when slowing down. Just a matter of getting used to. Also had issue with the lift gate button, which broke after only two months in possession. My wife and I are in our 60s, and all our kids have their own families, so thank goodness we don’t have to drive those 8 seater SUVs anymore. This outback has been the best alternative for us.

Nucar Hyundai of North Kingstown review
I recently had my 2017 white Hyundai Tucson painted due to peeling in two small areas. Jeff, a service representative at Nucar Hyundai of North Kingstown, was excellent in helping me. He brought me to the rental desk for a car. Jeff also kept me informed as to when my painting was completed. It took a little over 2 weeks. Any question I asked him of Jeff he gladly answered for me. I would highly recommend working with Jeff. Harriet Wasser

Holmgren Subaru review
Just bought a 2026 Subaru Crosstrek and I love it. Jon Steven’s was so patient when we showed up unexpectedly to try out a vehicle. He helped me decide what was best for me. Dan was very helpful showing me the electronics. Every part of the experience was geared to make me comfortable, down to the financing. I never had a Subaru before but I highly recommend the car and the dealership. Thank you everyone at Holmgren Subaru
2025 Subaru Outback review
I'd say I'm brand-loyal to Subaru, given the ratings and history of the company and its emphasis on charitable contributions to animal and environmental causes, as well as my long time enjoyment of my former Subaru. So, when I needed to replace my 2008 Outback, my decision to upgrade to a new Outback was easy. As for the 2025, compared with the 2008, I am happy with the many "automated" features (like eyesight assisted braking and lane correction, adaptive cruise control, auto dimming brights, Auto Vehicle Hold, etc). Overall, I love the car. On the downside: I do not love the larger size. It feels like the seats and armrests were designed for a larger person than my 2008 Subie was (because the average body size of people had increased in recent years??}, and it's not an ideal fit for me. Also, the angled door armrests do not easily allow for actually resting my arm; it feels like I'm slipping off of it. I wish Subaru had not increased the size of the Outback, which now feels more like an SUV than a wagon. Maybe when I take my first car-camping trip, I'll appreciate the roomier interior.

Paul Holdon from Holmgren subaru was top notch! Excellent to work with. He went above and beyond to get me the exact car that I wanted.
2018 Subaru Outback review
I have the 2018 Outback 3.6R Limited, at 110,000 miles I replaced all struts and wheel bearing, the ride still isn’t the best but air pressure in tires kept at 39 psi has improved the ride significantly. I had a 2021 with the 4 cylinder engine and the reason I got rid of it was the cvt is fragile and doesn’t handle much weight or towing plus the screen and push buttons for everything, very distracting when driving and looking for the right soft touch function. I have had much better results going backwards to the 2018 6 cylinder engine and heavy duty cvt. It uses a 5W30 engine oil which is a million times better than 0W20 which honestly is really thin and breaks down quickly.

Anchor Auto Group - Subaru Nissan review
We had hoped to have a good car buying experience when we went to Anchor Subaru and instead we had a great experience with our salesman Frantz. He listened very well to get an understanding of what we were looking for. In a short time he had shown us one of a few cars that became exactly what we were looking for. We decided the next day to trade in our other car for a new Crosstrek. We couldn't be happier with the way everything was handled and we love both of our recently purchased cars. All of our interactions with Frantz were very easy and accomodating. We had a hitch put on one of our recently purchased vehicles and Jack in the Service Department handled that experience so well. The waiting room at the dealership is very relaxing and roomy. Snacks and drinks are available as complimentary. Anchor Subaru stands out as a top dealership! We have purchased vehicles here before and it is always a pleasure.

I had THE best experience at Carmax...the salespeople were non-pressuring, helpful and just amazing (especially Daniel!). They went out of their way to make every step comfortable and unpainful. I will most definitely go there when I need to buy my daughter a car and when I need to upgrade in a few years!
2023 Subaru Outback review
2023 Subaru Outback Limited XT. A great station wagon (it’s not really a SUV). Comfortable leather seats, smooth ride and extremely quick with the turbo. If you don’t need seating for eight, you have no need for the Ascent. Same engine and cargo capacity and ground clearance, lower to the ground, faster, better handling and several thousand dollars cheaper. Standard all wheel drive. Full safety suite. 11.6” infotainment system is really closer to 8” as the climate control takes the additional 3.6”. The Harmon Kardon sound system will blow your doors off. Good in car navigation. Wireless Apple Car Play and Android Auto. Hands free tailgate. 0-60 in 5.8 on regular gas. Standard roof rails. Even has heated outboard rear seats. If you’re considering a midsize or smaller SUV you owe it to yourself to drive this first.

Imperial Subaru review
My wife and I leased a forester for 3 years and decided to buy a CROSTREK 2025 . WE decided our joints couldn't quite get used to getting in and out so we went back and purchased a 2026 Forester. We had a stress less experience buying a car with Emily Messier who walked us through a great experience. Rmilu is professional and very friendly. I would recommend any interested new car buyer to visit Imperial Subaru in Foxborough and seeing Emily for a great car buying experience. We were so pleased with Emily and I am sure we would go back again. Thank you EMILY.
2024 Subaru Outback review
The acceleration lag that this car has is immediately outweighed by everything else. This car is super smooth and granny sedan comfy, and it has more utility than any equally priced SUV. The roof rails have built-in cross bars that stow, it tows 3500 pounds, and the Harmon-Kardon sound system kicks. It has butt fans, people. Additionally, the aftermarket base is thick, so accessories, customization, and reflashing options abound. The tech is old, the powertrain is old, but you see 300 of them a day for a reason.
