2012 Jaguar XJ review
If you want a car that has aged well to be over 10 years old since the restyling and still features all the options of a modern day car for substantially less money but substantially more in style and quality details, then this car is for you! The portfolio long wheelbase model has been a superb pick having all of the options like air cooled, heated and massaging seats, Touchscreen and voice activated navigation, smart phone integration, lane change management, and everything you’d expect on a modern day luxury vehicle but more than you’d ever imagine on a car over 12 years old with the price to own being everything for practically nothing to look like something that is driven by someone with style frim the upper class. It is like owning a vintage wine to be even more fine as time passes and it becomes the epidemy of a classic by sheer design with loads of burl (burr) wood, Connelly leather, aviation aluminum, chrome and put together with tail lights that look like the Jaguars claws have scratched the rear as its stance is seen from the front and the top fades to black at the back to look like a lanyard on a yacht made for land in Coventry, England, for a truly discriminating owner who will have a long lasting beauty. That is as long as it is respected and maintained by someone who is diligent with their duty to keep it tuned, serviced and detailed to be something so rare out there. Temecula Valley Lexus Service turned what could’ve been a vacation-ruining nightmare into a master-class in customer care. While road-tripping from Phoenix, the serpentine belt on my LX570 shredded, wrapped itself around the fan clutch, and mangled the front of the engine bay. Google Maps showed another Lexus dealer closer, yet Temecula Valley Lexus’ spotless looking facility (Google maps pics) and stellar ratings convinced me to gamble on the longer tow—and I’m grateful I did. Even though I rolled up in a rented Chevy work truck, the service team welcomed me like I’d just driven onto their service drive floor with my lexus. Service Consultant Adam Caughron listened patiently to my whole “out-of-state, vacation-clock-is-ticking” tale and, despite a no appointments available schedule for days, promised to make my LX a priority. By the next morning he’d already called with a clear diagnosis and confirmed parts on order. The next couple evenings, Adam and the technician (an unsung hero I wish I’d caught by name) stayed past 10:30 p.m., both wrenching side-by-side to get me back on the road. The following day I picked up a perfectly repaired LX, checked out of my rental vehicle, and headed home on schedule. Adam even gave me his personal number and asked me to text when I arrived safely—service that goes far beyond the job description. Temecula Valley Lexus knows I’m unlikely to become a regular customer from hundreds of miles away in another state, yet they treated me as if I were family. Clean facility, transparent communication, and genuine empathy: this team embodies what a dealership service department should be. Thank you, Adam, and everyone at Temecula Valley Lexus for rescuing our vacation and exceeding every expectation. If you’re anywhere within driving distance—choose them.
