2024 Rivian R1S review
I originally ordered an R1S in Jan 2021 and waited nearly 3.5 years for it to be ready. When they first opened up test drives I nearly canceled my order due to the ride quality of the early builds. However, once it became time to take delivery, the software improvements drastically changed the character of this truck. It honestly sealed the deal given how much better it was, and there was yet another release to address ride quality after delivery which turned this into an extremely comfortable vehicle—on par with the X7, Q7, etc… The air suspension is truly a boon to the capabilities and ride quality as well. Ride quality aside, the performance is unbelievable both in terms of handling and acceleration, especially given the size and weight. On top of that, the ability to go from sport mode and a 3s 0-60 to off road mode with nearly 15” of ground clearance really puts this vehicle in a league of its own. The interior quality is very good, especially compared to Tesla, but not quite luxury-level, though all the details still make it feel special. There are a few rattles here and there, but nothing too out of the ordinary, and all the materials feel nice. Additionally, the range is dead on, and I usually get 2-3 mi/kwh, which is great for a 7000lb suv. In terms of the footprint, the vehicle is both agile and easy to maneuver, yet has tons of interior space and storage. The glass roof really adds to the openness as well, and the heat in the cabin from it hasn’t been bad comparatively. The one gripe I do have is that the suspension is very noisy, and there’s not any remedy for that. Gen 2 is far quieter, but all in all it’s not a deal breaker given how capable and versatile the vehicle is. All the pieces of this vehicle combined really make for such a special package, especially given that they’re still in the early years and not ubiquitous (yet). This is my 9th car and I’ve had many BMWs, a Tesla, and a M-B, yet this one always makes me smile every time I see it and get to drive it. It truly feels like a remarkable machine (and is incredibly fun too).

2022 Acura TLX review
Just picked up a Pre-owned 2022 with 15k miles. I owned three previous Toyota Vehicles,two Camry's and one Lexus. Unfortunately I've been one of the unlucky owners. Had quite a few weird issues with all three. I still wanted Japanese but luxury. I'm not a fan of SUV's. The Infiniti Q50 Styling hasn't changed really over in a decade. The Q60 although sharp was just too small. Then i decided to go for Acura TLX. I Wasn't interested in a A-pec too much going on. So I ended up getting a Technology Package which is perfect for me. I live in the Midwest, but have taken two road trips back to the Eastcoast. The TLX is quick and responsive. I've gotten compliments, and love the sleek design. She does use Premium Gas, but because she is a Turbo 4cyl it doesn't take alot to fill up. Honestly if something happened to my TLX like a accident etc, I'd get another one.

2025 Lexus GX 550 review
Nicely designed, very comfortable, Luxury plus model has fantastic features. Some plastic interiors could be improved. Solid in nature, great visibility from inside, panoramic roof is very nice. The fact that Lexus has really designed it to fit inside a standard US garage is great!. Love the coolbox. Also the rear glass door opening is a big hit. '3rd row going under ground' without sacrificing space for spare tire is excellent. More inside storage space world be a plus

2024 Chevrolet Corvette review
I replaced my 2019 Grand Sport with this 2024 Stingray, and while I really liked the GS I like my Stingray even more. The most succinct summary I can present of the two cars is the C7 is a muscle car and the C8 is a sports car, and I prefer the latter.

2016 Volkswagen Golf R review
I have owned this 2016 Golf R manual since December, 2015. My previous car was a 2008 Mazdaspeed 3, a great hot hatch in it's own right. Right away I knew I had to tune the Golf R to make it feel faster than the Speed 3. APR Stage 1 accomplished that in spades. Not satisfied, I went Stage 2 which made the car absolutely bonkers (I did have to upgrade the clutch to a Southbend Stage 3 racing clutch). I have had three years on the Stage 2 and have had zero problems with it. Unrelated issues have included rear differential oil leak, window switch modulation, and misfiring due to bad plugs and coils. All except the latter were fixed under warranty. There is also a problem with the backlighting of the speedo/tach/fuel/coolant temp gauge that hasn't been fixed but other displays are fine. The car at just under 54K miles remains a blast to drive and very easy to live with.

2025 Lexus GX 550 review
Purchased 2025 Lexus GX 550 Premium Plus. Amazing feeling when you drive it, and looks vey cool inside and out. I drive it every day to work, weekends in town and for longer trips like family road trips including mountains and rural areas. I wish the gas tank was bigger, I think it’s is few gallons smaller than in our 2020 Lexus GX 460. We didn’t trade 2020 Lexus GX 460 to get 2025 Lexus GX 550. Will keep both for many years to come. Great job Lexus!

2018 Lexus LS 500 review
Excellent quality materials and build for the price makes this car an excellent value. Excellent reliability. Does not have the flash of competitors. Interior feels somewhat cramped for the car's size. Infotainment system is clunky, but interaction is not often required for things like seat heat which can operate automatically based upon climate control settings.

2023 Lexus GX 460 review
I traded my 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE450 4Matic for a brand new 2023 Lexus GX460 and could not be happier! I love how solid and substantial the GX feels and even thought it is not at quick as the MB with its turbo inline 6, I love how the V8 engine in my GX sounds and performs with its perfectly matched power train. The truck looks nice, rides nice and it a great place to spend time. I’m looking forward to many years of enjoyment since these vehicles are known for their legendary reliability.

2025 Mitsubishi Outlander review
I purchased 2 new Mitsubishi Outlanders after doing Internet research on currently available mid-sized SUVs. A test drive nailed the choice. The 2025 model introduced several changes that have addressed prior criticisms about vague steering and hood vibrations and ride. The fit and finish of both exterior and interior is excellent, typical of a Japanese car and as good or better than the Toyota RAV4 or Nissan Rogue that were being considered (the Outlander and the Rogue share the same platform, but IMHO the Outlander is the better rendition). The interior of the SE trim is very plush at this price point with leatherette and suede seating that is supportive and "hugs" you and looks and feels better than more expensive luxury SUVs in this size class such as the Lincoln Corsair and Aviator. The standard Yamaha audio system produces astonishingly good sound with either Bluetooth audio or Sirius XM. The Outlander supports Android Auto, and its navigation is excellent. Steering feel is excellent and well-weighted, and braking is strong. The Outlander has a surprisingly small turning circle. The electronics assists and displays work flawlessly, especially the adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping and both front and rear parking assistance via the good-sized infotainment display screen, which also provides an overhead overall view (AI?). While the Outlander does have standard third-row seating, the seats and leg room are miniscule (suitable only for very small children or pets) and hard to access, but I plan to never use them for seating and keep them folded down to maximize cargo carrying space, which is even more generous with the second-row seatbacks folded down. Exterior styling is very bold and contemporary and distinctive, especially the front styling and the wheels; it has grown on me. The 2025 Outlander thankfully does not have that horrible stop-start feature where the engine shuts off if stopped at a traffic light, and in hot and humid Florida, the AC is not interrupted like on other new cars. The transmission shift lever is not intuitive to use, but eventually you get used to it (IMHO a simple rotary knob would be easier to use). The Outlander has a very generous power train warranty and comes with the initial three oil change services included. The horsepower is modest but more than adequate for city and suburban driving, and the CVT seems well mated to the engine and drives very smoothly. If Mitsubishi added a turbocharged version, that would certainly boost the acceleration.

Interior & Comfort – A Luxurious Haven Stepping inside, I was greeted by an exquisitely designed, driver-focused cabin. The materials, fit, and finish exude true luxury, and the beautifully isolated interior creates an oasis of comfort. The seating is exceptionally adjustable, allowing me to fine-tune my position for maximum support, making long commutes an absolute pleasure. Driving Dynamics – Performance Meets Refinement Having previously owned a BMW M850, I had concerns about switching brands, fearing that nothing would come close to the driving experience I was used to. However, Lucid exceeded my expectations. The three driving modes provide the perfect balance between efficiency, comfort, and exhilaration. The 819 horsepower is nothing short of breathtaking, delivering instantaneous acceleration that never fails to put a smile on my face. The handling is precise and confidence-inspiring, with steering sensitivity adjusting seamlessly based on the driving mode. Whether taking tight corners or cruising at high speeds, the car goes exactly where I want it to. Ride Comfort – Designed for Long Journeys Beyond its thrilling performance, the ride comfort is exceptional. The adaptive cruise control, whisper-quiet cabin, and premium sound system elevate every drive. Even with my daily long commute, I step out of the car feeling refreshed. Technology & Infotainment – Intuitive and Smart For the first time, I find myself actually using the native GPS system, which is so good that I no longer need Google Maps. Apple CarPlay works seamlessly, and the integrated streaming services ensure I always have access to the perfect soundtrack for any journey. The infotainment system is intuitive, and having access to two screens makes everything feel effortless. Build Quality & Attention to Detail – Excellence in Every Inch Every aspect of this car screams quality. The materials, finishes, and overall craftsmanship are top-tier, with ambient lighting adding a touch of sophistication. Every time I step inside, I admire the meticulous attention to detail that went into designing this car. Range & Charging – Living Up to Expectations The real-world range has been close to the advertised numbers, which is impressive given my driving habits. Charging speeds vary depending on the station and how I’ve been driving, but overall, I am very pleased with the efficiency and ease of recharging. Standout Features – More Than Just a Car The generous legroom in both front and rear, the stunning exterior design, and the ample trunk and frunk space make this car as practical as it is beautiful. Opting for the 21-inch wheels was the right decision—they enhance handling, road feel, and overall driving dynamics while also elevating the car’s appearance. Areas for Improvement – A Work in Progress Some people mention ease of entry and exit, but I personally have had no issues. The AI Voice Assistant could integrate better, but I know Lucid is actively improving it and will push updates over the air, so I have no concerns there. Final Verdict – A Game-Changer After owning Mercedes and multiple BMW models (M550, M850, 330, i4), I can confidently say that switching to Lucid was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. This car has completely redefined my expectations, and I am fully committed to the Lucid brand for as long as I can be. 2021 Mercedes-Benz AMG E 53 review
I'm currently the owner of the 2021 E53 and it's my second MB. I chose this specific car because I enjoy the E-class size, functionality, and finishes. My other MB is a diesel E350 so jumping into this AMG was a big change but I don't regret it. Fast, nimble, head turner, high end customization and finishes are noteworthy. Expect a somewhat rougher ride than non-AMG but that is to be expected with the sport tuned suspension and run flat tires. The matte finish hides dirt and easily and is maintainable. I choose to hand wash the car. Expect this car to last and perform with regular scheduled maintenance. I use a trusted import mechanic for most of the maintenance and the dealer for very specific issues such as a fast blinking turn light problem I had. The transmission shifts can be rough if in sport mode, coming to a complete stop and then taking off. It seems like the trans needs a minute to get back to 1st gear. Other than that, the car is a rocket. I haven't used the track mode yet or unlocked drift mode but I will soon. I can recommend this car, knowing the quality of MB is top notch. All cars will have issues and MB isn't immune to this but you're paying for the performance, fit, and SAFETY. These cars are built like tanks with over engineering in mind. I appreciate that detail and that is why I continue to be a MB loyalist.

2024 Lexus GX 550 review
The car is great. It is extremely roomy, but it handles very well. My only negative is that it has a small gas tank and gets so few miles to the gallon so you feel like you are filling it up all the time if you drive a lot like I do. Otherwise it is an amazing car Lexus out did themselves with this one!

2023 Acura TLX review
TLX platform is absolutely excellent. The car has fantastic road feel thanks to double wishbone suspension and redesigned chassis. The DCT transmission feels precision and having 10 gears puts you in the perfect torque range almost always. The engine is a Honda K engine that can handle 1k hp. I have fwd which is absolutely perfect, simple car. The SH-AWD system is truly best of its kind. The fact that this almost perfect platform was discontinued is a sad commentary on the state of cars.
