2019 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 review
I bought this truck to pull my 9000 lb travel trailer, which was wearing out a half-ton pickup. The 3500 pulls it very well. Towing mirrors and brake controller are excellent. Where legal I towed with cruise control at 70 mph on I-80 from Cheyenne, WY to the Mississippi River. The truck did not slow or downshift for a hill the entire way. It got 12-15 mpg. There was absolutely no trailer sway, even without an anti-sway hitch. When not towing, the truck averages 23 mpg at 75 mph, with a range of about 600 miles/tankful. You can hear the diesel engine around town but not on the highway. The ride is heavy-duty, as expected, but very comfortable on the highway. The seats are great. The recommended tire pressure is for maximum load. I run 45 psi unloaded without setting off the tire pressure monitor. The truck rides and handles better that way. Anything I don't like? The headlights come on and the radio/GPS switches to night-time display mode in broad daylight depending on sun angle. I can't see the display while wearing dark glasses when it does that. You can't override this behavior. As for reliability I can't say much because I've only driven the truck 20,000 miles. So far, no issues. A major reason I went with GM was the fuel pump. It's worth researching diesel fuel pump lawsuits online.

2024 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 review
Within first 500 miles I had check engine lights come on and truck went into limp mode. This is all while traveling for work! It’s not the dealership here its manufacture. Pay this much for dependable truck and it breaks down before your first oil change! Apparently it’s turbo issues and power steering gears so Chevrolet needs to do better on quality control before sending 100k trucks to the market!!!

I traded my 2011 ford f-350 king ranch in for a 2011 chevy 3500 HD,has way more power,hauled like a dream truck with 18K tailer.Still didnt haul like my 2011 Ram 3500 H.O Cummins,but did shift way better.Wish my dodge had it's trany in it then that would be amazing truck.Still use my 2011 Ram for the heavy loads,like my 18,500lbs back hoe and goose neck hitch,but the chevy shifts better,but still aint with my new cummins So my Ram blew the chevy out of the water but my ford was worth the trade for this truck love it! This truck is great for a fifth wheel or a large boat. I tow a 28 foot cabin cruiser to the lake, and a 40 foot camper for travel. I?ve had this truck since I bought it in 1995 and used it for towing ever since. It?s a great truck and I would seriously recommend it to anyone looking for a reasonably priced dually for towing. The interior is comfortable and easy to spent hours in. The only problem I?ve had is on the 6.5l turbo diesel, the fuel pump stops working, but if you put in a more modern one,It?s perfect.

2019 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 review
This truck was a necessary purchase. As a top end high countey dually, it is highly comfortable. I have not had the chance to move my 15,000 lb fifth wheel yet, so I can't comment on the handling with the trailer. It has been superb with daily driving, with gas mileage as expected from a 1 ton diesel. Received a great purchase price off the lot and staff assistance from Casey Chevrolet.

great vehicle my second one bought it for pulling fifth wheel trailer it pulls a 36 ft trailer like it was not there plus I get 17 Mpg in town

2021 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 review
I ordered this truck with specific options to carry a truck camper. The camper has not yet arrived so I can’t speak to the truck’s capability in that regard. I’ve only driven the truck 300 miles, but so far so good. The ride is firm, but not harsh. The Duramax engine is relatively quiet, has enormous power, and great acceleration. The dual rear wheels grip the curvy mountain roads in my region. I anticipate many reliable years and miles with this truck.
