On October 16, 2018, I had the pleasure of purchasing a car from Foster Chevrolet Cadillac. I traveled over 500 miles to make the purchase after viewing the car online and after speaking to my eventual sales person, Bart Pietro. I must admit that I was a little reluctant because the chance of the car not meeting my expectation was looming in the back of my mind as I had been searching for the Cadillac XLR with low mileage and in excellent condition for several months. The airport into which I flew was a distance from the dealership, so trying to find transportation on my own was hectic. By chance, I called the dealership the day before my arrival to ask if there was a chance that I could be picked up and was quite happy and relieved when Bart said "absolutely". Upon meeting Bart on my arrival, I felt an immediate connection and felt more assured that I had made the right choice. The first thing he did was go out of his way to find me a Starbucks as I had informed him that I am a coffee fanatic and had not had that first cup of coffee. By the time we arrived at the dealership, it felt as if I was talking to an old friend. I loved the car as soon as I saw it. It was absolutely beautiful and in immaculate condition inside and out. After the test drive, we started the paperwork immediately as I intended to start the drive back home that evening. Everything went smoothly until I needed insurance documentation. I had contacted an insurance company, and paid a hefty deposit only to have them tell me the policy could not go in effect until the next day. Bart tried everything to get them to enact the policy that day, but they would not budge. He then began calling agents on my behalf with other companies. Fortunately, I contacted Progressive after having wasted time with the other company, and they enacted the policy immediately after I paid my deposit which was $250.00 less than the other. I was very appreciative that Bart was willing to assist in the manner in which he did.
I found Bart and the other employees of the company to be very professional and knowledgeable and willing to go above and beyond for their customers. I even joked with Bart that I can't remember a time that I had so much fun spending that much money.
Sometimes when dealing with businesses or representatives of the business, you leave feeling that they felt they were doing you a favor by allowing you to spend your money for their services. My experience with Foster and Bart specifically was outstanding and quite the opposite. Knowing that I was on the road traveling alone, Bart contacted me later that evening to make sure that I had made it to my layover destination in Pittsburgh safely. It means so much knowing that you are more than a sale.
Though I am hundreds of miles from Foster, I am impressed by the services they offer to their customers even after the sale has been completed. I love great customer service and wish that more companies would treat their customers with the appreciation, respect, and dignity they deserve.
