Concord Honda Service

As a Senior with an old 2004 Honda Civic HYBRID with 130000 miles, I’m as pleased as I was when I bought it new. The hybrid battery was replaced just before the warranty was up. Concord Honda has a complete record of this car. As long as the left arthritis knee holds down the clutch on the stick shift I can zip around with great mileage.

The perfect commuter car
by Tony in San Diego from San Diego
January 18, 2019

While doing my research for an EV, I had a few criteria: 1) The price needs to be under $35K 2) The battery range has to be at least 120 miles. 3) It needs to have Drive Assist and Intelligent Cruise Control (which I used in my friend's Tesla and decided that they would make driving much safer and much less stressful). Leaf met all these criteria. With the $7500 CA rebate and 10K federal rebate, my cost ended up being only about 24K for the car. My commute is 15 miles one way. With the Leaf's battery capacity, I only have to charge once a week at the cost of about $10. But the best parts of the Leaf are its Pro-Pilot and Intelligent Cruise Control (the package cost $2200 at my dealership). I wouldn't get a Leaf without them. They make driving so much easier, safer, and more comfortable. The ride itself is very smooth in my opinion. I drive mostly in Eco mode, and the responsiveness is sufficient in my opinion. It is extremely quiet. When I make calls from my phone through Apple Car Play, people I call can't tell that I was calling from a car. The one-pedal driving is even much better than Tesla (according to my friend who owns a Tesla). While a Tesla won't come to a full stop until you hit the brake, Leaf will eventually stop once you take your foot off the gas pedal. It does take some getting used to, but once you get used to it, you'd never want to drive without it! I only gave 4 stars for the interior design, because it feels that there is no "uniformity" in the design. For example, to park, you push a button, but to activate the Eco mode, you pull a switch. It's a minor gripe, though.

Although we didn't purchase from Mercedes-Benz of Walnut Creek, the experience working with Nick Coddington was extremely pleasant. He took the time to determine our needs and budget and spent as much time as we needed to identify the car we wanted. I'd recommend them highly if you are in the market for a new or used vehicle.

Great EV with excellent range for the dollar
by DVM from Delray Beach, FL

I got my first EV in 2004, so I have had a few of them. I recently replaced my 2015 Leaf S with a 2019 SL Plus. Compared to the older Leaf, the 2019 is an outstanding vehicle in every way. I love the e-pedal capability, which reminds me of the Mini-E. The car handles well and has decent acceleration. The range of the new Leaf has been great, even at 88% charged (max I have done so far) the range is over 200 miles, and even on the highways at speed the range seems to hold up. Yes, you can get more range in other cars. Yes you can spend less money. Overall though, the Leaf is a proven and practical car with excellent range and utility for the dollar.

John Ford is the best service coordinator! He explained everything that needs to be done with my car, my options, how much it will cost. No surprises! They have a service shuttle that takes you and picks you up to where you want to go while your car is being serviced. Received my car super clean and smelling fresh after service. Coffee, tea and snacks are available while waiting for your car. Lounge has a nice big screen TV and comfortable chairs.

Impressive
by Jackeast from Elizabethtown

1 USB, BT, AUX cable, good sound, tight handling, surprising acceleration, generally good all around visibility, headlights could be brighter, pretty good front seat space and leg room, adequate rear seat space (but only for short to moderate range trips), surprising amount of trunk space. Adds about 60-70 miles from a regular home power outlet in about 12 hours. Saves about 7 cents a mile vs 2.50 gallon gas. HD radio works well. Heat and air is effective. Great commuting car.

Most Reliable and Fun Car I've Ever Owned

I've never been more pleased with a car. Not only did I save tons of money - with the federal, state, and local rebates, plus avoiding gas stations for years! - but it handles well because the battery causes its weight to be low, and it accelerates fast because the power's electric and right there all the time! Great interior room, too - moved chairs in it.

Leaf is the best value for money and fun car I have ever owned. Gives good 110 miles range, Less cost with electric charging and lower annual registration :) . Has surprisingly very good pickup and is fun to drive. Very good for daily commute and chores around the city. low or no maintenance. So overall lots of savings and more fun.

I have a large garden and often haul bags of compost around, as well as plants and garden equipment. I drive the car all over the city and just love driving it. When I need power, I leave other cars in the dust. It's a great city car!

Salesperson Lewis respected my opinion and listen attentively, no pressure. I had bought brand new car 4x this is my 5th time and it is all the best. He knows every detail of the car and let you choose what is best for you and your family. The star is only 5 for highest he deserve 6. I am an RN and Real Estate Agent, i do sales too but Lewis is superb. Very clear and direct to the point. I will buy again when time comes.

Too soon to tell as we've just purchased the car, but at this point the car feels solid and drives well, with good acceleration. Visibility is good. A bit tight in the cockpit with limited storage. Should prove to be excellent around town and on shorter (150 miles) trips or less. Looking forward to driving this car and not having to stop at gas stations!

Great Around Town Car
by GoodTimesMN from St. Paul, MN
February 24, 2019

After about 40000 miles, it still performs like it did when I got it at 8000 miles. It accelerates from a stop strongly and handles well. The only issue I've had is some squeaking from the front suspension when the weather is cold. It still has about 90 percent of its original driving range. On sub-zero (Fahrenheit) days, the range goes to about 60 percent of what it has on an 80 degree day. Then, I wouldn't trust it to go any further than 35 miles on a full charge.

I love the car so much, I purchased it from this horrible dealership (Anderson Nissan of Asheville) despite the way I was treated. It's a very fun car to drive. I don't ever want to own an internal combustion engine car again.
