2022 Hyundai VENUE review
I have the 2021 Venue Denim which is now called the Limited. I purchased the car mainly because I liked the exterior styling and I wanted something with a little more ground clearance than the Honda Fit that I had before this car. I live in the Northeastern US and we do get some snow. AWD is not available in this car, but the high ground clearance with the "Snow Mode" option makes the car pretty good in snow as long as it's not very deep. The value of the car is extremely good if you compare it to what you get from other car makers. I also like the maneuverability of the car and the ease of parking due to the overall short length.

2015 Buick Encore review
The car is beautiful inside. The seats are comfortable. I have a heated steering wheel and seated seats. The car has an automatic starter. I put high test in engine and the pick up is great. 2024 Hyundai VENUE review
It’s a great vehicle! I average 40 mpg on the highway and 35 in town. It sits high and has great visibility. The doors open wide with easy ingress. The steering wheel has tilt and tel. I love the moonroof. It has disc brakes all around and stops very quickly. It seems very solid in overall build. The cargo area has clever features too. Mine is green with a grey interior and looks great. I really like this little SUV.

2025 Volkswagen Taos review
I like the white and black combo. I like that it's not too big and is AWD. Still getting use to the technology. I can start and lock the doors from my phone. It notifies me if I left a window or the sunroof open. Will not go far if the trunk door is not completely shut. This is my 1st suv, I like sitting up higher than in a sedan.

2022 Hyundai VENUE review
I purchased this car in the spring of 2022 for my teenager driver. This is a fantastic car for a young driver. It won't win any street races (nor do I want it to for a teen), gets fantastic mileage, is nimble (particularly nice for them parking at school) and is packed with features that you find on more expensive cars (such as wireless Apple Car Play0---which my wife's 2022 Audi Q3 doesn't even have). Add the long term warrant coverage and this is a very good buy. At just over $21k, I am very pleased with this car almost a year after buying it.

2024 Buick Encore GX review
My wife and I are very pleased with our 2024 Encore GX purchased used w/ only 2500 mi on the clock. The Encore GX is one of the current Buick lineup of 3 small SUVs for about $25k; I suspect these hidden gems are unknown to many Americans. Unfortunately Buick's focus on China has resulted in the Buick brand being all but forgotten in the US. The NHTSA has given a ***** Overall Safety Rating to the 2024 GX. I have one negative with the Encore -- I'm 6'-1" and the Encore is small for me. Some call the cabin "surprisingly roomy" for a sub-compact suv. Truth be said IT'S JUST SMALL. Likes * 1.2L Turbo engine surprisingly strong in city driving * Entry-level luxury at a moderate price * Fun to drive (some call it boring) * Lots and lots and ... of safety features * Excellent mileage (30+ mpg) for an ICE SUV * Sits up high (as a SUV should!) due to 18" wheels * Quiet cabin due to Buick's QuietTuning technology * Heated seats, steering wheel, outside mirrors * Physical buttons/knobs for radio, climate controls -great * Power hatch/liftgate w/ kick plate - very handy * Traction & Stability control Dislikes * 1.2L Turbo engine is somewhat challenged on the highway * Design same-same as every other small SUV on the road * Digital Speedo and NO Tach; I prefer the real thing * Seats are narrow, hard and uncomfortable on long trips * Road noise is worse than expected for a Buick * Small cargo area w/o rear seat backs down * Insufficient legroom in back seats * Insufficient rear headroom for tall persons * AM/FM/Satellite radio difficult to program * VERY sensitive brakes and accelerator

2023 Mazda CX-30 review
Bought a brand new 2023 Mazda CX 30 and really like the safety features that are standard features in this car. As an empty nester and retiree, the lane keep assist and lane warning are a welcome feature in this car. The lane warning and assist has an pleasant chime warning sound and the steering wheel vibrate warning the driver that he/she is deviating from the lane. With a little nudge of the steering wheel by the system get you back in your lane. Blind spot monitoring is also a great safety feature to let the driver know that a nearby car is on the nest lane, caution is suggested when changing lane. Cross traffic alert is also great, and it can even detect a person approaching the back side of your car when on reverse, of course it also detects a car approaching when reversing. The interior fit and finish is excellent, it makes the car feel and look like a luxury car without the price of a luxury car. This car is brand new, so I am still in the process of learning about the car. IMO, if you want to experience how the Mazda CX 30 is, get a test drive. You may like it or love it like I do. I retired and move from CT to NC. I wanted to start fresh with a new built home and a new car. I joined Costco and used their car buying service. I knew the car I wanted a Black on Black Santa Fe Hybrid Calligraphy Edition which they at least 2 of on the lot. When I arrived at the dealer I was introduced to Omar by the Costco contact I had made. Omar had the car brought around and we took a nice test drive with him pointing out all the awesome bells and whistles the car had. Then it was down to making a deal. The Costco price was very good Hyundai had 4k off on top of that and they gave me more for my trade then I figured I could get selling it myself. Once the deal was done it was off to the finance office I did not want to finance as I had the cash but to get the 4k off you had to. So I just paid it off once my account was setup a few days later. I did not know I would be driving my new car home that night but lucky for me I cleaned out the car and even grabbed my tile from the safe before I left home. Omar was a busy man that day in fact he was selling a White Santa Fe to another customer at the same time. But he still took the time to get me setup with all the tech for car and give me great pointers on how to use all the tech in my new car. I would recommended both Omar and Johnson Hyundai if you are in need of a new car. And I don't work for Costco but if you are not a member then sign up for 65 bucks they give you a 20.00 coupon so 45 net. You will save way more then that on the car and you can shop there for a year. Bottom line 5 stars for Omar, Johnson Hyundai and Costco.

2025 Chevrolet Trax review
Bought to replace a Cruze that was a real road warrior . 2025 Trax 3 cyl does 70 mph plus on trips with 3 adults in comfort . LS model had no rear hatch cover . Bought one off FB Marketplace for $10. Dealer wanted $235. Used the rubber floor mats from the old Cruze and snapped right into place on the Trax for the winter weather . Doing more frequent oil changes because of wet belt setup . Originally wanted a Buick Envista but felt the $21200 Trax was basically the same car for thousands less .

I'm compelled to share my good experience at this Carmax dealership. I ordered my car from their Fayetteville store with a free transfer. They kept me informed through text and email of the transfer status. I could have waited for a call but since I knew it arrived I called to schedule a test drive. I had applied online for financing and was approved with little detail but when I called to see if they would transfer to Fayetteville they asked similar questions and got the finalized approval. The salesman on the phone had an instant approval with 3 term options and the corresponding interest rate. He told me what the payment would be. In the end the payment was exactly as they quoted by phone. I expected to be in and out but spent 4 hours there. That probably wasn't normal though. The salesman Bob and I talked too much and he messed up our address in the computer. It happens. The other slowdown was the slight difference between the drivers license name and the credit app name. Oddly enough those small mistakes cost us an extra hour and a half. It happens. Meanwhile during the test drive I noticed a vibration on the highway over 60mph. They decided to have it looked at while we were there and rebalance the tires as well as resurfacing the front rotors. I was honestly surprised that they did the rotors. I didnt mention anything about them. I thought it was just the tires. In the end the vehicle took longer than the purchase process. It was quite an operation they had. They've really streamlined their processes. The financing, trade-in process, transfer process, detailing process, service process etc. Were really wild to see in action. The things I loved: The approval and disclosure process of financing. The transfer process. The minimization of paperwork. The teamwork process of communication. The dealership itself. The cars are all open to look in and sit in without a need for a salesman to get keys. No need for proof of income with fair to less than fair credit. Free coffee and bottled water. Fixing issues on the car while we complete the purchase and paperwork. The cons: small mistakes made very long wait. I'm quicker than them at moving the process forward. No negotiation price is a little high. Tips: as with everything in life do your due diligence. Inspect the car thoroughly. Utilize their carfax and recall information. Consider selling your car elsewhere for more money if you paid off your trade. Push along the process if you want it to go faster. Dont buy their gap insurance. Its overpriced and negates a good deal. Consider an outside warranty company for a better price. Realize a well placed call will hurry the process and verify what one person told you as being true. Place a hold on a vehicle you like for 7 days for free. Apply online to streamline the process.

2022 Kia Seltos review
I've owned this car for a little over 10 months now, and I thoroughly enjoy it. Some of the things that could use some improvement would be road noise, speakers in the back are almost inaudible, placement of the infotainment screen is kind of odd, and maybe less plastic in the interior. As far as the engine goes and transmission, transmission runs smooth and the engine could use a little more get up and go. Of course I only have the 2.0L. The ride is pretty smooth and I don't feel too many bumps like I did in my Soul.

2024 Chevrolet Trax review
Genuinely a fun car to drive. Packs a lot of tech for the money, and only compromises with its transmission (which can feel a bit sluggish sometimes). Bought mine new back in May, approaching 7,000 miles and still pleased with the driving experience. It's super minimalist yet has a lot of creature comforts standard that make the experience all the more enjoyable; mainly its heated seats, wireless Android auto/car play, and remote start capability (with my 1RS model I also have the heated steering wheel, a very nice addition to have in the winter). While it prioritizes a sporty look over sporty performance, it doesn't really leave you feeling like you're missing out, you can pull to overtake without feeling like you're giving the car its all. I've had a few hiccups on occasion with the infotainment center becoming unresponsive and causing static over music, but after a few minutes it corrects itself, overall the issue is a rare occasion. Lots of cargo space and a comfortable ride, this SUV was a great match for the often unpredictable roads of Michigan.

2018 Porsche Macan review
One of the most fun cars I have ever driven. The acceleration and handling are on another level than the X5M or X3M. It’s also practical and looks extremely sharp. Infotainment could be better - the PDK is lightening fast though. Exhaust tone is amazing. I can go on and on.

I have only owned the car about a month. I purchased pre-owned. The car does not have good acceleration. Slow in fact. That's my one complaint. A big complaint really. The car is fully loaded with all the bells and whistles a car can have. Once you plug your Android or iPhone into the outlet it will connect automatically to the car. One of my favorite features is the reading my text messages to me feature! NICE feature to have. I didn't want a big SUV, this size works perfect for me.
