2024 Rivian R1S review
I originally ordered an R1S in Jan 2021 and waited nearly 3.5 years for it to be ready. When they first opened up test drives I nearly canceled my order due to the ride quality of the early builds. However, once it became time to take delivery, the software improvements drastically changed the character of this truck. It honestly sealed the deal given how much better it was, and there was yet another release to address ride quality after delivery which turned this into an extremely comfortable vehicle—on par with the X7, Q7, etc… The air suspension is truly a boon to the capabilities and ride quality as well. Ride quality aside, the performance is unbelievable both in terms of handling and acceleration, especially given the size and weight. On top of that, the ability to go from sport mode and a 3s 0-60 to off road mode with nearly 15” of ground clearance really puts this vehicle in a league of its own. The interior quality is very good, especially compared to Tesla, but not quite luxury-level, though all the details still make it feel special. There are a few rattles here and there, but nothing too out of the ordinary, and all the materials feel nice. Additionally, the range is dead on, and I usually get 2-3 mi/kwh, which is great for a 7000lb suv. In terms of the footprint, the vehicle is both agile and easy to maneuver, yet has tons of interior space and storage. The glass roof really adds to the openness as well, and the heat in the cabin from it hasn’t been bad comparatively. The one gripe I do have is that the suspension is very noisy, and there’s not any remedy for that. Gen 2 is far quieter, but all in all it’s not a deal breaker given how capable and versatile the vehicle is. All the pieces of this vehicle combined really make for such a special package, especially given that they’re still in the early years and not ubiquitous (yet). This is my 9th car and I’ve had many BMWs, a Tesla, and a M-B, yet this one always makes me smile every time I see it and get to drive it. It truly feels like a remarkable machine (and is incredibly fun too).

We narrowed our car search down to a couple Subaru models, and then used a local, unsanctioned Subaru website to research all the tradeoffs and options. When it came time to snag a specific car, we got quite a range of quotes from Western Washington dealers. Joe Spitz, at Carter Subaru Shoreline, offered a discounted price that was far less than the next lowest quote for the same car. His proposal wasn?t even in the same league as the much higher fixed prices used at some Subaru stores. So we got the exact vehicle package we were seeking, for a model that is in very high demand, and paid a deeply discounted price that made a joke of the ?true? car values listed by the various car buying websites. I have pretty high expectations when I?m about to be parting with a lot of money. Our sales consultant, Joe Spitz, impressed me as the kind of guy who eats, sleeps, and loves the Subaru brand. Joe not only exceeded all my expectations, but he also significantly lessened the amount of money I had to part with :)! 2015 Ford Mustang review
I have a premium Yellow 2015 GT convertible. Black interior (not charcoal gray) with a Black top. This car has the 6-speed automatic and therefore, it does not constantly shift up/down like the newer (lousy) 9-10 speeds. Mine includes the Ford Performance PowerPac 2 with RTR axle backs. With only 19,000 actual miles, this car looks, sounds and performs excellent. Would not sell it for any Corvette (have had 3 of them) nor any other Convertible with a 9-10 speed auto. 2008 Porsche 911 review
Owned a corvette, a viper, the 911 and the boxster. I’d say the boxster s was a bit more fun to drive, and like both porsches equally for different reasons. Test drove BMWs on multiple occasions, never liked any of them. Test drove a couple of ferraris, a bit too small and expensive. Same for the NSX. Bought it 2 years old and got a great price. The targa 4s that I currently have, has some nice 911 features, including the large retractable roof, and the pop up rear window, for easy access to the back seat.

2012 Lexus RX 350 review
We bought this car in Jan2014 with under 39K miles. Now has 183K. Our second Lexus (our new 2007 ES350 had 238K when we sold it). Best car for the money. Local shop keeps it in top kit. My dog and I do 50-100 miles daily in the mountains. Wouldn’t change a thing on it. 18mpg all short trips. Great cargo room (Bogey dog agrees). Safe, comfortable, well-designed and put together. If it’s out there, I’d buy another one like it in a heart beat. Mo’ better than my 00 Boxster!

Anyways after taking a financial planning course I decided not to renew my lease and purchase my 2009 Range Rover Sport HSE with 111k/mls cash for $9,500. I was VERY impressed when the guy (that I found on OfferUp) rolled up...I was smiling from ear to ear! I love it and I've gotten a hand full of compliments since (I mean a lot less than the newer Jeep) but I think that is about to change. Around my 1-year mark I decided to fully commit to the vehicle. And as a man who struggles with commitments, that is saying a lot. To prove it, I decided to have her repainted to my 'dream' car color! Anyways, some of the things that influenced this decision was... Mine has that Logic sound system, which is extremely impressive....I'm probably still going to upgrade the audio anyways. Oh but it only has blue tooth for the phone, not music, so I ended up getting a bluetooth adapter wire ran that has to connect to the rear Aux Port ($150). As for flaws, the first and obvious if you are researching this vehicle's issues, is the fact that the Air Suspension sucks...I'd imagine it's like driving an 18-wheeler in Sports Mode. Mine has been stuck in 'normal-drive-only-mode' since I bought it...but if I manage to ignore the light and occasional beep, I'll survive. The non-dealership mechanic said the airbags needed to be replaced (>$1k) but from what I understand, most people just replace the whole system with springs at some point anyways. The Tire Sensor light is also always on (even after I've had the sensors for the individual tires checked...spare is still questionable if there is one in there or not) so I ignore that light as well. Anyways it's 2347 and Murder She Wrote has been off for hours....time for bed! Positives - Classic Range Rover look - I fit in it (I'm tall...6'4) - Plenty of space in back for the dogs - Sunroof - Sound System - Plenty of YouTube Repair Videos - Misc. Options/Buttons galore! Negatives - Suspension - Thermostat ($40 replaced myself) - Starter ($800) - Battery ($180) - Paint Job ($1000 MAACO "Special" - there was a lot of CA sun damage....plus I wanted to change the color!)

2023 Audi SQ5 review
I regretted trading in my 2023 SQ5, but got a good deal on the trade value. I wanted a larger car and in reality the size of this car is fine unless you have to carry around a lot of people or cargo. Eventually, I just got a Q8, which seems like a marvelous car, too. I am an Audi guy and I hate to hear other reviewers trash the car or at least the software. I sure hope I do not suffer those problems with the 2025 Q8 Prestige I got.

I've bought a used 2011 ranger in 2019. Its never failed to start and get me to where I needed to go. Only getting rid of it as my needs have changed. One negative is the regular cab space can be tight if you going on a longer trip.

2022 Jeep Wrangler review
Visibility and size are what I need. 4WD, clearance for snow. Rather tight interior, not suitable for more than two. Auto Park is very confusing. Not auto parallel Park. Car will stop while backing out of parking space, won't move if a somewhat complex procedure is not followed.

2020 Audi Q5 review

2021 Subaru Outback review
So I bought a ‘21 Outback premium with 30k miles and have already put 6K more on it. Here is my honest review: if you want a fast car don’t get the 2.5 non turbo- that being said it is adequate for myself and get great gas mileage. The interior is good- I have the spec with cloth heated seats and they are comfortable and the cabin feels nice- has some cheap parts but I knew what I was buying. The infotainment is frustrating at times- auto start stop is a pain in the butt- but the infotainment itself isn’t bad with good sound and good responsiveness. The apple CarPlay will lag and be finicky at times but nothing terrible. As for drive quality it is a smooth ride and I don’t have any real complaints yet. Like I had mentioned if you want a car that is going to be fast- this engine and transmission will not do that for you. Overall I am happy so far with my purchase and feel as though I made a sensible decision when choosing this over some of its competition (I was looking at the VW Tiguan and and Mazda cx5)

2007 Toyota Highlander Hybrid review
Bought my 07 Highlander brand new. 13 years ago. 2wd. Been extremely reliable. 70k miles. I didn't give miner 5 stars only because compared to 2021 vehicles it is dated. On hi way I get 25 -26 mpg. Local driving I've gotten 30 mpg a few times. I change oil every 4k. Trans fluid every 50k. Only repairs. Battery at 5 years. 2 sets tires. Original everything else. I have base model. Cons - window switches. And garage door switches not lit. Can't see at nite. After 13 years I'm getting a littles bored with it. Would like something bigger. I'm 5'10". 220lbs.

2003 Ford F-250 review
The F250/F350 with the 7.3 Diesel by (International T444E) is easy to repair and has simple mechanics behind how it functions. It is a truck that pulls well, if the transmission is upgraded and will last a long time. No emission problems or DEF issues. There are a variety of after market parts to complete repairs and maintenance, unlike new trucks that stop having parts made after 3-5 years. The truck has been around long enough and forums address almost all issues. Transmissions/torque converters are the weak point ($5-8k) and always keep a Cam Position Sensor ($20) in the glove box with a 10mm wrench. Another common maintenance item is the injector control module. I recommend adding a fuel rail cross over to prevent air getting trapped in fuel system and drilling out the oil drains on the top of the heads to allow better draining back to crank case.

2023 BMW iX review
Only 2000 miles of which 500 is highway. First positive impressions are: extraordinary quiet, impressive acceleration, above average ride and comfort. Great front and side vision. Very comfortable seats. Lots of interior room. Negatives are: incredibly complex systems to do simple things, exterior styling is an "acquired taste", rear vision is marginal. Odd door handles inside and outside. It is still too early to make a definitive assessment of this vehicle. Other than an intermittent annoying creak in the passenger window area that is hard to replicate at the dealership, the build quality seems very good. This is not a big Lexus or Mercedes sedan, but rather a very good SAV. Range is 300+ with the 21" wheels. Charging is easy and relatively fast with a good DC charger. True 11KwH on 48 amp home charger. Driver assistance package works well. Steering is a little light but no issues with the shape of the wheel. There will be some adjustment to this type of vehicle, but it has been easier than I anticipated. Registering it as an EV, leased out of state, was a frustrating experience and the extra fees for EV licensing are ridiculous.

2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 review
Comfort in a truck that gets excellent gas mileage and has plenty of power for the average driver. Handles well and has many features! Would recommend for anyone who likes a good full size truck and 4x4 with tow package.

i am a new buyer so i went there first because i heard very good things about carmax...they are excellent in the cars they sale...no dealing with the annoying cars sales men...there you go with an idea of a car and get it...well hopefully because they dont have a big inventory so before you go check the website...they littelly have all the cars they have so you dont waste time looking for one...bad thing :( when you have a car you want... dont hisatate...because before u know it its gone... i have lost about 5 cars for histateting...well i was looking at the car value in kelly blue book and when i was ready to buy it (with in one day) it was gone!!! so DONT HISATATE!!!
2020 Toyota Corolla Hybrid review
The lease price was better for the Corolla Hybrid than leasing another Prius. The Corolla is less roomy, but it gets better mileage (61 mpg vs 52), and I enjoy it.
