  • The 2017 XC90 is a moneypit!

I purchased a 2017 XC90 about 3 and a half years ago. Like many others, we fell victim to the faulty turbocharger (at 65k miles!) which cost us $6k to repair). Less than 6 months later, our starter motor and battery had to be replaced (at 70k miles) costing another $2k. For what we have paid in maintenance, we easily could have purchased a new car. Lesson learned - back to a more reliable Toyota for us!

  • Great SUV, Not Great MPG

I loved my XC90 but traded it due to the cost of fuel. I drive 40 miles a day roundtrip to work. I would easily go through a tank of gas in four days. Best mileage I ever got was about 22 highway. The XC90 is a heavy SUV and shaped like a block. Not a lot of aerodynamics. As for comfort and luxury you can't go wrong the XC 90 is pure luxury and has great pickup and handling. Just be aware the mileage is not good.

  • Defective Super/Turbo Chargers

I purchased a 2017 Volvo XC90, even though I heard skepticism about the 4-cylinder engines ability to move a 6000 lbs. vehicle. If you're till on the fence, here's your answer. At around 100K miles, the super/turbo charger will fail.

  • A great looking car with great versatility

I've owned this car for just over three years and this past weekend I crossed the 40k mile mark and if I was to go back and but this car at 40K miles, it probably would look and drive just like how I'd feel if I was buying this car today. It looks and feels just as new, and I could not be happier. Its a great looking car, I've clicked a million pictures of it and thought its been three years, it looks great and fresh and I'm sure, it will age really well. The design still looks just as new and will continue to look trendy a few years down the lane as well. The engine seems a little under-powered at times because at the end of the day its a mere 2-litre V-4 engine, but otherwise, the performance is decent. Its an extremely comfortable family SUV and in 5 seat mode it has loads of cargo capability. All in all its a great vehicle.

  • Amazed how much I like this car

Volvo proves they know luxury. This is the most amazing technologically I have ever driven. The horsepower from the supercharged 4-cylinder blows me away. Easily manages the entire family. Plenty of room. Convenient features abound. The semi-autonomous driving with adaptive cruise is amazing. And the best touchscreen in any car I've ever been in by far.

  • Sporty, reliable, performance SUV!

Best SUV I have ever owned. By far most reliable and far more impressive than the three previous BMWs I owned. Volvo has quality built into the manufacturing process and they have hit a home run with the performance in the R-Design.

  • Handles like a car

I bought this vehicle for my wife and our business. Carries our supplies and our grandkids just fine. Would have liked the third row but none were in stock at our price. Wife and I took some time to adjust to all the features but were now sold on this SUV. Great gas mileage and quiet ride. Plenty of power and shifts very smooth.

  • Too Many problems on this vehicle

Terrible experience with this vehicle. Brake issues, A/C issues, Tire issues, you name it this vehicle has it. I wish I could say it was my vehicle only, but I know 2 other families that have the exact same model and year and yes same problems. All 3 of us both these brand new from the dealership.

  • Most uncomfortable car

Extremely disappointed in the XC90 2017 T6 i own. Every bump on the road feels like the roughest terrain. Just so uncomfortable, i cannot even tell you. My daughter ‘s old 2005 XC90 was way more comfortable riding. Also not understanding the ‘no hard top’ sunroof. I live in Texas 100 degrees heat. The heat radiates so hard my eyelids burns from that fancy but nonsense rooftop.

  • Love Volvo, but has AC, screen, shut off issues!

Beautifully designed 2017 XC 90, has quite a lot of issues with A/C, screen, and shutting off for the price. I am driving my car for a little over 2 years. Has 45k miles. • During the hot months, AC will make random super loud noise, but air will stop blowing. It is not happening all the time, and every time I come to the dealership, the issue “disappears” until next time. Volvo was unable to find the reason so far, which makes me nervous since my factory warranty experia at 50k. • The screen becomes extremely hot CONSTANTLY! It can reset itself several times , until I turn it off , while I am driving. • the car literally shuts off by itself, while I wait on red light! It wont start for about 5-10 minutes. It happened few times, and one time it shut off on rail road intersection! Thanks God there was no train at that time! These are Major issues that need to be addressed asap. I cannot use my car for long trips during the summer ( we have 5 children), and it is dangerous when it shutts off on the middle of the road!
