2015 Countryman S.Very reliable; bought from Bergstrom. Steering problem when turning on bumpy roads.New models (after 2017) are better; but I don’t know about reliability.Have fun!

The countryman is the perfect compromise for those who want a Mini and still want a workable amount of interior space. The gas mileage is insanely good, it's fun to drive, and you will be running laps past everyone at the stoplights because of how zippy it is. Parking is also never an issue, always lots of space, and easy to maneuver. My only two complaints are that maintenance tends to be expensive (when you factor in the gas savings though, I'd say it pays for itself) and the engine is weak. If you load even just a couple hundred pounds of passengers and cargo into it, it can drive for maybe an hour or so before the engine light kicks on and begs for mercy. I've never had this result in an actual issue that caused a breakdown or required us to pull over, and maintenance confirmed that there are no larger issues with my engine in particular. Turns out that it just limits its own engine power whenever it's struggling. But it is a bit annoying, especially on longer trips.

After 23 years of driving minivans and SUVs, I was ready for a change. I love my 2016 Mini Cooper S 4 door. with the 6 speed manual transmission. Car is great to drive, gets okay mileage (25+mpg) and is surprisingly practical.

I am the second owner of my 2015 Mini Countryman S and love it. It is the most reliable car I have had in several years. Not very comfortable for long rides and expensive for things not in my service maintenance agreement - lightbulbs $300?! I do have dealer service every time and keep up with service timeline... I got a wonderful car from Imported Motor Cars in Maine. It’s a beautiful car, incredibly fun to drive, and surprisingly fits tall folks well (my husband is 6’5”). The 2016 model is high in reliability according to CR, and I haven’t found it to be different. It has great gas mileage and is pretty good in snow.

Transports more than other 4 door cars. Drives fantastic. Smooth, yet sporty and nimble ride, with plenty of quick acceleration when needed. Very reliable, with easy maintenance.

This is our third MINI. We have a 2008 Cooper and a 2013 Countryman. It's become an addiction. Usually, by the time we pay off a vehicle we want to replace it. Not with MINI. We love ours and the 2016 Countryman is no exception. It's larger than the 2013, but it's still familiar. I'm the shortest at 5'9". Hubby is just under 6' and our son is 6'2". We all feel like the MINI's were designed for tall people. We refer to them as TARDISes because they are bigger on the inside. Smooth ride. Comfortable handling. Safe. Extremely reliable. Stylish. Would highly recommend.

I have had my Countryman S for about 7 months and 2000 miles (I have two other cars). It’s Chili Red with Petrol Blue interior. My favorite points are 1. The interior. If you love interesting fun interiors as I do then you will love it. If you try to avoid black interiors and exteriors you eliminate 90% of the cars other make. With Mini, you can get perhaps the most fun interiors anywhere and the Vescin seems comfortable enough. Just with they had ventilated seats. 2. Power, FINALLY Mini got a full BMW tune given you pay about the same price. It is plenty quick and I get 33-36mpg on the highway all the time. Drops much lower zooming around town. 3. Appearance and layout. I like the unique appearance, low roof line for kayaks and plenty of room for the kind of car it is. Negatives: 1. Electronics. Had several updates since I bought it and it has improved a lot but will take some getting used to. Use the favorites menu. Everything is pretty much forced onto the center screen. Sometimes Mini does things to be cute rather than practical. Rather than a start button it uses a flag toggle key you turn off and on like an old fashioned key. If you have to change cars like I do it’s confusing. 2. Center console. Basically, there is not one. There’s a little clam shaped compartment the size of a clutch purse. The armrest doesn’t open. Wasted potential. You will hate this if you are used to piling layers of stuff in a huge center console. Glove box is minimal, too. Neutral. 1. There’s no screen behind the wheel but there is a heads up display. Frankly, after awhile I don’t miss it at all. The heads up is excellent but it takes a little getting used to. 2. Suspension is a bit stiff like all Mini’s. Makes it sporty but trade off is feeling most road imperfections. It does take the top off bumps well but it’s a trade off. In summary, the reliability has been good AFTER the electronics updates and most things work well. It is just so fun to drive and look at inside and out that really I am not sure what I’d rather drive. You might cross shop the BMW X1 and see which works better for you. You cannot beat Mini interiors though for just pure fun and the driving matches on what is a practical Mini for a family. Oh, I got it to tow a camper but I have yet to do that. That is a great new addition in my book. I will probably get a kayak trailer.

Our BMW X5 was just out of warranty and would in need some costly repairs. On the fly, my wife and I️ went to Sewell Subaru since we love the dealership. Unfortunately, where we are with our finances we needed our X5 paid off and a lower payment on the Subaru. We were headed towards leasing and this situation helped us. Will worked with our monthly figure and was super duper patient, helpful, fill up our gas and washed our car twice. He was super transparent and helpful in getting us comfortable. He was great to my daughters too. Special recognition for Michael the finance manager to getting my deal done. We leased a 2020 Ascent Touring and we love the SUV with so much more space for the 3rd row. I️ would recommend picking this dealership and paying a little more one time and get this great dealership who prides themselves on first class service!! I loves mini, its simple cute and small car but has power. And the space isnt too bad. The gas consumption is also not much. A bit expensive for maintaining but its worth it.
