2022 Land Rover Defender review
Let me start by saying I love Land Rover products, have owned a few, and I love this car but... I've had more electronic issues with this car than all previous combined. Granted, it has a lot more technology than previous models I've owned, so there is that. Land Rover frequently sends software updates to the car that must be downloaded. It takes several attempts to ever get them to work/download properly. The last one I received I finally had to take it to the dealer to let them do it (after several weeks of trying). Additionally, the camera system had to be replaced for intermittent interruptions that progressively got worse over a few months time (car is a year old now). Big problem for this car b/c it's difficult to see out of the car and the cams are a necessity. Beyond the electronic issues, the car looks great and performs well on my ranch where I actually need a car that can get around in all weather conditions and on the inclines and rough terrain we have - plus I just enjoy driving it. Hoping they work out the electronics. I plan to keep the car for a good while.

Khalid is good, but Tyson Mercedes is greedy. Khalid wore a sharp tailored suit which is unheard of in the dealerships where I am from. He was very professional, pointing out flaws in the paint he offered to fix before I could point out the ones I saw. He respected my time which was less than ideal for making a purchase today. We made a handshake on a good deal, but it's been over 6 hours and I still haven't seen my "deal" in writing with an out the door quote. As far as Tyson Mercedes, the vehicle which was just "front end aligned" last week had one tire about 5-6 pounds low, and this was not noticed with the yellow light on the dash when it was pulled around for me earlier in the day. The test drive was not safe to conduct other than around the corner and back at slow speed, so I have no idea how it really handles. The biggest issue I have is the dealership assessing a "non-negotiable" sky-high processing fee which is nearly $1000, probably among the highest in Virginia. It doesn't cost $1000 for the 15 minutes of work it takes to process the sale and send the documents to DMV, etc. If they want this kind of fee, they should be selling vehicles $1000 below market value, and not even bothering marking them up $3000 over market value! Be prepared to negotiate $3000-4000 down just to get to the market price on a used vehicle! As a first-time Range Rover (SE SUV) buyer I was very much impressed. Every aspect of the buying process was notably superb. My overall first-class experience started when I entered the showroom and I was warmly greeted by Derrick Reason, Client Advisor. I found Derrick to be exceptionally knowledgeable on the technical specs and attributes of the 2025 Range Rover SE SUV. Mr. Reason was not only well-informed and conversant, but equally important he was very nice, friendly and easy to talk to. Mr. Reason also introduced me to Mr. Tony Moorehead, Manager; who was also knowledgeable, very pleasant, helpful and he was definitely instrumental in moving me to a highly committed buyer phase. After speaking with both Mr. Reason and Mr. Moorehead, I firmly decided to move forward and begin the formal application process. Mr. Reason described the financing process in detail before introducing me to Omar Qaraghuli, Finance Director. Mr. Qaraghuli was thorough in explaining all financing options and I knew rightaway that he was very skilled in luxury vehicle financing and Omar successfully secured financing. Overall, I give Derrick, Tony, and Omar high marks and in turn Land Rover Chantilly. Prior to walking into the showroom at Land Rover Chantilly I had very high expectations and admittedly my expectation were overwhelmingly met! Kudos to the sales & financing teams! Job well done!

2017 Land Rover Range Rover review
I have owned an Audi A8, a 2017 BMW 740d XDrive MSport and a long time ago a Jaguar XJR. I now have a second hand 2017 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SD V8. I also own a 2003 LandRover Defender TD5. I traded the BMW because i preferred driving the defender most of the time. The Range Rover is a bit like taking the defender and mating it with the BMW....although I would say the BMW does not come close to the RR in terms of material quality. The Range Rover has the commanding driving position I so like in my Defender. And like the Defender it so easy to place on the road because you can see where the corners are (simples). However unlike the Defender you do not need to visit a chiropractor after a long journey it is supremely comfortable (equal or better than the BMW. The boot is massive (50% bigger than the BMW and you can fold the seats down on top of that) + it has a full size spare (no run-flats here). The car is a dream to drive with loads of driver aids. The only negative is I do miss having a physical control (iDrive) for the infotainment - I am not a fan of touch screens in cars. I am getting use to the voice control which is helping me stay away from the touch screen. The only thing it is not is a Sports car.

2004 Land Rover Discovery review
I owned a 03 disco, that had close to 200k before an accident totaled her, it still looked great inside and , everything besides seat heater still worked, I towed my 22 ft speedboat about 15 to 20 times a summer up to 500 miles a trip, 4 wheeled alot, not just easy dirt road driving either, took it snowboarding all over WV,PA,VT, once through a blizzard, Snowshoe got 26 in that night, went on like it was a dry summer night, I recently bought a mint one owner 75k original mileage, 04 disco, dealer maintained, pretty much all original besides head gasket job at 70 k, that was also the only major repair on my 03, best purpose built suv ever, the LR3 and 4s are nice but beat a disco II
