Used Ford Explorer for sale near Hilbert, WI

I have been dealing with the New Owner for a number of years on all my Auto work and Used vehicle purchases. Him and his team are always helpful on my repair options and do great work in a timely manner. Everything from simple tires or batteries to major repairs and adding options. The more I stop in, the more I see higher quality cars on the lot priced right. My kids will be driving soon and I will be buying from Affordable as they value my time, money and safety. Thanks Zach! 2016 Platinum. Nice SUV, comfortable, very powerful, decent fuel economy, fair build quality, but there are some things to be aware of; the AWD models have a PTU (power transfer unit) which sends power to the rear wheels. It is positioned very close to the exhaust, and the heat generated by the turbochargers literally cooks the gear oil in the PTU, causing it to fail. The unit only holds about a quart of oil, and is NOT serviced or checked, even when you have the vehicle serviced at the dealer. We had trouble with the front camera, and the recirculation actuator on the climate control. If you are considering a used Explorer, I highly recommend buying the best warranty you can! The only complaint I have is the road noise. On new pavement, it's quiet, but on all other roads it's VERY loud inside!

I everyone to know I walked in planning not to buy but I ended up buying we had a little confusion at first the maverick I was interested in was sold but they had more coming and then they didn’t but could order one and then the one that sold was not so I took it for a ride and I thought it was good I hadn’t no idea what it would be like so I said but had question on the numbers so after they explained it and would write in the sales agreement that my wife and financing I purchased it and I must say I’ve always dreaded buying a vehicle but this was so easy I recommend everyone go and experience it I’m truly shocked from the sales end to financial great people to work with

Best car I’ve ever owned. Does everything I want//need it to do. Always starts in the morning. I’ve been camping with it and slept inside the car. Plenty of room

I bought my 2003 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer edition (gold in color)when it was 3 yrs old (2006). It had 36,000 miles on it when I got it. It was the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. I'm so glad it couldn't talk cause I could be in alot of trouble...lol It had over 300,000 miles on it when the transmission went out on it. There's no way I could complain about it...I got my money out of it & more. Then I bought a 2010 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer edition(white in color) My son drives it now with over 250,000 miles on it.& my husband drives a 1998 Ford Explorer that we got when we first got together.Im not sure how many miles are on it The Ford Explorer is my vehicle !!!

Recently, I purchased a used Ford Edge from Bergstrom Ford of Neenah.I actually did stop and shop other car dealers from Rosemont, Mn. to include Baldwin, Wisconsin and Neenah,Wi. Our sales associate was very helpful and showed us the cars in stock. Nail Yetim (first name pronounced Niles) was very friendly and the entire team in the show room made us very comfortable, my dog enjoyed the visit, " he is a service dog" and enjoyed a treat. I love my ST all except for seating. I’m just not a fan of European style seating soo we had an upholstery shop up grade them. Sooo much fun to drive! Great gas mileage considering I’m a lead foot. And when needed you can put a full 4x8 sheet of plywood in the back.

We purchased a 2024 Luncoln Nautilus with 5k miles. We needed to bring it back for some minor items. Bergstrom said it would take a full day and they didn't have a loaner available. Ally suggested that Bergstrom pick up the car from my residence. WOW! That was above and beyond. Ally also texted me periodically throughout the day to let me know the service progress. I appreciated this because then I could have an idea of when my vehicle would be returned. Ally texted me when the driver left Neenah and in 20 minutes, our Nautilus was in our driveway. Shout out to Matt N for his salesmanship as well!

Have only had vehicle for 3 weeks but really like it. I’ve had F150’s for the past 12 years and thought I’d miss my truck, but I’m really enjoying this explorer. It’s more comfortable and fun to drive and the gas mileage is better.

Quiet, comfortable and powerful car. I have the twin turbo that puts out 400 hp. General gas mileage is 19-20 city and 24-25 highway. The only thing that I would change on this vehicle is that I would like to be able to turn off some of the automatic operations on a semi-permanent basis.

Although pricey, this truck is awesome to drive . Very sharp looking and runs fast! I highly recommend ! We went from a Flex to this car and it was a seamless transition.

My review is to comment on stellar service I receive EVERY TIME I bring my SantaFe in for work. Adam is our most frequent consultant and he is amazing! Great communication, kind and incredibly honest. The other day I stopped in without an appt and he wasn’t in. Fortunate for me, I encountered Lainey and in turn Caleb in service who graciously looked at my tires. They both were also great communicators, kind and accommodating! While people are so inclined to complain when there’s a problem, they often don’t compliment. These three set the bar high!

Wife's car ,working at home not many miles low 20k as of2024 June. Still I wonder about trans fluid because of time. Problem that bugs me is the radio. Static in AM off and on ,and of course the business station 1220am about the market. UGH!! Third lease of explorer, so low in miles ,made it a purchase. 🤞👍

2017 Ford Explorer. I love my car. It runs great but I have had battery problem and trim has blown off my car on freeway. Have not had a lot of problems with it.

I love this vehicle. My 2022 Ford Explorer XLT far exceeds my expectations. Handling is great. Performance is far better than expected. Gas mileage is 26mpg combined average for the 16,500 miles I have on the vehicle so far. The interior fit and finish could be better and the original tires...not holding up very well. The vehicle is comfortable and always a pleasure to drive. I always get compliments on the exterior style. In my opinion, it's one of the better looking SUV's on the road. The rear biased drive train give it superior handling, better than anything I test drove. Chevy, Subaru, or the Kia.

Bought this car in 2019 as my daily driver. It has enough space to transport my large and was very reliable until about 160,000 miles. Gasket seal and O2 sensors failed causing me $800 in repairs. Not super expensive, but like the previous review says check to see if there are any open recalls. Currently at 230,000 miles and still driving. If you follow the suggested maintenance schedule you'll be fine. If not, you'll be in for some trouble.

Dorsch Kia was the most consistent when i needed a response. I did not do business because another dealer had free oil changes. I would like to add that if that sales pitch wasn’t there I would have given Dorsch my business.

This is the first explorer that I have owned in nearly 30 years. I am coming from a ram 1500. I am surprised how comfortable this explorer is I’m really enjoying the gas mileage between 21 to 23 in town. I have not taken a trip on the highway yet.

The process can be scary but they provided me with various pictures, videos, and all the information to formulate my decision.
