What Car Shoppers Need to Know

  • For 2026, the EV6 sees a price drop with prices starting at $39,445 (all prices include $1,545 destination fee), over $6,500 less than the outgoing model.
  • Kia’s compact hatchback electric vehicle carries over for 2026 with minimal changes, such as a standard dual-voltage charging cable and changes in exterior paint color options.
  • The 2026 EV6 again has an EPA-estimated range of 231-319 miles, equipment depending.

Despite a rocky year for EVs, Kia is all in; it’s debuting a new model (the EV3) and lowering the price of its EV6 compact hatchback for 2026. The EV6 starts at $39,445 for the base Light SR rear-wheel-drive trim — a big price drop over model-year 2025’s $44,445 base starting price. Related: 2025 Kia EV6: Longer Body, Bigger Batteries

What’s New for 2026?

The 2026 model mostly carries over after a refresh for 2025 that included  new front and rear styling, bigger standard and available battery packs, a revised interior and additional tech features. A few minor updates for 2026 include the addition of a standard dual-voltage charging cable,  a DC fast charger adapter standard in zero-emissions states, and some changes to the EV6’s interior and exterior color offerings. Gone for 2026 is Ivory Silver (exterior) and Hunter Green/Misty Gray (two-tone interior color). New this year is Wolf Gray (exterior) with Saturn Black/Mild Toffee Brown (two-tone interior color) and Glacier White Pearl (exterior) with Saturn Black/Mild Toffee Brown (two-tone interior color).  Two new colors available later in the year for the GT-Line will include Glacier White Pearl two-tone with black roof (exterior) and Wolf Gray two-tone with black roof (exterior)

Power and Range

The 2026 EV6 again uses a 167- or 225-horsepower rear electric motor or 320- or 641-hp dual electric motors and a 63- or 84-kilowatt-hour battery and is available in rear- or all-wheel drive. The 2026 Kia EV6 again has an EPA-estimated range of 231-319 miles depending on equipment.

Standard and Available Features

The 2026 Kia EV6’s standard features carry over. They include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster,  wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Wi-Fi hot spot, wireless charging, five USB ports, remote start, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control and Kia Connect app integration. Available features include a heated steering wheel, heated second-row seats, a Meridian premium audio system, vehicle-to-load charging, a blind spot camera, navigation-based cruise control and a 360-degree camera system.
