2016 Ford F-150 review
2016 is a good yr since there is limited electronic safety features. Truck has excellent ride, is quiet and gets great gas mileage with the 2.7 liter V6. My F150 has a 36 gallon tank and I've gotten over 1000 miles per fill up.

2017 GMC Yukon review
I bought this 2017 Tahoe w LT trim new. Have 60K on it now and have had no issues with it. We are not towing with it or doing high speed racing so we find the 5.3L Motor is smooth and quiet (and have not had any lifter issues which others have reported). Transmission and suspension also smooth. We keep Michelins on all our vehicles and have found this Tahoe very quiet and comfortable for road trips with 4-6 people and luggage. The LT trim pkg deleted some comfort items I wish I had (like heated steering wheel) but it still is pretty much leather-and-loaded so it was a good value at the time. I have had Suburbans for 35yrs before purchasing this Tahoe and I will probably go back to a Suburban for the extra cargo space when I trade this Tahoe in. But this has been a nice and reliable vehicle for us. No complaints.

2014 Toyota Tacoma review
Purchased this truck new ten years ago, four door, six foot bed, towing package- fuel mileage is not the best (16mpg avg) due to the towing gear ratio, however I tow a lot of boats up to 22 feet and have never had a problem. Currently have 80,000 miles with only routine manufacturer recommended maintenance. Only negative, my wife finds the truck too long (19 feet) for the mall parking spaces.

2015 Honda Civic review
It's a small but not tiny. It sort of roomier in the front but tighter in the rear seats. My model is the 2 doors coupe ex, with stick shift, it came well equipped with all the bells and whistles. Is good on gas and fun to drive. It's not incredible peppy but is fast and strong, and there's a lot of ways you can customize it with. Hondas have always been known for reliability, and this car won't disappoint you, it has 140k miles on it and stills runs like it was new. I got a really good deal from the dealer I bought it from, and they're pretty good overall. I would definitely buy from this place again!

2018 RAM 1500 review
I bought my 2017 Ecodiesel in April of 2018 at a significant discount from MSRP due to "Dieselgate" with VW and then modified software on these. They were held up for months so that the software could be corrected, so by the time they were available for purchase there was a massive overstock on them. With the complete re-design for the 2019 models, dealers were looking to get these moved out and offered big incentives to do so (up to $20,000 off). There have also been some recalls for a few things, but nothing that has seemed to go wrong on my vehicle, but I took it in to get everything addressed for the recalls. That being said, I haven't had any issues with the truck not working at any time and it is one of the most comfortable riding vehicles I've owned, especially on longer trips. The little diesel engine gets excellent milage on the freeway (about 28 mpg) and about 20 around town. Seats have coolers and heaters, the steering wheel also has a heater, auto start, good lumbar support, a nice sound system, "Millenium Falcon" style ice boxes under the rear passenger floor spots, and a lot of other features that even new trucks don't have. Plus I am not having to "rent" services that came in my truck like a lot of new vehicles force people into. It hauls what I need it to haul, tows what I need it to tow, and drives where I need it to go. Does what a truck should and with comfort to boot.

2020 Kia Sorento review
6cyl has good power and acceleration. Sun roof motor failed on me even though I barely used it. Costly to replace. Oil pressure switch failed on me. About a $30 part but $1400 to replace because it’s difficult and time consuming to replace. Third seat not really usable but I only needed the space for hauling. Overall a decent vehicle.

2020 Volvo XC60 review

2021 Subaru Outback review
My family has owned Subarus for a very long time, starting in the late 90's with my parents, an 89 Legacy L wagon, then a 2005 Outback XT, continuing with my wife and I. Our last Subaru, a 2002 Legacy GT wagon (a pretty rare car here in the US, even the Subaru-crazy Portland-metro area) was stolen during Covid. We went Subaru-less until June 8 2026, when we picked up the 45000 mile 2021 Outback XT Limited. The Limited trim is one rung below the top-trim Touring XT and above the Onxy XT. For the curious, XT= the turbo engine version, which I HIGHLY recommend if you actually enjoy driving your car like I do (and other perks). Why did we choose the Limited XT over a truck or another SUV/crossover? 1) The styling. Love it or hate it, wagons are just cool. They've grown on me. It's just different from everything else on the road. 2) I like the carlike ride, driving dynamics, comfort, but the SUV-like interior space, ground clearance and driving position (OB's have 8.7 inches of ground clearance). The Limited trim is the best one in my opinion because you get upgraded interior sound-deadening (thicker window glass, more insulation), upgraded stereo (which sounds awesome), and memory for the driver seat (2 presets). Here's what I like: It's a Subaru without the Subaru quirks from prior generations. It's quiet inside. Just as quiet or more than our Volvo XC90 V8. Even the 2019 3.6R Touring we test drove was noisier inside. The ride is very smooth. Seats are very comfortable for long-hauls. Vancouver, WA to Bend, OR and no aches or pains or cramps. Handling is also good, better than a SUV. This isn't nimble like a Miata or Honda Civic, but for a 3900 lb car it's great. The powertrain. I love the 2.4 turbo engine. It's smooth, quiet, and makes all its torque by 2000 RPM. The non-turbo Outback gets along okay without the 2.5 non-turbo, but the XT makes a huge difference when you want it. It's much faster than the 3.6R it replaced and gets better fuel economy. Personally, unless you want the extra fuel economy, there's no reason not to get the XT. Fuel economy? Highway cruising 70-75 mph is 28 mpg. Pulling grades or a load of gear drops it to 27 mpg. Heavy-footed driving in town and the mileage is rough at times: I saw a low 17.5 once, but it's usually 22 to 23 in town if I keep my foot out of it (that's hard). Here's what I'm not sold on after over a month of ownership. The CVT: If you're coming from only driving conventional automatics, there's a learning curve on how to drive it smoothly. Smooth is the keyword. let the transmission do the work. You can paddle shift it, but it's better to leave it in D. The power delivery could be better. Again, it's a CVT. Off the line foot to the floor and there's a waiting period before it goes. However, like 30 to 80 mph is wild! Like 3 seconds, and onramps are fun! Again, fuel economy isn't fantastic, real-world mixed driving is 22-23 mpg. The infotainment system: Starlink will require getting used to. None of our cars have ever had one, so it's not a big deal for me, but someone used to one may have moments of frustration with the lag and slow response to inputs. Just be patient and it gets bearable over time. Android Auto is USB tether-only along with CarPlay. It works fine, but again...laggy. The display washes out some in sunlight, so you may have to turn the dimmer up. I had to make a habit of turning off auto stop start as soon as I start the engine now. I despise auto stop-start! 2018 Cadillac XT5 review
Previously I had a GM Blazer that was the worst car I’ve ever hard. So I was afraid to buy another GM car. But this 2018 XT5 should be on some kind of special 10 out of 10 list. I found this car on a Cadillac dealer’s lot with only 700 miles on it. I guess I got lucky because in 8 years I had a small AC issue and nothing else! It handles incredibly and never seems to have any issues! I can only hope it continues for another 8 years. It is great!

2017 Volvo XC90 review
I loved my XC90 but traded it due to the cost of fuel. I drive 40 miles a day roundtrip to work. I would easily go through a tank of gas in four days. Best mileage I ever got was about 22 highway. The XC90 is a heavy SUV and shaped like a block. Not a lot of aerodynamics. As for comfort and luxury you can't go wrong the XC 90 is pure luxury and has great pickup and handling. Just be aware the mileage is not good.

2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee review
I've been driving for 43 years now and have owned an array of different vehicles, however I've never been financially fortunate to purchase a luxury model - until now! I was looking for a mid size vehicle that would check many boxes for my snowy Michigan commutes, along with distant travel comfort to and from my cabin and some towing capacity. I have only had this for roughly 1500 miles and wow.. My first impression was luxury. So many base options included in a mid sized and mid priced SUV that pleasantly surprised me. Secondly was the ride quality. Both smooth and quiet and handling. I've read other reviews discussing power inadequacy, but not at all. Plenty of passing and get tup to speed power. Next was the snow. I have Michelin defender tires and wow - what have I been missing? The snow 4x4 duaratac features combined with these tires make this a beast in the snow, slush and rain. It definitely gives me a much more safety reassurance while driving in these conditions. I have not tried the towing yet and have not had any "reliable" issues to report, but we are very fortunate with our pick and one very capable snow commuter.

2020 Buick Enclave review
I bought my 2020 Enclave new and have been totally pleased. It rides better gets better mpg smoother more quiet and a much better ‘road car’ than the compatible Mercedes and BMW company cars I’ve driven. The tranny seems to be in the best gear more often without the annoying hard downshifts. The only option I wish Buick would offer is a third seat delete… I very seldom use the 3rd seats. It would be nice if they were removable like my Rendezvous seats which offered much more cargo space without them. The excellent road manners and smooth quiet ride shortens my 450 mile trip to my daughter’s house…. And I made it there without stopping for gas! 16.3 gal to go 451 miles… on a 310hp engine. I always liked my Chevy Caprices… but this Enclave is actually better and no problems just like the Caprices.

2024 Mazda CX-5 review
This is my first CX-5. I love it. Previously I drove a mazda tribute which was a 6 cylinder. I was reluctant to purchase a smaller vehicle with a smaller engine, but I’ve been pleased. My only negative comment is regarding the leg room in the back seat. It’s not great but workable for most average size adults.

2019 Mazda CX-3 review
Drives like it looks, sharp and smooth. (It’s faster than you’d expect) and I haven’t had any problems or issues with it mechanically. Bought it new in 2019. It’s been paid off for 2 years now and I Still own it…I Didn’t buy it to carpool, and thankfully I don’t have kids. My fiancé and I traded in our ‘07 Mx5 5spd and bought the 2019 Cx3 Gt AwD mostly to take on road trips and it’s been perfect for that. But it’s been used to do all sorts of things. It currently has 47k and it’s doing just fine. It’s the perfect sized car for a normal couple with normal hobbies. Don’t compare it to something it’s not like a 4Runner or a Cx5 and you won’t be disappointed or have anything negative to say about it. BTW it was recently voted “Car of the Decade” by Driven (NZ)

2018 Lexus GS 350 review
This car rocks. It plays two roles. If can be a Nice riding car in economy and in sport plus it handles well. I am on my second Gs F sport and sadly it’s dead on the vine from Lexus. To much emphasis on suvs in the world and the declining sales killed this car. But i put it up against any European car for its value and reliability
