2025 Honda CR-V review
The CRV is a luxury mid size hatchback. Smooth riding, handles well in Michigan’s winter weather 🤒. Good miles per gallon. I do drive in economy mode. I am still getting used to the size after driving a Honda Odessy. Good overall view. No obvious blind spots. I wish it had a manual garage opener feature on on the Ex.

2019 Hyundai KONA EV review
We've had our 2019 Kona Electric Ultimate for almost 5 years. She's been a great car. Super easy to maintain -- tires, windshield wiper blades and fluid, cabin filters. The 12v battery needs to be replaced a bit. Otherwise, no complaints. She's fun to drive, easy to care for, low maintenance costs. Really good car!!

2024 Chevrolet Equinox review
I've had my fwd lt for a few months now. Great car. At first I thought it was a bit underpowered, but it more than makes up for it in fuel economy. 2021 Mazda CX-5 review
The only issue I have had was the code P0126 having to do with the thermostat. This is common for this car. I was 170 miles from home when it happened. I talked to a Mazda dealer and they said I could drive it home, which I did and made an appointment with the dealer to have it fixed. It has not happened again. I am very happy with this car!

2021 Acura RDX review
Best vehicle Acura has made in last 15 years. Test drive an RDX Advance SHAWD package on sport mode for 15-20 mins and you’ll be sold. Beautiful airy cabin with pano, and the ELS sound system is killer! 2.0 turbo engine + 10 speed trans are bulletproof. Have my RDX Advance for 2 years now and will enjoy it for at least another 5 years. These are made to last, much like my 2006 TL that I have for over a decade, with 200k+ troublefree miles on the clock.

2020 Mazda CX-5 review
I love it! Bought it new in 2020. Grand Touring Reserve with the turbo in Soul Crystal red metallic. I'm currently at 56k miles with zero issues. I do oil changes every 5k miles. Originally I test drove a CRV, RAV4, Forrester, and CX5. I picked the Mazda bc it looks, feels, and drives like a luxury SUV. 320 |b/ft of torque for a compact really gives it the edge over anything else in the class. Four years later and it still feels as solid as the day I bought it. The handling's amazing, and the ride is great! Some people have called the ride firm but I would say it's super compliant. It settles very quickly over bumps without feeling upset. The Bose system sounds "good" but only has bass and treble adjustments with no mid which would make it even better. The ventilated seats work better than in other cars I tested as well. It's also one of the quietest too letting in very little wind and tire noise.

2019 Buick Envision review
I’ve had my 2019 Buick Envision since January of this year (2023). We were traveling from GA to MS today and for the first time ever after hitting a bump two different times (a couple hours apart) our vehicle started vibrating and shaking terribly. Very concerning.

2022 Volkswagen Tiguan review
I have owned this 2023 Tiguan SEL R line for almost a year. I have been absolutely satisfied with the quality, the ride, the fuel mileage and everything else about it. This was an out of town purchase. I live in Houston, TX. I purchased from Pittsburg, TX. So all comms was done via phone. They worked w/me on price. Included in the agreement was that they would ship the vehicle to me. I decided to purchase. Overall the purchase part went well. However, I have execellent credit, so part of the purchasing process going well was because of me (credit score & putting $15k down). I had interactions w/Amy M. Jose V. (GM) and Cesar (Finance). All interactions w/the people were fine, all were nice & professional. The only hiccup was the delivery aspect of the process. I purchased the vehicle on 06/04 (Wed). I did my part & was very prompt about completing the paperwork via docusign & sending the wire for $15k. I received a call from Amy on Fri, 06/06 wanting to confirm my address for the temp plates. I asked about delivery & she said that it should be delivered to me today. I was very excited to hear that I was going to get my Jeep. Then she put me on hold & came back & said they could not ship because there were problems w/funding. I told her that they got the wire & that finance went through them & there were no problems. I quickly called their local bank & their bank confirmed they received the wire the day before. I text Amy & Jose to find out what is really going on....did not hear back, so I called. All ended up being fine (however, I suspect it was a diversion to use as an excuse as to why the vehicle was not going to be shipped that day since she slipped-up & said that it was going to be). Later that night Jose called me to tell me that my car would be delivered on Mon, but I had to pick it up from Manhiem probably around 5pm. I agreed. Mon, 06/09, a lot of back & forth, back & forth (I left work early & had to take an Uber (1 hr to work & 1 hr back) since I got rid of my truck on Sun, 06/07, since I was told I would be getting my vehicle delivered on Mon. No vehicle on Mon... I was then told it would be here Tues, 06/10 b/c of the weather they had on Mon....Well, little did they know that my husband drove open road & hot shot & shipping companies don't play that game. Rain is not going to stop them (my husband was later told (after getting involved) that it was due to a driver have a "tummy ache")....Tues rolls around, a lot of back & forth again. I borrowed my husband truck & left work early again, so I could get to that side of town & get the car without the transport guy waiting on me. Nope, .....no car. Was told it would be Wed by 3pm, but no later than 5pm....took Uber to work (1-hr there, left work early again) & Ubered back 1-hr. A lot of back & forth, back & forth...& was told that the vehicle was picked up & left about 11:30am-12noon....It is a 4-1/2 drive from Pittsburg, TX to Houston, TX...the weather was bad, but a driver would only go through bad weather for about 1-2 hours out of the 4-1/2 drive (was watching weather radar on phone)....Sat by my phone from 3:30pm to 7:45pm waiting on a call from the transport company. Got a text from Jose saying the transport company had been trying to call me for 2 hours ----xxxxxxxx! I had my phone on me like white-on-rice. Headed over to Manheim got the vehicle. Note, my purchasing paperwork said the Odometer was 10 miles. I got in the vehicle and the mileage was 43 miles. Wow! Someone was cruising around about 33 miles on my expense. Not cool. In any event, I must say Jose V. was very professional throughout the whole process. There were times I wished he would have been the one to keep me posted, instead of me being the one having to constantly text for info & updates. Would I buy from them again? Yes. However, I would not leave it to them to transport a vehicle. Just pay the money & get your own shipping vendor to do it. The loss of work for 3 days in a row & the cost of Uber was not cool either. Transporter said he left Pittsburg, TX at 2:30-3pm....so that was a lie as well, when I was told driver left at 12.
2016 Mazda CX-5 review
Whether you’re an enthusiast or not, you will enjoy this thing until the wheels fall off. Now, if you’re an enthusiast, or just someone who loves the feel of the road underneath you but needs something fairly practical? This is the car for you. With ample power, and steering feel that would put some sports cars to shame, you will feel confident, and often joyous when behind the wheel of the CX-5, especially with the Manual version that came in the “Sport” trim! Although that engine is suggested to be fairly gutless. However, if you prefer the automatic versions with the larger engine, like in my Grand Touring trim, you will absolutely be able to enjoy the road, regardless of the local speed limit. The CX-5 may not be the fastest car in its class, but it surely is the most fun, and the best value among its competitors.. but it’s mainly just fun. I recently got my CX-5 at my local dealer, and it has done nothing but get me to work when I want it to, taken me on small trips to wherever I want, and without any real complaints. Only times it gets annoyed with me is if I need to pass anybody at highway, but that’s what makes it so much fun to live with in my opinion, especially with the little rev-happy 4-pot motors that it can come with. In conclusion, if you want a sub-compact crossover.. but also want the feel of Mazda’s own roadster? Get the CX-5. It will bring you as many smiles per gallon as you need it to.

2022 Volkswagen Tiguan review
It's a medium-sized SUV. It's not a Porsche, Audi or MB. It is comfortable, reliable, the size and capacity I sought. In two years I've put on ~24K miles and absolutely no problems. My wife is handicapped and uses a walker. She thought the car was comfortable and we made two round trips from Hartford, CT to Key West. In the last 60 years We've had a Beetle, Passat, and a VW Bus that carried our family of four and 2 Dachshunds aacross the country and back to Connecticut - Twice!

2017 Nissan Rogue review
Don’t know why people hate Nissans with CVT. Now that I’ve lived with the CVT with 140,000 miles I know I wouldn’t buy another one, but it’s been just fine, no issues. This isn’t a sporty vehicle but for 8 years and 140k miles it gets the job done every time. I just don’t get the hatred towards these cars. I do have AWD but if I were to do it over I’d drop that option. It’s expensive to maintain and truthfully I don’t go outside when the weather is bad anyway so I doubt the AWD feature has ever engaged, not even once. I plan to keep my vehicle for 10 years then get a minivan.

2014 Subaru Forester review
I was between a rock and a hard place after my Honda passed away-it drove itself to its demise due to the handbrake not on tight enough. So I had nothing to trade, no leverage. I know Subarus owned many Outbacks and they go forever. The problem is I'm 5' tall and this car is too big for me after the Honda and a Miata I have. I had 2 big dogs and felt the car would be great for a dog owner. Which it is. One dog rode on the back seat (covered) the other had the back to herself. Great for a dog owner. If you need a crate there's plenty of room. This would be a great vehicle for a children or pet family. I only have one 10 yr old dog left and this uses too much gas for me to consider a practical vehicle.
