2021 Subaru Outback review
So I bought a ‘21 Outback premium with 30k miles and have already put 6K more on it. Here is my honest review: if you want a fast car don’t get the 2.5 non turbo- that being said it is adequate for myself and get great gas mileage. The interior is good- I have the spec with cloth heated seats and they are comfortable and the cabin feels nice- has some cheap parts but I knew what I was buying. The infotainment is frustrating at times- auto start stop is a pain in the butt- but the infotainment itself isn’t bad with good sound and good responsiveness. The apple CarPlay will lag and be finicky at times but nothing terrible. As for drive quality it is a smooth ride and I don’t have any real complaints yet. Like I had mentioned if you want a car that is going to be fast- this engine and transmission will not do that for you. Overall I am happy so far with my purchase and feel as though I made a sensible decision when choosing this over some of its competition (I was looking at the VW Tiguan and and Mazda cx5)

2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid review
I just bought my 2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid Limited about three weeks ago and it is my 6th Subaru purchase since 1998. I hope that speaks volumes in one sentence.There was nothing wrong with my 5th Subaru, a 2018 Crosstrek Premium, so, I gave it to my husband who had been driving a 2009 Honda Accord. When he made the suggestion that he was ready to let go of his Honda and move into the world of cars with technology, he felt my Crosstrek would be a good bridge, plus he knew the prior owner and how well she took care of the car. :-) So, what is wonderful about the 2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid is my transition to the upgraded technology - it has been seamless as far as learning the new features on the digital pad with an almost 12 inch screen! The interior is larger with excellent visibility and the expanded cargo space for my travelling needs. Learning about Hybrid technology and the eco-friendly use of the electric battery and and gas engine has been a very positive with a comfortable learning curve. Just starting the car is a humming experience. The Limited trim features of the Forester Hybrid includes an elevated standard with all leather interior, heated seats in front, personal AC/heating controls for each seating area in front and back. The eyesight technology has improved in the 8 years I have been driving my 2018 Crosstrek ;and I still enjoy all the lights that indicate my lateral blind spots, the larger screen to see my rear view camera when backing up, keyless entry and ignition (push button starter) all easy to use and manage. Finally, what helped me the most in making my decision to purchase besides giving my Crosstrek in excellent condition to my husband, was a change in dealerships by moving to one much closer to our home. My sales consultant was outstanding in his knowledge in sharing the various Forester models as well as his manner of conveying his expertise in a very friendly and joyful manner. In this case the reliability of the Subaru brand and the human factor highlighting all its best qualities led me to a wonderful purchasing experience on Nov. 25, 2025..

2024 Subaru Impreza review
Bought the car 3-4 weeks ago after 16 years with Nissans, and this is heads and tails above the Nissan, and i loved my Sentra's But the body lines are better on the Impreza, i like the Hatchback over the sedan, i have the base model and frankly i prefer the 2 screens over the 1 huge one, i do wish they had the android play wireless in the base but i still have it, just have to plug in, People say the 2.0 boxer is slow, they never owned a 1.8 sentra lol, this car feels smoother, it is a tad noisier on the highway but a better ride over all, as to dependability full discloser i was once a Subaru mechanic at a dealership, but always assumed i couldn't afford a subaru and i was wrong, but they are as if not more dependable than a Toyota and a lot less money.

2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid review
I purchased a new 2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid Touring trim, and so far - with one minor annoyance - I love this car. The ride is very composed, much quieter than previous Foresters, and the top trim has all the bells and whistles. The smooth adaptive cruise control, coupled with automatic lane centering, makes for an exceptionally stress free driving experience. The switch between hybrid (EV) mode and the gas engine is seamless and imperceptible. I know that some have criticized the Forester for being “underpowered”, but the extra horsepower provided by the hybrid system, and the tweaks Subaru made to the low end torque provides all the power you need for everyday driving. The interior is super roomy, the seats are comfortable with lots of adjustments, and the facial recognition feature on the Touring trim - which recognizes saved drivers - magically adjusts the mirrors and the seat to preset positions for each saved driver. The only annoyance is that on the top Touring trim you get a smart rear view mirror which allows you to switch from the conventional mirror to the camera view. This comes super in handy when you have the car packed to the brim and you can’t see out using the conventional mirror. However, this super duper camera rear view mirror doesn’t have the garage door opener buttons. The fact that the top line Forester lacks such a basic amenity as programmable garage door buttons is baffling. Now, I fully recognize this is most definitely a “first world problem” and I can certainly live with my garage door remote clipped to the sun visor, but this seems to be a glaring oversight for a top end trim. That said, I would absolutely buy this car and this trim again. Highly recommended!

2023 Subaru Ascent review
I recently traded in my 2022 Ascent for a similar 2023 model. The 2022 model had brakes issues/noises right from the beginning of ownership. Subaru gave me a great deal on the 2023 model. A number of improvement were found on the 2023 model. Obvious one is the exterior styling with new front grille, headlights and taillights. Interior improvements include updated Eyesight, quieter ride, better steering and brakes, larger multimedia screen including front and backup camera screens, driver profile system. A few other tweaks here and there, making the 2023 Ascent Touring a decent and very safe SUV. Not necessarily sporty or thrilling but perfect vehicle for commuting in town and long road trips.

2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid review
I have only owned this car about a month now, but I really like driving it and I am very glad I bought it. I just wish it had an option to place a spare tire somewhere, but other than that, which is important, I do like it and recommend it to others. I hope the tradeoff of supposedly getting more mileage is worth not having a spare tire.

In February 2010, on my way to work, my 2001 Subaru Outback broke down. I had a tow truck haul it and me to #1 Cochran Subaru in Monroeville. Once the mechanic checked it over, I was told that it would cost a lot of money to have it repaired. I had a choice to make. I loved my "Crocodile Dundee" Subaru Outback and didnt want to let it go!!! After talking with my sister-in-law, a friend, and the Service Technicians, I made the decision to buy a new car. The Service Technicians were so nice. I couldn't stop crying, so they bought me lunch and checked in on me throughout the day to make sure that I was doing okay. That's how I came to own a 2010 Subaru Forester. Two Saturdays ago my check engine light, cruise control light, and another light came on. I raced to #1 Cochran Subaru and the Service Technician, Cheyne Brooks, checked it out and said it was okay until he could get me in and have a loaner car ready for me. Yesterday, Monday, October 25, 2022, was the day for me to take my car in to get it checked out. Before I left in my loaner car, a 2022 Forester, I went in to talk to a sales person that I had met months ago, Jamie Bergamasco. I met Jamie when I had stopped in to see if I could get a look at the new Outback Wilderness. I did get to see one and the price tag!!! Jamie remembered me and my name from that day many months ago. I had decided to be proactive regarding my car, rather than reactive. We sat down and talked for awhile. I explained what I needed and why. He listened to me and took a lot of notes. About an hour later, Cheyne called to tell me what was wrong with my car. I listened to him, but I didn't hear what he was saying. What I heard was that it was going to cost me $820.00 then and then a couple of months later I would have to pay around $920.00 for the 150,000 mile maintenance service. After many conversations with my sister-in-law, talking through my options, I decided that the best course of action was to buy a new car. I went back to talk with Jamie regarding my decision. He took the rest of the day helping me to find the right used car for my needs. Jamie made a very stressful process for me less stressful, for which I will always be grateful. I ended up buying a 2018 Quartz Blue Pearl Subaru Forester. I want to thank Cheyne Brooks, a master Service Technician, for all of his assistance on Monday and for all the previous years (and all the coming years). Cheyne, you are the best!!! I want to thank and recommend Jamie Bergamasco, Sales Person Extraordinaire, for his dedication to his job. 2023 Subaru Ascent review
This is my 4th Subaru and my 2nd Ascent. Overall it is a superb vehicle with minor issues in my view. The Driver Monitoring function is basically annoying. Either it disables itself or doesn’t alert at all (I’m always wearing sunglasses). The infotainment screen, at boot up, is agonizingly slow with some improvement after a couple of minutes. I assume that it is a processor issue. The front camera switch is in an awkward position (on the center console). It should be on the steering wheel or an icon on the screen. Acceleration is very good, brakes and steering as well. It is very quiet. Visibility is outstanding. All of the safety features are major pluses. Seats are very comfortable.

2025 Subaru Crosstrek review
I love my crosstrek limited.I only have 2 complaints but it not really the car its my prefrence. I have always had cars that the doors locked automatically when you left it as long as you had the key.The cross trek doesnt have that and it drives me insane.I am forever forgetting to lock it by the door handle or key fob.My second complaint is it has heated everything except the steering wheel.I like that in the winter but other than that its a great car so far.I have only had it a month so Im not sure how it handles in the snow yet.

2016 Subaru Impreza review
I love my car. 5 speed with 20k miles. Ive put on another 100k. I have taken this little AWD car places most people dont drive their 4x4’s. But I am meticulous about maintenance. I’ve never had a single issue with anything other than a thermostat replacement and A/C recharge. With the manual I don’t have to worry about a crap cvt. The first clutch lasted 118,000 miles. The only issue was the trust bearing, the clutch was still good. You cant beat a manual AWD that gets 30+ mpg IMO. Take care of the car and it will take care of you.

2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid review
I just bought my 2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid Limited about three weeks ago and it is my 6th Subaru purchase since 1998. I hope that speaks volumes in one sentence.There was nothing wrong with my 5th Subaru, a 2018 Crosstrek Premium, so, I gave it to my husband who had been driving a 2009 Honda Accord. When he made the suggestion that he was ready to let go of his Honda and move into the world of cars with technology, he felt my Crosstrek would be a good bridge, plus he knew the prior owner and how well she took care of the car. :-) So, what is wonderful about the 2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid is my transition to the upgraded technology - it has been seamless as far as learning the new features on the digital pad with an almost 12 inch screen! The interior is larger with excellent visibility and the expanded cargo space for my travelling needs. Learning about Hybrid technology and the eco-friendly use of the electric battery and and gas engine has been a very positive with a comfortable learning curve. Just starting the car is a humming experience. The Limited trim features of the Forester Hybrid includes an elevated standard with all leather interior, heated seats in front, personal AC/heating controls for each seating area in front and back. The eyesight technology has improved in the 8 years I have been driving my 2018 Crosstrek ;and I still enjoy all the lights that indicate my lateral blind spots, the larger screen to see my rear view camera when backing up, keyless entry and ignition (push button starter) all easy to use and manage. Finally, what helped me the most in making my decision to purchase besides giving my Crosstrek in excellent condition to my husband, was a change in dealerships by moving to one much closer to our home. My sales consultant was outstanding in his knowledge in sharing the various Forester models as well as his manner of conveying his expertise in a very friendly and joyful manner. In this case the reliability of the Subaru brand and the human factor highlighting all its best qualities led me to a wonderful purchasing experience on Nov. 25, 2025..

2021 Subaru Forester review
Other than battery replacement , car has been amazing ! 1 exception cup holders are located too far aft and require driver to look down to locate cup without removing eyes from road ! This issue has been partially addressed in later years by offsetting passengers holder slightly forward of drivers, but still awkward position ! both should be more forward nearer to dash !

2019 Subaru Ascent review
Have owned this 2019 Subaru ascent touring model for just over 2 years. Eye site feature is my fav. Car responds to changing traffic speeds automatically. great in heavy highway traffic. Front mid console is a bit awkward in placement, making it difficult to put two drinks in the designed locations. Its also awkward for the passenger to open the compartment because the fit is too close to the front seats. The lack of any dedicated sunglass compartment is frustrating. How about as part of the overhead info center?

2023 Subaru BRZ review
The Subaru BRZ is the most reasonable sport car with sufficient trunk room and a very small back. Seat, that can be folded down, if needed. The flat four cyl w/o turbo is enough. Power, 228 hp to make this a fun car to drive.
