Romeo VW of KingstonReviews
Romeo VW of Kingston review
I had an amazing experience at Romeo Volkswagen! I recently purchased a 2022 Volkswagen Atlas, and the entire process was smooth, stress-free, and actually enjoyable. A huge thank you to my sales rep, Jim Parker, who made everything so easy. He was knowledgeable, patient, and never pushy—making sure I felt comfortable and confident every step of the way. What really stood out was how incredibly toddler-friendly the team was. They went out of their way to keep my daughter entertained during the process, which made such a difference for me as a mom. It’s not something you find everywhere, and it truly meant a lot. If you’re looking for a dealership that genuinely cares about their customers (and their little ones!), I highly recommend Romeo Volkswagen!
2022 Volkswagen Taos review
I bought the 22 model in Apr of 22 and had it about a year and the ac compressor went out. It took them a couple of months to get one and when they did they found that it had metal shavings all in the lines so they had to replace everything in the circuit. They gave us a loaner car for two weeks and so far it’s been working fine. Have had a couple of software updates so far but no other issues. Have just turned 10,000 miles. The transmission is jerky so I basically drive it around in sport mode to keep it from dropping into the highway gear. Overall we like it

Billy was very nice and answered all our questions. He took the time to go over all new features in my new Q7. Helped us set up special features and email for remote start. Everyone we encountered was polite and kind. Thank you so much.
2025 Volkswagen Taos review
I like the white and black combo. I like that it's not too big and is AWD. Still getting use to the technology. I can start and lock the doors from my phone. It notifies me if I left a window or the sunroof open. Will not go far if the trunk door is not completely shut. This is my 1st suv, I like sitting up higher than in a sedan.

Solid for a convertible. Goes surprisingly well in the snow and with the seats down can haul stuff. I have this as my only car and it is actually very practical. Plus, it’s just a joy to drive.

2017 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack review
I drove a Golf TSI for years and absolutely loved it. Never wanted drive a different car as long as Iived. Then I had a kid(which is is tight with a golf) and someone pulled out in front of me and it got totalled. I took the money and upgraded to the Alltrack because its basically the same car with more room and AWD. Absolutely love it! Gas mileage is significantly lower than my Golf, but it still has some zip. The DSG transmission is like butter. Ill drive this car into the ground.

2025 Volkswagen Atlas review
Such a great overall car. 2.0 turbo, almost beat a sedan BMW in a race..LOL. Very very comfortable, They have ACTUAL HVAC, into the back 3RD row so they aren't always hot or cold. They are very quiet inside or driving around. Smooth like a Lexus. Recommend now my whole family has a ATLAS

2023 Volkswagen Golf GTI review
Volkswagen did a great job refining the MK8 GTI. Key points -One of the best handling FWD cars mainly due to the LSD, XDS and suspension refinement. -Very smooth power deliver almost 0 turbo lag. - 40th anniversary has to be the best value purchase as it comes standard with DCC and IQ lightings which are only available on the highest trim. The negatives include: -The infotainment can be improved wireless android and apple car play need to be standard. Can't set your phone properly on the wireless charger when the phone is attached to the wire. - Compared to the MK7 the coin holder and the sliding storage below the driver sear is missing. -Unable to disable auto start and stop feature permanently as restores to default on every time you start the vehicle.

2023 Volkswagen Atlas review
My atlas has been an excellent car to me. Other than the poor quality factory tires I have had 0 issues. I tow a 4,500lb Coleman with my atlas with minimal stress. It's truly impressive. Most comfortable SUV I could have while still getting 22 MPG when getting groceries.

2023 Volkswagen ID.4 review
2023 VW ID.4 PRO S. 1 year this July of 24, 16000 miles. Before the latest software update of 3.1 or 3.5 we could the full state of charge was 300 Miles. After the update, the max SOC dropped to 253. But many software problems were fix. The 12V battery is stronger than the 2021 (they were updated later). Fast charge to 80% is 35 minutes or less. I charge at home in Arizona we have solar with SUNRUN. We installed a 50amp this provides us with using WALLBOX 11kw so for example, today Apr 8, 2024. to charge at home from 18% SOC to 80% took rounding up 3 hours. Not bad. March Electicy bill was $40. No expense for fuel and money saved.

2023 Volkswagen ID.4 review
Despite the scary looking recalls my 2023 AWD Pro-s model has been 99.9% reliable. In comparison to my previous 2021 ID.4 pro-s which had several annoying system failures that necessitated immediate trips to the dealership. However the 2021 pro-s has the folding mirror option which I had expected to get in the 2023 pro-s but was very dissatisfied to learn it had been remover and put in the ‘+’ package. The mirror option should be offered as a standalone upgrade to all non ‘+’ 2023 and 2024 models as no $50k plus car should be without it.

I have a 2019 Atlas. This car is amazing and mind you I can't kill it. My car has 188,000 miles on it. The drive is smooth and very reliable. It has the room to fit all 5 of my kiddos perfectly and enough room in the trunk to even fit a wonderfold wagon with all the seats up. I highly recommend if you want a good SUV with a lot of room in it

2018 Volkswagen Tiguan review
Going on 3 years with my 2018 Tiguan. Last year heading to Pheonix from Northern AZ in middle of nowhere lost power and could only go 25mph. Stopped and waited for tow. Took it to VW dealer they fixed it free on a recall. Only problem so far kept garage and maintained. Only minor gripe is the light weight 0 20 oil is hard to read on dipstick..consistency of water. Runs well plenty of power for this old guy.

Poppy was great to buy from. Was shopping for my first car. Found an awesome car through cars.com and we called him. Took it for a test drive, before which he had already put new tires and breaks on the vehicle. AC had issues, he got it fixed by a repair shop in 2 days, and picked it up shortly after. Car has a few cosmetic issues but he didn't try to hide them. Car came with a warranty which is great for peace of mind, but keep in mind not all of his cars do. He gave us a great deal, and I couldn't be happier.
2019 Volkswagen Atlas review
This is my 2nd VW. My 1st was a 02 passat I bought in 2013. It was the most reliable car I ever owned. It has 230000 miles and still runs great! This Atlas takes things to a whole different level. The look, performance and features are world-class! The only knock I would have is the mpg is average at best. Only 20mpg on average. But overall it is a great vehicle for the price. The SEL trim is fully loaded. Whatever feature you could imagine, it has it. I hope to enjoy this vehicle for years to come.

This is the second purchase I have made with Sam Perry at Hudson Cadillac and I wouldn't think of going anywhere else. I felt I was among friends, with Clifton Kearney sharing his knowledge of this car and Allan Rothemel showing me the features and pairing my phone. I drove my new car home the next day!
2025 Volkswagen Taos review
I bought a 2022 Taos and drove it for 3 1/2 years. I liked the car so much that I bought a 2025 Taos. My wife is now driving the 2022 and I am driving the 2025. Both cars are pure joy to sit in and to drive. The interior and legroom are spacious. The only negatives are the VW does not offer a power, passenger seat and a power hatch closer. Other than that, it is the perfect vehicle for us.

I worked with Tim Smith at Unlimited Motors to purchase my Toyota 4Runner. He was extremely helpful, very courteous made me feel that he truly cared about getting me the right deal for the SUV I wanted. He made the process very simple and very relaxed - I have been to other dealerships and worked with pushy salesman, and Tim was opposite of that! I would absolutely recommend purchasing from Tim!

Unlimited Motors review
This dealer is the bomb, I drove six hours to get to the dealership and the car that I drove to see was exactly how they described. Closed the deal within 1 hr. When I got home I looked for the wheel lock nut and it wasn’t there, went to dealer locally and bought one. Let unlimited motors know about the transaction and they refunded me for the part. Very, very satisfied with this dealershio
2015 Volkswagen Golf R review
Bought used golf R at 100k miles. Currently needs new struts dcc (3000), water pump 3rd time (2500), and walnut blasting (500). Maintenance is not cheap on these cars and they have known repeated issues(water pump). I have the DSG stage 1 car is wicked fast. Like embarrass a mustang 5.0 hang with and m5/m3, gap an sti or focus rs. Seriously one of the quickest cars out there in a straight line. But has no soul, interior is Uber quiet (can’t hear exhaust), dsg is great for up shifts but has a definite lag on downshifts. Suspension is awful especially with 19’s crashes and booms over everything passengers will jump, not good for daily driving on anything but the best roads. Brakes are phenomenal along with pedal feel and honestly will stop on a dime. It’s not true and as it is FWD until slip is detected but it rips. In my opinion even though it is way faster, brakes better, fender audio best I’ve heard, the Wrx is way more fun ! If you are ready for expensive repair bills and checking your fluids all the time buy a VW.
