For an AWD it gets great gas mileage, it's light design means you can go places heavier vehicles will struggle. It has excellent sight lines that makes sighting traffic easy and safe. Only bad thing is it is a Ford and Ford has awful dealership service, that is also very expensive in my experience from owning this vehicle. Good for off-roading and for commuting both around town and on the highway!

If you can find one. We bought this one used. It for a sale on a lot in 2020. We had it for 3 years this pass July 2023. We’ll keep it until it can no longer run. I’ve been all over in this car. Love it.

I owned one for 10 years and I did NOT have to do anything except normal Maintenace until the tenth year. The heater/air-conditioning had a problem, they took the whole thing out, had the vehicle for 3 days, and when I picked it up there were two bolts in the center consul, and I decided it was time to move on, so I traded it in with 10 or 20 thousand miles on it for a Ford Fusion Titanium Hybrid. All the time I owned the 2009 Escape I was pleased with it.

I wish I could have purchased this spiffy red Toyota Corolla 2007 but I assisted in dental procedure payments in the past year so I currently cant afford to make any major purchase this year. I pray that before my next car smog in 2 years that I will have the funds to purchase a 2007-2016 Toyota Corolla Basic style car. Any free car donations are welcome too but hopefully near where I live because I would like to test drive the next car I get and Tracy, CA is kind of far from where I live, but the folks around there seem to cherish their cars and am more likely to purchase a 1 buyer car there than around this very fast moving part of the East Bay area here in Alameda County. We can barely exit our apartment driveway where I reside currently because the traffic come from 2 major speedy streets leading on and off the freeway. My neighbor and her child were badly injured because on our 25MPH street the cars go about 50MPH on the average. I wish the mayor, and city council would put some traffic slowing bumps on our street but for now I'm just feeling anxious about living on this busy street here in Hayward, CA, USA?

I am currently at 200,000 miles and it's driving like new. The maintenance on this Hybrid is minimal compared to similar SUV's. It is the best vehicle I have owned over my 30 years of driving.

2.5 years ago I hit a deer. With no headlight, they worked me in and took excellent care of getting my truck repaired and back to me. Recently my A/C stopped working. The condenser had failed. The condenser sits next to the radiator and had been replaced during the repair. They again replaced it at no cost to me, way past the one year mark. I am impressed with their integrity.

Just hit 300,000 miles. Bought new 2005. This is first major work I've ever done it. New motor goes in soon. Good maintenance, brakes, tires tune ups and oil changes. Don't like new escape, not enough interior room for dog crate. Not sure how long I'll hang onto it after new, used motor goes in, at 90,000 probably not long.

I bought this vehicle originally because it was highly recommended to be pulled behind a RV. Which the reviews were correct. It was very simple to set up for being towed which is a huge advantage compared to other vehicles. In the intern, I am very impressed with its gas mileage and reliability. They are in the midst of expanding their car lot and do not have a structured building. They only have a mobile unit currently on the property so it's a bit disorganized right now. Sales personnel did not seem very friendly but they also aren't pushy which I liked. Most of the cars exteriors were really dirty from a dust storm that occurred a couple of weeks ago. They have a large inventory of vehicle choices.

I bought a 2008 escape hybrid from a government auction-it was used as a fire department vehicle in Denver Colorado. The hybrid version is the best in snow and bad weather due to its extra battery weight of 300lbs over the rear tires. Overall I haven’t had any real issues except for having to replace the hybrid battery that you can get a rebuilt better than oem for a fraction of what ford would charge to replace. This vehicle is awesome and will go just about anywhere and is good on gas for an suv.
