My son and I live in the Washington, DC area. We were in the market for a Mitsubishi Eclipse, and searched within a 50 mile radious, then a 100 mile radius---and continued to broaden our search as we weren't finding one we were completely satisfied with. I even explored the possibility of buying from a distant dealer and having the car shipped, though we really wanted to see the car and drive it. Finally, my son searched "Auto Tempest" and they showed a beautiful Eclipse, on "Cars.com". It looked great in the listing, and on the dealer's website. The no-haggle price was already competitive, a really strong value for the year, model, trim level, mileage, condition. I called Prime Auto, and the owner, Andrei, answered. To make a long story short, his no B.S. way of answering my questions, providing information, and explaining his dealership purchase policies convinced me that this was the right place to buy a car, even though it was a good six-hour drive from our part of Virginia to his location in Connecticut. Still, we trusted Andrei and felt good about the car. My son and I made a weekend of it----took a break for dinner in Pennsylvania, stopped for the night in New Jersey, and got to Prime Auto right after they opened, Saturday morning. My son test drove the car---it was everything we hoped it would be. And Andrei was polite, friendly and very well versed in doing the paperwork for us, so that we could easily register the car when we got back home. I have to say, his dealership was clean and organized, the cars, SUVs/Crossovers and trucks on his lot all looked to be in nice condition, cleaned and detailed, and priced to sell. He had a good working knowledge of car maintenance and repair, and it seems to me that the inventory is hand-picked vehicles he can stand behind---cars he would want to own himself, or have his friends and family drive. We couldn't have been happier with how we were treated by Andrei. The new car successfully made the long trip home, and sailed through the safety and emissions inspections we needed to have done to register it. His documentation/title was in good order and I was in and out of our DMV in record time, with a Virginia title in hand. The car has been doing great in the time we've had it. I have to say, this experience taught me that sometimes it's worth the extra effort when making an important purchase decision. Thank you, Prime Auto, LLC.
