2023 Audi Q4 e-tron review
I recently leased a 2024 Quattro premium plus 55. I have not had the severe issues others mention in reviews, but agree that the electronics and software are sometimes frustrating. It drives nicely for an SUV (I prefer driving small cars). I don’t like the behavior of the brakes. You have to really step on them for the final 5 mph to complete stop — they are not linear. I know VW knows how to do brakes in an EV, because the e-Golf is fantastic. Also annoying are the steering wheel buttons — again, big downgrade from the e-Golf. Overall, happy with the great lease deal I got.

2026 Toyota bZ review
Toyota decided to get serious with their electric compact suv over their earlier version. Lowered the price making it competitive with all others in this class. Also making it now competitive is the increase in driving range, the XLE AWD model gets a significant boost with a 288 mile range. In addition the horsepower on the XLE AWD increased to 338 providing 0-60 in the middle 4 second range… that’s head snapping power. Also, major improvements were addressed to the charging system… now able to charge significantly faster and it comes using the NACS (North American Charging Standard) outlet connection for faster charging ( (originally called the Tesla charging connection). I personally enjoy driving the bZ around town but also on major roads. It runs quietly as an electric should but also isolates road noise. The instrument panel is different but coming from driving my plug in hybrid Prius Prime I’m used to different. I trust Toyota overall quality over all other manufacturers whether the vehicle is a traditional combustible gas engine or now electric.

2023 Volkswagen ID.4 review
Despite the scary looking recalls my 2023 AWD Pro-s model has been 99.9% reliable. In comparison to my previous 2021 ID.4 pro-s which had several annoying system failures that necessitated immediate trips to the dealership. However the 2021 pro-s has the folding mirror option which I had expected to get in the 2023 pro-s but was very dissatisfied to learn it had been remover and put in the ‘+’ package. The mirror option should be offered as a standalone upgrade to all non ‘+’ 2023 and 2024 models as no $50k plus car should be without it.

The beautiful and classy aerodynamic design immediately caught my attention, with its striking light signature and unique styling setting it apart from anything else on the road. Interior & Comfort – A Luxurious Haven Stepping inside, I was greeted by an exquisitely designed, driver-focused cabin. The materials, fit, and finish exude true luxury, and the beautifully isolated interior creates an oasis of comfort. The seating is exceptionally adjustable, allowing me to fine-tune my position for maximum support, making long commutes an absolute pleasure. Driving Dynamics – Performance Meets Refinement Having previously owned a BMW M850, I had concerns about switching brands, fearing that nothing would come close to the driving experience I was used to. However, Lucid exceeded my expectations. The three driving modes provide the perfect balance between efficiency, comfort, and exhilaration. The 819 horsepower is nothing short of breathtaking, delivering instantaneous acceleration that never fails to put a smile on my face. The handling is precise and confidence-inspiring, with steering sensitivity adjusting seamlessly based on the driving mode. Whether taking tight corners or cruising at high speeds, the car goes exactly where I want it to. Ride Comfort – Designed for Long Journeys Beyond its thrilling performance, the ride comfort is exceptional. The adaptive cruise control, whisper-quiet cabin, and premium sound system elevate every drive. Even with my daily long commute, I step out of the car feeling refreshed. Technology & Infotainment – Intuitive and Smart For the first time, I find myself actually using the native GPS system, which is so good that I no longer need Google Maps. Apple CarPlay works seamlessly, and the integrated streaming services ensure I always have access to the perfect soundtrack for any journey. The infotainment system is intuitive, and having access to two screens makes everything feel effortless. Build Quality & Attention to Detail – Excellence in Every Inch Every aspect of this car screams quality. The materials, finishes, and overall craftsmanship are top-tier, with ambient lighting adding a touch of sophistication. Every time I step inside, I admire the meticulous attention to detail that went into designing this car. Range & Charging – Living Up to Expectations The real-world range has been close to the advertised numbers, which is impressive given my driving habits. Charging speeds vary depending on the station and how I’ve been driving, but overall, I am very pleased with the efficiency and ease of recharging. Standout Features – More Than Just a Car The generous legroom in both front and rear, the stunning exterior design, and the ample trunk and frunk space make this car as practical as it is beautiful. Opting for the 21-inch wheels was the right decision—they enhance handling, road feel, and overall driving dynamics while also elevating the car’s appearance. Areas for Improvement – A Work in Progress Some people mention ease of entry and exit, but I personally have had no issues. The AI Voice Assistant could integrate better, but I know Lucid is actively improving it and will push updates over the air, so I have no concerns there. 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV review
This is more of an initial review. To preface, our other car is a Polestar 2 and we really have enjoyed it for what it is. Though we've only owned our Blazer for about a week, we are certain about some differences. This car was $4,100 cheaper on the price tag for identical trim level. It looks far nicer and more expensive inside, there is a little more tech and it's easier to use. Both app AND the key will perform remote start. It is NOT a clone of a gas twin. The front doors are large so my partner, who is 6'3 and 270 doesn't hit the b-pillar or hit his head on the car getting in and out. He can sit behind himself in the backseat. Clearly there are two different characters in these cars. The Polestar is sporty and the ride feels like it. Rather harsh, feel every singe bump, but DIVINE on back roads. The suspension needs tuning for better compromise and isolation. Bumps are loud and disturbing and resonate through the body as if there are no bushings at all. This Blazer feels like a luxury car. It's not sporty, but it's composed. It soaks up bumps. There is zero resonance through the body. It has active noise cancellation inside the car to make it even quieter and it is extremely quiet inside. The Polestar launches off the line from a stop light with alacrity, while the Blazer is a lot less aggressive, yet they have the same 0-60 time. The way the cars are set up in programming is so different (and they really aren't competitors), but it also shows that Chevy has been around a LOT longer and has been working on their HEV/BEV game longer. The delivery and feel of the product as a whole is WAY different. GM has been doing their homework and knows their market. This is my first GM product and it's really, REALLY good. The radio has been acting a little weird, turning off on it's own, and the day after we brought it home, there was a rattle in the dash which has since gone away on it's own. Both little concerns, easily corrected. Despite that, when the Polestar lease is up, guess what my first stop will be.

2024 Honda Prologue review
We bought this car on December 30th of 2025, with 41 miles on it. It was being sold as used because Honda had sold/leased it to themselves to collect the $7,500. By the time we bought it, it was down to $26,500, an incredible $30,000 discount. I'm saying this because it also is the basis for how happy I am with the car after $4,300 miles. We have had one trip to the dealer to replace a blower fan and will soon take it in for some big software updates. We have not experienced some of the issues (yet) that other people report, but we have a Honda warranty that takes us almost 8 years and 100,000. From my time on the Prologue forums, there are good dealers and bad dealers, just like any other car. Being that the Prologue is almost an orphan car (discontinued and not to be replaced), I think that it's important to find a good dealer who will stand behind the product. Now for the car: We are very happy overall with the range, the ride and the acceleration. I would say that some of the interior trim could have been upgraded a bit and I see some minor flaws in some of the trim and panel gaps. At this point I am going to say I almost love the car, but it's still early. It has sold us on having an electric car, especially with the price of gas today! I have calculated that with the price of electricity where we live in South Carolina, we are paying about $.04 a mile. If I was buying now, I would take a long look at a low mileage (probably CPO) Prologue and and stop losing $5-600 a month in depreciation.

2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV review
Performance is amazing...instant acceleration to 60mph. The controls require a steep learning curve. Still trying to figure all the icons out. Could be much easier if they actually allowed several screens to access the same control where the definition easily fits in more than one place...so we don't have to search to find it. Charging time on 120 is unacceptable. 56 hours to charge up from 20%.

2023 Tesla Model Y review
Amazing car. Was able to easily fit 300 square foot of laminate wood flooring inside with the seats folded flat. I'm going to glamp in this thing. I'm going to commute in Los Angeles, take my sister's dogs around - you name it. This thing is going to get a little dirty, hah. I'm happy it has a tow hitch as an option and roof rails available. The frunk and back trunk having storage (under the flat lift boot cover in the back) are just great for shopping and carrying around smaller items. I like that the 2023s still have the stalks because my wife and I tried the 24' Model 3 without, and we don't prefer that experience just yet. This is the best, most efficient, utilitarian, and sharp looking vehicle on the market. My only feedback is the paint could be better. I think they have the fit issues with the body panels down, and the sound dampening is a ton better in the 23's with the extra carpet that they add in the back and on the sides of the vehicle. I think to address the management of the company, Tesla is a big company. The recent Supercharger team layoffs were disappointing to hear in terms of how it was handled. However, I am excited by the prospect that the U.S.A. will have the North American Charging Standard, (NACS), as the single charging standard for Electric Vehicles going forward. NACS is much more elegant than J1772 and DCFC handles, as is the typical Supercharger location and experience. Do yourself a favor and buy into the vertically integrated EV experience with Tesla and don't worry about the public charging infrastructure that others have to deal with. That'll just be your backup option if the lines are too long at the Superchargers, or if you want a better charging rate in some rare contexts. What do I think about the CEO? I don't think about him really too much... the car speaks for itself.

I am so glad we bought our Ford Edge from Summit Ford! (Thanks Ryan Madala-Klug!!!) Not only do Chuck and I love it but now our Daughter does too. We let Jon and Molly use it to go to Rhinelander. She is now a Ford Edge convert! They easily took a vacation's worth of toys, food, clothes a big dog and and active three year old. It is so easy for Seniors to get in and out, great height to see others on the road, great safety features and easy to get kiddos strapped into! I worked retail for years and people would say to me, "Oh you are so good at that you do." As happy as I was to hear that I always thought "Don't tell me, tell my boss...tell others." So when I find a great product and/or exemplary service, I tell bosses and others. So I'm telling you, if you are thinking of a different car, Stop and see Ryan and the other good people at Summit Ford in Beaver Dam.
