Honda’s Civic compact car is available in coupe or sedan body styles and offers a range of drivetrains, including hybrid and natural-gas versions. The base engine is a 1.8-liter four-cylinder that works with a five-speed manual or a continuously variable automatic transmission. Competitors include the Chevrolet Cruze, Ford Focus, Toyota Corolla and Hyundai Elantra.
New for 2015
A new Special Edition trim level for the sedan slots between the LX and EX trims. It includes a CVT, 15-inch aluminum wheels with black accents, Honda’s LaneWatch system, automatic climate control and a touch-screen stereo.
