I went into Metro on 2/3/2015 to look at cars on advice from someone who had purchased a car from there not to long ago and they were very happy with there... experience. I arrived at the dealership at around 3:00 p.m. and explained that I have horrible credit but was assured that they would be able to find someone to finance me. I gave them all of the necessary information to start this process. At roughly 4:00 the salesman came out again and told me I had two options a Ford Escape or a Grand Am (might have been a Grand Prix). I immediately was interested in the Ford Escape, we took it for a test drive, basically around the block. I asked how much the car was and was never told, they skated around the pricing information. I literally sat there with my friend until 6:15 waiting for someone to tell me something. My sales person would come out periodically and tell me to be patient that the General Manager of the lot was working very hard to get me financed. It was at 6:15 when I had finally had enough and just walked into the General Managers office and asked him to let me know something, anything. He told me that he was still working on trying to get me approved, that if I wanted to I could leave and he would call me when approval was given, but also assured me I would here from him by closing time which was 8:00. REALLY???? He couldn't have sent me on my two hours before this when they knew how irritated I was sitting there waiting to find something out? My friend and I left and I received a phone call and was left a voice mail by the general manager at roughly 8:20 p.m. which was fine, I know they had other customers who were buying vehicles as well. He told me that the person he needed to speak with wouldn't be available until Wednesday (2/4/2015) but that I would hear from him one way or the other. At around 3:15 p.m. on 2/4/2015 The salesman who was trying to help me yesterday called my cell phone two times in a row because I didn't answer (I didn't know who it was and don't answer unknown numbers), left me a VM and then called my work number. He told me that they had gotten me approved for the car loan (mind you I still have no idea how much this car is) and asked me when I was going to come in to go over all the paperwork. I then proceeded to ask him what type of payment I was looking at and he told me he didn't know, that the finance guys didn't give him that information. I then explained to him that my husband had been car shopping all day as a back up plan in case I didn't get approved for this loan, he then proceeded to kinda whine and said I didn't even give them a chance. I told him that me coming in tonight wasn't out of the question I just wanted to know something before I came in and told him I would call him back and let him know. I thought about this for a little bit and decided that I was going to call back, my sales man answered the phone and I explained to him that I needed to know something about this loan, payments etc before I come back in there and waste my time and there time as well. He told me I would have to talk to the finance guy and I said ok, he put me on hold and when Gary (I believe that's correct) came on the line, I told him who I was and what I wanted to know and he told me that he couldn't give me that information over the phone, that I would have to come in and talk with him. (In my mind I am immediately thinking ummm no, I don't have to do anything). I said the salesman told me that you would give me this information. He then proceeded to get very rude, and short me, telling the sales guys don't know what they're talking about, I don't talk numbers over the phone, I said to him I just need to be able to make the best informed decision, he then very rudely told me that he would have to call me back when he got my information pulled back up on the screen. That was about 20 minutes ago now and I haven't received a call back yet. Doesn't matter they just lost a potential car sale and go

I HAD BEEN OTHER PLACES AND EVERYONE EITHER TURNED ME DOWN OR TOLD ME I NEEDED ALOT MORE MONEY DOWN. MY CO-WORKERS HAD GOT CARS FROM METRO AND ENCOURAGED... ME TO GO THERE. I'M SOOO GLAD I DID. IT WAS FAST AND EASY AND I DROVE HOME THAT SAME NIGHT IN A CAR THAT I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE I OWN. I GOT A GREAT CAR WITH A GREAT WARRANTY AND I'M REBUILDING MY CREDIT AS WELL. THANK YOU METRO AUTO CANTER FOR GIVING ME A CHANCE.
Never received a return phone call. After waiting two weeks for information about a vehicle, I have taken my business elsewhere.
First, it is obvious a representative of Metro Auto Center wrote the first review on this website. Being a real customer I was flat out lied too by salesman... Charlton Ousley. He told me that the vehicle, 2003 Nissan Maxima, had belonged to a friend of his and that it was a great running car and had nothing wrong with it mechanically. He made sure to keep reminding me how great of a deal I was getting and that he could not sell the car if it had major mechanical problems because by law they cannot sell a car that will cost more to repair than they can sell it for. The car broke down the second day I had it in the middle of a busy intersection with my 5 year old son in the car. Two men had to push me into a parking lot. I took the car to a mechanic who told me it needed a new engine. When I contacted Charlton at Metro he told me that I bought the car as is and that it was now my responsibility and he could not help me. I had no other choice but to contact a lawyer which will cost me more money. Sincerely, a real metro customer.
