Few cars demonstrate the bandwidth of their manufacturer better than the Honda Civic. Available as a hatchback and a sedan, the base model is comprehensively and unassumingly excellent, even at its base price of less than $26,000. In hybrid form, the Civic adds fuel economy of nearly 50 mpg to its laundry list of strengths. And then there are the enthusiast icons, the 200-hp Civic Si and 315-hp Civic Type R. The latter is unchanged for 2026, though its base price increases $1,000 from the 2025 model.
