This was my first time purchasing a new car, and I am almost certain that I will forever go through Kia Berlin City, and I will also be using Phil ( the man who sold me my car). They are efficient and truly try to get you into a car that suits you and your needs, at a reasonable price!
This was just supposed to be a service appointment for our 2015 Kia Soul. I had received a few emails about the great deals on new cars and how combined with what I could get for my used Kia that I could be driving a new car for less. So out of curiosity I started checking out the new 2017 models online. I was impressed with many of the the new improvements I read about, safety being the primary one. So I decided while there I would take a look at the new Kia Souls. It was something to pass the time while I waited for our car to be serviced. In October 2015 we traded in our 2013 Kia Soul on a new one at Berlin City and the buying experience was the best I ever had purchasing a car. (Read my review on that from (October 31, 2015). We live 2 hours from the dealership but it is the only place I go for any service regardless of how big or small it may be. I know it sounds crazy to most people to drive 90 minuets both ways for just regular car maintenance but I have several reasons. There are 2 types of employees at Berlin City, the ones that treat you like royalty and the ones that treat you like family. No matter which you deal with, you look forward to the visit and leave feeling good about yourself. Over the last 2 years I have dealt with a fantastic Service Team on several different types of service. Ryan Maxwell and Austin Hemingway have always been great to deal with. They accommodate my scheduling needs and get me in and out of the dealership as quickly and painlessly as possible. They are very knowledgeable in their work and trust worthy about the vehicle needs That is why I keep making the long trip. Eric Smith the Servise Manager should be proud of these employees. We were going to wait another 2 or 3 years to get our next Kia Soul and as I said this was just supposed to be a scheduled service appointment. The first thing that started to change that to buying a new car was when I arrived. I was lucky and found a parking space not far from the entrance, however I am 65 and use a cane. I noticed a salesman saw me getting out of the car and started sprinting across the showroom to hold the door open for me. After welcoming me to the dealership he rushed back into the room to work with customers he already had. This nice gesture was much appreciated and gave Yousif Yousif an A+ in my book. After dropping off my keys at service and a little chit chat with the guys I went to find Yousif. The couples he had been working with were now in Finance so we went to look at the new 2017 Kias. The only Caribbean Blue (the only color we would want) had just been sold. We still looked at some and Yousif was very knowledgeable about the improvements. We took one for a test drive and by the time we got back Yousif could have sold me right on the spot if it had been Caribbean Blue. He took me to see Dedrick Casab to see if one could be found. After a lot of work Dedrick found a 2018 they would have to bring in from out of state.. I had specific things I wanted and a specific monthly payment but most importantly I did not want to put out any money. Yousif and I worked on numbers and Dedrick and I worked on the accessories that I wanted. Remote start and heated seats would have to be added after the car got here but we worked it all out. Yousif and Dedrick were great to deal with. Two more employees Berlin City should be happy to have. The final step in the process was with the Finance Manager Todd Maynard who helped Dedrick get the numbers where I wanted. He kept checking to make sure I had all the features I wanted or that the service team was going to install them later. Todd helped me with all the paperwork, making sure I was getting all I had asked for. All the people at Berlin City Kia were great to deal with and it is the only dealership I will ever use for service or buying a new car..
I called up the dealer, since I saw online they offered FREE VT state inspections, wanted to find out the details, assuming there was some catch, since everywhere else in the state charges $50-$100!!. Come to find out it is exactly what they say. FREE. FREE for anyone, and there is no hidden fine print like you have to have purchased your car there etc. I did not buy my car from them, and they had me in and out in less than an hour, and didn't have to pay a dime. Treated me like I had spent a million dollars. The whole experience was great, from the time I checked in to the time I left they kept me informed, and delivered on everything they promised. Everyone was friendly, must have been greeted by 6 different people in the time it took me to walk across the showroom to the waiting area. Thank you Berlin City Kia service team, job well done!
It was time to trade in my truck and to be honest, the only reason why I ended up at this dealership was because they had the truck I wanted. So I made contact to see if we could make a deal and well they appraised my vehicle at less then I owed. So I thought that I was taking my business else where but then they offered me more then I owed. I was very pleased but worried I couldn’t afford the truck I wanted. Then I started talking with Kyle about financing. I told him what I wanted for a payment and he made it happen. The next hurdle was showing up to trade in my truck two days later when the check engine light came on. I was now dealing with Noel. I thought for sure that the deal was off but Noel reassured me not to worry and that he would do his best to get me in the truck I wanted. After some waiting he came back and we walked in to sign the papers. I was thrilled then Noel asked who my insurance was and if I was interested in taking a look at lowering it, i said sure and he made some calls. After about 20 minutes we found a company that lowered my insurance by $80 a month. Overall it was a great experience and I would highly recommend this dealership and it’s fantastic staff to everyone. Thanks

Peter worked with us every step of the way, even when we had to switch insurance companies to ensure the car we wanted (which took days). Our daughter loves the car (so do we). This is the third car that we have purchased from Paya's and I am sure it will not be the last.
I just purchased my second vehicle from Paya's Auto. I had been very pleased with my last purchase of a 2014 Ford Escape back in 2015, and now had a need to search for a sedan to replace my wife's sedan that was totaled. Working with Kyle and Tom in sales was a pleasant experience. They were low pressure, helpful, and knowledgeable of the vehicles on their lot and regarding the process of purchasing. I had my eye on a 2014 Ford Fusion Titanium on there lot, and Kyle and Tom went out of their way to make some last minute electrical repairs to the vehicle to make us very comfortable with making the purchase. After purchasing the vehicle, I noticed some minor additional electrical issues that were not readily apparent when checking out the vehicle. I emailed Tom to see if he could mitigate the issue, and he immediately forwarded to service department, who in turn contacted me immediately to resolve my concern. Rob, from service worked with me to completely resolve the minor electrical issues. I am extremely pleased with the whole purchasing process! I will purchase my next vehicle at Paya's!
We recently purchased our second rebuilt car from Paya’s. The car is virtually brand new—less than 1,100 Miles. We appreciated their full disclosure of the prior damage to the car and the repair work prior to sale. The car inside, outside, engine compartment and truck are spotless. Tom Patterson provided exactly what we requested and there was no effort to upsell. That was much appreciated. He is an asset to their operation. Our first Paya car was an excellent vehicle. We trust this one will be too. We are already planning our next buy. We recommend Tom and Paya’s.
From the second I bought my (like new) 2015 Toyota Corolla from payas, they have treated me like family. I am grateful for the vehicle which brings a little warmth whenever I see the relatively cheap payments and the fact that in over a year I've had no car problems at all! They did my one year inspection for free, talk to me like it isn't a sin to not be a mechanic, and forgive me when I have no idea what I'm talking about or miss an appointment. I will likely never shop for cars or car service anywhere else!
