2014 Honda CR-V review
Love my 2014 CRV 130K miles and going strong. Very comfortable. The A/C has been a bit buggy. Had to put it into service mode a few times to get it working again. ( that's why 4/5 * on reliability ). Bought this car in 2017 with 36K. Plan is to keep it till 200K.

I bought a 2004 Volvo XC70 from Choice a year ago. Gus was easy to work with. He buys used cars very selectively, sticking to the ones he thinks satisfy his customers.
2014 Honda CR-V review
Bought in 2017 with 35K on it, this is my second CRV and fifth Honda since '95. It now has @ 140K on it and it drives almost like new. I had one major repair, a new drive shaft ($1100) which was the FIRST major repair on ANY of my Hondas since '95. Reliable and then some. Great resale value.

2020 Honda CR-V review
I bought the 2020 CR-V new in July 2020 and as of December 2024, have 39K miles on it. I have taken it to the dealer for regular maintenance. It has been trouble-free and drives very well. If I have one complaint, it's the glitchy infotainment system. I have had to do a factory reset on the infotainment system twice. Otherwise, a wonderful vehicle.

2013 Honda CR-V review
Our vehicle now has 150,000 miles. Its performing great. Pretty good gas mileage and has had minimal service other than routine. It does have a rattle when first starting car. We had that fixed ($800) but now it's back. Dang. The one exterior design problem we face is the latch for the rear hatch. The location is poor. EVERYONE tries to open the hatch just under the window where there is a cut out and has pulled off trim and messed with the back up camera. I've noticed that has been fixed on newer models. It does not seem to do really well in the snow due to the weight distribution. Even with new tires. But its been super dependable and has been our people and dog moving car for 10 years and has really held up well.

I have good experience with this dealership. Pro and cons: Pro: excellent customer service. Thank you Valerie Naval. She helped me and explained everything I asked her. Cons: Car needs to be prep for sale, deep cleaning or at least check it out for anything leftover from previous owner. But Valerie offer me reimbursement for detailing my car. Most of all if you don't like your car for any reason return policy excellent with out any hidden fees, check with your salesperson for details. I would recommend Carmax to my friends .

Shottenkirk Honda Davis review
I had an outstanding experience working with Phillip Najera at Shottenkirk Honda with the purchase of my 2026 Honda Accord Touring Hybrid. From the very beginning, Phillip demonstrated exceptional professionalism, knowledge, and dedication to ensuring I received the best possible financing approval based on my individual financial situation. He took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for and worked diligently to secure the precise vehicle and loan terms I wanted. Throughout the entire process, Phillip was transparent, patient, and genuinely committed to achieving the best outcome for me rather than simply making a sale. His level of customer service far exceeded my expectations and is a true reflection of what outstanding automotive sales and customer care should look like. Employees like Phillip Najera are a tremendous asset to Shottenkirk Honda and deserve professional recognition for their commitment to excellence, integrity, and customer satisfaction. Because of Phillip's exceptional service, I will confidently return to Shottenkirk Honda for future vehicle purchases and will gladly recommend both Phillip Najera and the dealership to family, friends, and colleagues. He has earned my trust, my loyalty, and my future business.
2019 Honda CR-V review
I purchased a 2019 CRV EX-L a little more than a year ago. I purchased it at higher mileage with 93K. It has 110K as time of writing. It is a very good car, quiet, comfortable, and lots of space inside. However, it does lack get up and go from the 1.5L turbo. But once you are at highway speed, it goes all day. The info/entertainment system is finnicky and not easy to use especially when driving. The major concern is with that 1.5L turbo engine. It's running fine now, but I have watched too many You Tube videos, and this particular engine is on the shortlist for gasket leaks, oil dilution, and carbon build up. Therefore, I aim to change the plugs, check the brakes, check for leaks around the head gasket in the next month.

I recently purchased a used Honda from University Honda and was impressed and relieved by how the sales staff and financiers conducted themselves. This was the most pleasant car purchase I've ever made. No sales pressure, no slimy tactics or tricks. Genuine smiles. I recommend. A++++
2025 Honda CR-V review
The CRV is a luxury mid size hatchback. Smooth riding, handles well in Michigan’s winter weather 🤒. Good miles per gallon. I do drive in economy mode. I am still getting used to the size after driving a Honda Odessy. Good overall view. No obvious blind spots. I wish it had a manual garage opener feature on on the Ex.

I got in contact with my salesman Q over the phone on Friday afternoon letting him know I would be coming in the next day and he got everything ready when I got there. I had to travel in from the Salinas Valley, so I really didn’t want my time wasted, and I was pleasantly surprised with how quickly we got to agreeable numbers. From start to finish, it was about 2 hours total. If you have bought cars, you can appreciate how fast that really is. Thank you Q and the rest of the staff for making my trip quick and easy. Thank you to the detailers who had my car shining when I got there!

After looking online for a couple of weeks, and searching within 2 hours of the Bay Area, we decided to head for University Honda. We exchanged emails and made an appointment to meet with the internet sales reps. We arrived as schedule and had someone with us within 5 minutes. We negotiated pricing and ended up with a deal that beat anyone else within 200+ miles. No pressure sales and very earnest and straightforward about the deal. A DETAILED personalized walkthrough of the entire vehicle before we left the lot. EXTRA BONUS - we left the car at the dealership while we went to lunch and took a brief tour of Davis.

I love the huge interior of this! I have enough room with the seats down for all 3 Great Danes! The mileage is great and driving is very comfy. I had a rav 4, and it was ok, but it was a bit bulky, this is smaller And easier to drive around!

The process was fairly quick and low stress. They were able to get me a lower rate than my credit union was offering. Overall a good experience.

Excellent car. Almost no trouble in 13 years of ownership. Extremely reliable. Easy to maintain. Only complaint is that it is noisier than I would like on the highway.

Staff were very friendly but took several hours to complete paperwork even though financing was not needed; would be better for them to enhance their efficiency in this regard.

2022 Honda CR-V review
I love my Honda CRV! I have always driven Honda Accords, but when none were available, the sales rep recommended the Honda CRV. We took it for a test drive, and it handled very well. The seating is comfortable. The design of the interior and exterior of the CRV is excellent. Would definitely buy it again. Highly recommended!

Had an excellent experience working with Amin on our new 328i. Shoman has an excellent selection of Bmws and euros and i found the perfect 6 speed manual 328i with low miles here. The guys were able to help me out quick and easy. Highly recommend!
2007 Honda CR-V review
In 2026, I received a 2007 Honda CRV EX from my father who no longer can drive. The vehicle is 19 years old and only has 89K miles on it. The ONLY major repair I had to make on this vehicle is a A/C Compressor for $1600. Other than that, the car has been meticulously maintained. I change the oil every 3,000 to 4,000 using Idemitsu synthetic 5w20 oil using a Japanese made oil filter by Honda. The car still runs flawlessly and my goal is to get at least 300K miles or more. The K24Z1 engine with the 5 speed automatic transmission is bullet proof and as long as I change the transmission fluid every 30K and oil changes every 3-4K miles, the vehicle will easily make it to 300K. Best engine/transmission combo Honda ever had.

Vacaville HondaReviews
Vacaville Honda review
I have been doing business with Vacaville Honda for many years. Not only am I extremely satisfied with their wonderful staff but I recently brought in a dear friend of mine who was shown the exact same hospitality and professionalism as expected. Mike Mahoney is an exceptional person who will treat and take care of all your concerns whatever you came in for. In all my years of doing business with car dealerships both in NY and California there is only one place I will ever do business with. That’s Vacaville Honda. I can’t say enough about their professionalism, courteous, caring staff especially Mike Mahoney. I guarantee you will be extremely satisfied going there for whatever you are in the market for. Needless to say my friend left with a great deal for the car she immediately chosen. They are the prime example of what a car dealership should be. Their business methods should be the example for all to follow

Can't enjoy music or conversation while driving due to road and outside noise. I'm used to a Ford f150 that is very comfortable and quiet.

2015 Honda CR-V review
One year and 37,000 miles later, my 2015 Honda CR-V EX-L, purchased from Bill Kay Honda, has exceeded all expectations! I bought this gem with 50,000 miles on the clock, and it's been nothing short of a dream. Dependability is the name of the game here – this car hasn't skipped a beat. Gas mileage has been consistently impressive, making both city commutes and long road trips a breeze. As expected with any vehicle of this mileage, routine repairs have been standard, but nothing out of the ordinary. The EX-L trim package adds a touch of luxury with its leather interior and upgraded features, making every drive comfortable. The spacious interior and ample cargo space have been perfect for everything from grocery runs to weekend getaways. Having finally taken the plunge into the Honda world, I now understand the rave reviews from my mechanics. This CR-V has proven its worth, and I'm a loyal Honda convert for life! I want to specifically mention the excellent service I received at Bill Kay Honda, especially from my salesman, Bert Tvrz. The sales process was smooth and transparent, and Bert went above and beyond to answer all my questions. He even called the previous owner to track down the owner's manual, which was incredibly helpful. Even a year later, I'm still thrilled with my purchase. I felt that they were honest and upfront about the car, and that is very important to me. Tip: If you're looking for a reliable, fuel-efficient, and comfortable SUV, the 2015 Honda CR-V EX-L is a fantastic choice. Regular maintenance will keep it running smoothly for years to come. And if you're in the market for a used Honda, I highly recommend checking out Bill Kay Honda and asking for Bert Tvrz!

CarMax West SaharaReviews
CarMax West Sahara review
Best car buying experience my wife and I have ever had. They still use the age old "up" system in greeting walk in prospects, which is fair to the sales people, but we didn't feel like we were just a number. No price negotiations here as the posted price is what it is and the sales people don't work on commission. We had searched their inventory via internet and indicated the vehicle which we were interested in looking at. It was parked at the front entrance waiting for us when we arrived at our appointment time. We ended up buying it. Will buy our next car here too.
2015 Honda CR-V review
Not an improvement over our 2011 CRV in any respect. The CVT sounds cheap, not an enough legroom, compass continual needs resetting and the stereo is marginal. Had to have a water pump replacement at 82,000 miles. No fun to drive and AWD isn’t the best.

It's longer than most SUVs. I've been able to haul both drywall and plywood still closing the rear door. It's been great to travel with, the back seats fold all the way down.
