Service department at Carmax superceded my expectations! Called to have a service done on my Nissan and they were able to accommodate my tight schedule even though they did explain their schedules were tight as well. The amount of time I waited was far less than any dealer I've ever been to, and Dave in the service department greeted me by name and wore a smile until I left! They even washed my car for me and let me know if there was anything I needed to not hesitate to give them a call.
Went into the Carmax store just to look for a car for future purchase. I was greet immediately by Mr. Carl R Emery and from there things went smoothly. We asked about cars and he talk to us a little about them and told us to have a look and call on him if we need to look in, test drive or just ask question about any of the vehicles. We end up buying a car! Customer service was great and now we will have to drive the car for a little while before I will make any comments. OVERALL the experience.
My situation must have been the most difficult situation ever at a Carmax, even though it was tough and the Managers and Myself got frustrated at times Ed, Dave, Eric, and Chris (Carmax Charleston Managers) never gave up on me and worked hard to make this thing happen. I came to them looking for my dream car, the Mitsubishi Lancer RalliArt or Evolution on a limited budget. They found the vehicle and brought it in, I bought the vehicle and there were a few problems with it, the guys took the car back no questions asked and found another one, even though there were some other issues that occured the Management staff at Carmax stuck by me and helped me make it happen. Anyone new to the car buying process should go see the team at Carmax, Charleston, as they will guide you through the process and explain it to you the whole way through! I’ve been buying parts from Jones Ford for decades. I finally purchased a new car from Jones Ford about a year ago. Mostly because I have always been treated so nicely even by Mr. Walters. I’ve gotten to know the parts people in some of the texts and mechanics well enough to say that there some of the nicest and most humble techs and mechanics I’ve ever encountered. The only morning I would have Franny dealership is to hire good people at every level of the organization and then trust them. Putting too many barriers between the customer and those who actually do the work takes away from the “good neighbor” feel of a dealership. Jones Ford loved me for years before I bought a car. I recently returned to purchase another new car. The salesmen I dealt with were exceptional and to me perfect in every way they treated me. Other dealers lost my loyalty simply because they don’t understand love and respect.
I spent all day with my wife going to dealerships after dealerships.It was not a pleasant experience until we pulled into Payless car sales, and was treated professionally by Brandon who listened to us instead of talk talk talk. The first car he showed us was exactly what we said we were looking for. The price was great and we love the car. Thank you Brandon.
I would suggest my friends to buy from here great ppl very polite, not push and listen your your wants locally owned long time in the business
