THE QUICK SUMMARY is . . . if you???re looking to buy a midsize car in the 25K to 32K price range, you can NOT do better than a Hyundai Sonata Limited. It is a ???full blown??? LUXURY car, with a truly affordable price tag. And, if you live in the NYC (area) you can NOT do better than, Mr. Philip Robinson @ Star Hyundai, Northern Blvd. Bayside, NY AND NOW . . . THE DETAILS: We purchased our third Hyundai Sonata (two for us, one for our daughter), a 2018 Sonata Limited, on Oct.23rd. 2018. Here???s our buying experience. The car (same as our 2015 Sonata was) is ???as close to perfect??? as a car can be. In three years of ownership of that 2015 model, we had ZERO out-of-pocket repair expenses, and only went into the shop for regular vehicle maintenance. Three cars into the Hyundai Sonata brand, I still believe that this particular car, THE Sonata Limited, is truly an ???affordable luxury car???. I say that because, after having done my homework (hours and hours of internet research homework), plus dealer visits, and test drives of (comparably) priced cars in it???s (category) price range ($25 - $32K), dollar-for-dollar, feature-for-feature, the Sonata Limited wins out (over the Toyota Camry, Subaru Legacy, Honda Accord, Nissan Ultima, Ford Fusion and Chevy Malibu. And . . . BTW - I test drove, and test priced (EVERY) one of those cars! EVERY ONE! My (very well researched) conclusion is . . . to get the ???full list??? of features/options that I have in my 2018 Sonata ???Limited??? . . . you would have to buy a $35K to $45K ???full size???, (moderately priced) car, or a $45K to $75K luxury (status) vehicle. Take my word for it, I did the homework for you ! Then too, there is the UNBEATABLE five year/60K mile warranty, that is ONLY offered by Hyundai and Kia. And . . only . . means ONLY! So, if you lease your vehicle for 36 to 42 months, you will pay ZERO dollars in (covered) repairs ??? for the ENTIRE term of your lease! ZERO! Lastly: About our dealer: We went back to Philip Robinson of Star Hyundai, Bayside, NY because he is truly a ???trustworthy??? sales person, and a ???heck-of-a-nice-guy???. For the third time now, he has made the whole (arduous and intimidating) process of new car buying, and lease return . . . seamless and painless! He even took care of ALL the details of registering the new vehicle and transitioning the insurance from our old Sonata to this new one! We came in on a Friday afternoon, and by the following Monday night, our 2018 Sonata Limited was ???ready for pick-up??? ! I had spent months searching for the perfect car for me. I narrowed my search to a 2006-2008 Audi S4 Avant. I was giving the runaround by several independent dealerships that had the vehicle I was interested in. Finally came across a beautiful Deep Sea Blue Pearl S4 Avant 6speed Manual transmission at New Country. I called to speak with someone to make sure the vehicle was still available as it was listed $3,000 less the most of the other ones I had come across. Steve Meliti answered and gave me all the info I needed. We had several phone conversations and texts and he had always been prompt in returning my calls and messages. I'm from out of state (Delaware) so I drove up to New Country after taking a half day off of work to drive 3 hours in the rain to test drive the vehicle. I was greeting by Steve and he was just as friendly in person as he was over the phone. I fell in love with the car and we started the paperwork process after I road tested the vehicle. I picked up the vehicle that same weekend. The entire process was really painless. I work in the industry for the past 15 years and this was a very enjoyable experience for me. Bought it new in Oct 2011, fantastic in snow, I live in a hilly area of PA and still get 28 mpg local and 33 mpg on trips, only issue I had with it was had to replace front wheel bearing, which i did myself. Takata air bag issue was fixed promptly by dealer, very satisfied with car and dealer, Minooka Subaru Moosic PA.

Hello, Because of the conditions of our roads in Westchester I was looking for a car that could keep up with the latest "pot holes". When I asked around one place and name kept coming up on a consistent basis. Everyone said to go to Stamford Subaru. When I did go I was introduced to Robert Fuch, and boy was I glad I spoke to him. He did not pressure me or my family in any way, and his professionalism is top notch. He takes his time and tries to understand your needs and what you expect from the car. He is a wonderful person to know and to have dealt with. Yes his recommendation on which type of car for my family and me was 100% dead on. We have already taken one mini-vacation (3 days) in the car and it drove and handled the road like a dream, just like he said it would. I am looking forward to take a 2-week driving vacation in 8 weeks in the car. If you are looking for a car and asked me whom I would buy my next car from I would not hesitate to say STAMFORD SUBARU and see ROBERT FUCH! I have 2-pinched nerves in the center of my back so a car ride anywhere is a new degree of pain. I explained the type of ride my back needs, the type of family car we need and he suggested and explained to me what type of car I should try. I suggested another car and he told me why that car would not be a good choice, but said we would try both cars. The ride was several left and rights, and over some bumpy roads.... even 2 potholes, and you know what? NO PAIN! It was the first ride I took that did not require a painkiller when I got out. I was so comfortable in that car that I did not want to try the other car. Since I did not want to test-drive the other car he suggested to just sitting in the other car in the show room to feel the difference on my back. Needless to say he was 100% dead on and I am very happy with my new car.

The Subaru Legacy is an excellent vehicle. Subaru has nailed the practicality formula with this vehicle. It is large inside, gets excellent fuel economy, has strong mechanical components (engine, trans, AWD system), and is a perfect family vehicle, though the engine is lacking in power. However, and this is a big, however, the Subarus are NOT built for your comfort. The seats are comfortable enough, as is the ride comfort, but the lack of refinement is alarming. The vehicle is loud, brash, and has little concern for luxury. The interior trim is cheap plastic and rough to the touch. There is very little sound deadening, a decibel meter read 79 decibels at only 50 mph, unacceptable in modern vehicles. Reliability is something great to be concerned about, and Subaru offers an excellent package for reliability and practicality, however, the lack of concern for refinement and quality engineering, especially in todays market, is bad enough to make me sell the car. In a modern market, reliability is something that can be found in most vehicles, but modern interiors have improved far past where Subaru is currently. Want reliability, get a Toyota. Need AWD, get a Toyota RAV4. Your comfortable bottom will thank you for it.

This newly-opened Subaru dealership is DEFINITELY the one to go to if you are looking to buy a Subaru. The staff has set out to change the paradigm of car buying/selling, and have done away with all of the superfluous nonsense that one normally has to deal with in order to finally come to an agreement on the terms. They bottom line it for you without the back and forth hassle of taking trips to the ???back office??? (that doesn???t exist) to speak with a manager (who actually went home 4 hours ago). They truly have changed the experience for their customers. Fair. Honest. REAL. Three words one NEVER commonly uses to describe a car salesman, or the dealership for which he/she works. But it's true. I leased my new 2019 Legacy from them, and they REALLY took care of me. I don't care where you live - this dealership is worth the trip. And once you experience what it's like to buy/lease a car with this professional, motivated, and innovative young staff, you will not likely want to shop anywhere else. They kept every promise they made, didn't try to sell me something I didn't want (or need), and answered every question I had. A special shout out to Michael Dymnicki for all that he did to help us, and for knowing us BY NAME whenever we stopped in to see if my car was on the lot yet. He was just so, so nice. Thanks, Mike! And another thank you to Nino Tiburzi (sorry if I spelled it wrong) for making the process so much less painful, and for keeping all of your promises to me. Thanks Nino! I really enjoy almost everything about the car. It drives well, good features, good mileage for AWD. I wish the body was not so low to the ground ( easy to scrape on curbs etc ) but I want a sedan and it seems all sedans now are low like this one nowadays.

Legacy issues

I drove this 15 Legacy Premium for a year now, bought it certified used, with 60000 miles on it, I put 20000 in one year and had 3 major brake downs with the car: 1) oil seals were leaking and needed replaced 2) transmission valve body needed replacement Both luckily were covered by warranty 3) starter was loose and needed to be re tighten that was not covered by warranty Other than that the car does give good gas mileage, drives well, and has good features. I’m glad I had the certified used but I can’t imagine buying this car with no warranty

Well, I had another chance to use this dealership and I must say, Grand Prix's motto "We will satisfy you" definitely applies here. Unfortunately, our new Subaru Legacy, which me and my mom love, was recalled with about 51,000-52,000 2016-2017 Legacy/Outback models due to a possible problem with the steering problem. Unfortunately, this meant that my car would have to go into the dealership for service in order to fix it. Thankfully, I found Subaru of North America very proactive in getting information about the recall out there to the customers and at least I knew that Grand Prix would help me, as I had previous experience there when I shopped for our Legacy 3.6R Limited and found it to be an excellent dealership. Thankfully, this carried over to the service department, where a friendly and helpful representative was able to get me an appointment two days after the recall went out at 7:30AM, get me a loaner car (ended up being a rental from Hertz paid by Subaru, as the dealer ran out of loaners), and also have my car towed to the dealership two days before, as Subaru advised owners not to drive it. When I arrived at the dealership, I was greeted by a gentleman named Kevin, who was helpful and pointed me in the right direction to my Service Advisor, Steve Shoum. I found him to be excellent and better than the Service Advisor who helped us at the luxury car dealership where we serviced our former luxury car, as we found Steve to be very friendly, knowledgeable about cars, and able to speak to the customer without making them feel stupid or being snarky, like at the dealership where we serviced our previous car. While I did have to wait a bit as Hertz in Hicksville did not open until 9:00AM and they needed to pick me up, as Grand Prix ran out of loaners due to the recall, things were still fine, as I found the service center to be very nice, as it looked upscale and delivered on being somewhat upscale, with many plush and comfortable chairs, large screen TVs, nice restrooms, free wifi, plenty of literature, and a very good selection of complimentary food and beverages, like bagels and all of the fixings, coffee, soft drinks, and fresh fruit. Throughout the process, I found all of the employees other than Steve who I have dealt with previously in the sales department, like Vinny Ortolani, the General Sales Manager who came by to say hi to all of the customers and chat, Emily, another Service Advisor, and all of the other employees to be very warm and efficient, which was fantastic! My car was at the service center for a week, as the part for the steering column was on back order and they wanted to inspect the car, but Steve continued to keep me updated throughout, which contrasts to our previous Service Advisor at the luxury car dealership, who left us in the dark and made it hard to call him, as we usually got his voicemail when we called the dealer. Also, he rarely called us with updates. Grand Prix also proved to be very accommodating, as Taylor, the representative in the Sales Department, was very helpful as she had my car wait in front of the Sales Department as I had to pick up my car a little after hours due to work. This was appreciated, as I feel like Grand Prix understands not everyone operates on their schedule. There was one minor hiccup in the experience, as the car was kind of dirty when we got it back, but it was resolved perfectly after we complained, as Dan Ross, the General Manager of the dealership, was understanding and wanted to make sure we we satisfied, as he offered us two vouchers to the Hicksville Car Wash, which was appreciated. Overall, I thought that Grand Prix's Service Department was excellent, as it put where we took our luxury car to shame thanks to their fantastic service and I would definitely recommend Grand Prix when I need to service my Legacy!

I like the Legacy and it’s safety features. It was comfortable and roomy. AWD was good in snow and easy to drive. It also has some nice features like the Bluetooth, a CD player and cruise control. Backup camera was also a plus.

My husband and I recently purchased a 2016 Subaru Legacy at Subaru Stamford. My husband had done lots of comparative shopping and they were clearly the most competitive. (We did well with a trade in, too) Jeremiah was excellent to work with- he's knowledgeable, easygoing, not pushy and overall great. Very customer oriented both in person and later on the phone for a little technical support. We are totally satisfied! Also, there was an associate in the showroom, I wish I knew his name. I love this car!! Never having owned or been in a Subaru before, i have always loved the idea of full time All Wheel Drive!! This car delivers on that, the handling in snow, rain or even dry road conditions is way different from other vehicles and you can feel it while steering! The interior is amazing, layed out with enough room to feel comfortable, in all seats...even in the back (others have told me.) The layout of controls and the general interface of the car is great, once situated, you will feel comfortable with everything within reach!! Always being at the top of the game in safety, i feel more then relaxed in my Subaru!! Knowning that i can pretty much handle anything that might happen, from possible hazardous drivers or road conditions. Always wanting a Subaru and finally getting one, has made driving a completely different experience...i have used this car several times to travel long distances and it is amazingly comfortable, with the lumbar support the seats provide, as well as general comfort of the leather seats. Excellent car all around!!!

Plenty of head room and leg room front and back. I like how I can sit up higher as the driver. The windows give great visualization along with awesome safety features. The AWD gets me everywhere during MN winters.i feel very safe driving my Subaru!

Please note the 2018 Explorer Sport I recently leased through Hassett is the 4th vehicle I've obtained through your dealership within the past decade. The first vehicle I purchased outright and the last three vehicles were leased. The sales rep for the past two vehicles I've leased has been Mike Scannello. With the past two transactions Mike was extremely professional, courteous, knowledgeable and friendly which made each transaction go extremely well and very smoothly. I originally stopped in to speak with Mike in regards to leasing a new vehicle earlier in October. When I returned on October 28th Mike knew exactly which vehicle and options I was interested in and he offered me several vehicles with different color combinations to choose from. To update my previous review I had my first oil change and service since buying my 2015 Sedona. Its hard to believe it has been almost 3 months. My experience at Huntington Kia was once again exceptional. Joanys Santiago in service is wonderful to work with!! I was so impressed she remembered me when I made my appointment. She was able to get me in quickly with an appointment that was convenient for me. When we arrived she came right out and I told her about two very minor issues I wanted looked at while there and both were resolved when we left. While waiting they have coffee in the waiting area with a nice tv and comfortable chairs. Mike the service manager stopped to say good morning to my dad and I. I really can't say enough about Huntington Kia. What impresses me most is how much they continue to offer exceptional customer service even after you purchase a vehicle from them! The 30 minute drive each way is time well spent for me knowing that I am going to receive such great customer service and honesty about what my van needs!! The car wash down the road that they use does a great job to! Thank-you Joanys and Huntington Kia for such a positive service experience! See you in another 3k miles!

Talk about a sleek car with available iSight camera system that helps ensure the safety of everyone in the vehicle. Comes with adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist. Automatic braking to avoid front end collion. Reverse camera with automatic braking and sensors to alert you of oncoming objects usually not in your immediate view when reversing. The day time running lamps are the sharpest looking thing on the road, I prefer them over my BMW LED day time running lamps. In terms of comfort you have all premium leather heated seats with a wood grain front panel that gives off a modern style. Steering wheel paddle shifters with AWD give you superb control. Keyless entry and push to start engine means you can quickly get in and go! Has the new shark fin antenna that flows with the vehicle. Automatic on/off headlamps and awesome fog lamps that individually turn on when making a turn to increase your visibility of the immediate low ground road which allows you to dodge every pothole.

This was the first enjoyable car buying experience I've had in a long time. There was no pressure, like wolves coming at you the moment you walked in the door. My salesman, Joe Lucci was relaxed and professional, really knew the product well, and listened well to my questions. Ted Hanlon the sales manager, came over to make sure I was being handled properly and that all my questions were being addressed. After all my questions were answered and I took another test drive, I decided to purchase the car. The car is great! A Subaru Forester. I'm on the road all the time. My gas bill, for the same amount of driving went down from $500 a month to $175 - $250. The gas saving is paying the monthly loan amount. You get free oil changes for a year which is great and the dealership has a special process for oil changes. You don't have to make an appointment. You just show up. So far my experience has been really good with Grand Prix. I don't see why it shouldn't continue. I've receive a call to make sure all is well and I appreciate that. I would highly recommend both Subaru and Grand Prix.

This is my second vehicle purchased from Vroom in the last 12 months, and I can't imagine ever buying a used car from a brick-and-mortar dealership again. This car handles snow with fun! Basically it handles like a charm and there is nothing I would change. I have the Limited w/ Eyesight which I highly recommend. The downside are the HVAC controls. They are not intuitive at all and I find I have to take my eyes off the roads to make simple adjustments. The screen also reflects the sunlight and can be difficult to see at times. Comfort is excellent, front and back, and ingress/egress is great for folks w/o arthritis. Trunk space is also a plus.
