We originally saw the auto online and talked about a trade in via phone. Richard Walsh made the transaction easy and pleasant. He knew we would be driving down from the Northeast and would be exhausted; papers were organized and ready, car was right up front when we pulled up. The dealership was clean; people very friendly, the car was clean, had mats and 2 keys. YAY! I would recommend Mazda of Port Charlotte and Rich Walsh. We will be back when shopping for a second car. Fairly good. The theme was a no commission sales. So the person assigned to me wasn’t going to try to sell me. Well I’m an older man so I really wasn’t worried about that. The car I was interested in was getting some work done so I had to wait a bit. After driving it I knew it was a decent price and I had already researched the worth of my trade. They gave me my price for my trade and the deal was done. Now I have learned that the real profit is made in the closing process. I was just too tired to deal with that. So the next day I went in to finish up. There definitely was some pressure to buy an extended warranty and furture service. But my salesman really wasn’t able to get me to buy any of that. So in closing, I got a good deal on the car and a decent price for my trade. But an inexperienced buyer may have ended up with a lot more cost. So know what you’re buying and selling and don’t get talked into buying something that you really don’t need.
