    E250 (and other Ford models)

    This is a reliable work horse and the biggest seller of work vans. To Ford Guy, chicago - the Triton V8 is the same engine in a van or truck. Seems you don't know... Most of the Tritons are ok but there were those that would blow plugs. There just weren't many threads to hold them in - poor Ford design. I never had a plug come out. Had a van with a 4.6 and currently a p/u with a 5.4 Guess I am one of the lucky ones.

    Good work vehicle for cheap

    The Ford E-250 Cargo Van is a good work van for a cheap price. The 5.4L Triton engine in this model is not known to blow spark plugs out of the cylinder head like the Expeditions or F-150s' in the same year. Getting access to the engine for maintenance is a little hard to get to as the body is tall and the air-box design is not my preferred style because the 2 pieces of the airbox are a little hard to put together after changing the air filter. Also I do not like the spark plug design on this because the spark plug can break in half during removal and the helicoil thread design is not like any other thread design. The 4 speed transmission with overdrive is strong and reliable. I recommend this truck for a person looking for a truck for work. I own a Ford E-250 myself which has almost 200,000 miles on it and it still runs good.
