2023 Cadillac Escalade review
Test drove several models and found that the Platinum Luxury model was fitting for me since I didn't like the sport models all blacked out. The 2023 model is very classy looking yet gives you the presidential feel from the inside. Worth the money to see it turns heads!

2025 Chevrolet Suburban review
OK, so I have owned 2 previous suburbans (2002 & 2013), so the 25 is an amazing upgrade to both of these! First of all, we do a lot of highway miles and the ride is simply amazing! It rides more like a luxury sedan than a truck. Since this is our primary vacation vehicle, we were careful to order 18 inch wheels, as they have a much smoother ride versus the larger ones. I also love all of the new cameras, which is a big help in tight situations. Also, the adaptive cruise control and lane assist make long road trips easier and safer as well. I also love the new exterior design features, particularly the front grill and the aerodynamic wings on either side of the rear window. I'm a bit surprised that those small design features have really updated and enhanced the look so much. The only real disappointment, so far, is the owners manual was really poorly done. Information is difficult to find, nonexistent and they even neglected to put in the required scheduled maintenance requirements (what were they thinking?). Overall, our first impressions on this vehicle have been superb and I would definitely recommend it to others who need a large family/vacation vehicle!

2025 Nissan Kicks review
Only had my 2025 kicks sv a few months , 4k miles but I like it a lot , look , style, drives well and it very comfortable. Love all the included safety features that other car companies charge extra for . Gas mileage is incredible. Gave it a 5 across the board, as my last 3 new cars have been a Colorado , for maverick and jeep wrangler. Cost , value of the redesign kicks is much better imop . Dash layout and how easy everything is to use .

2020 Lincoln Corsair review

2016 Toyota RAV4 review
We absolutely love our Rav 4! In fact, we’re planning on buying another one soon! Best vehicle we’ve ever owned except for the dealership we bought it from. We’re definitely buying from another dealership when we buy a new one. This one was used with pretty low miles but the dealership treated us horribly. The radio and entertainment system broke the first week after we bought it and the brakes started squealing. Also the tires they put on were the cheapest tires on the market so it’s not as good in the snow as it could be if it had good tires on it. Otherwise, it’s a phenomenal vehicle. Wouldn’t hesitate to buy one. We absolutely love it!!!

With about 3500 miles at this point, the Broco has been a great vehicle. Very reliable and enjoyable to drive. It is the Outer Banks trim package which provides a good level of options. The V6 provides good performance.

2024 GMC Yukon review
Purchased new in October 2024. Total miles driven 9,276. Just completed a 4,734.2 mile trip through 9 states. Just a pleasure to drive. My wife and I were on the road 16 days, with only 8 driving days, longest day was 674 miles. Average driving speed was about 72+ miles per hour. Seat comfort was amazing, no discomfort, great considering having 4 back surgeries. Very solid on the road with little or no driving fatigue. Performance was great. Of the total miles, about 500 were in town driving and 300 miles was in 4x4 in a snow storm coming across Northern Texas in April. Average MPG was 26.4 with my best 500mile drive at 33mpg. The diesel engine is very quiet requiring me to check the tach sometimes to be sure I had pressed the off button. Very quiet on the road as well. This is my first diesel and I would highly recommend it. Plenty of power, great fuel economy, quiet and very responsive when you need that quick acceleration. amazingly nimble for a big SUV. The adaptive cruise works great. My previous GMC was a 2009, 6.2L V8 Yukon XL. I drove that one 140K miles over 14 years with nothing but routine maintenance, a great vehicle as well. 2017 Dodge Durango review
Purchased my '17 DD GT with 25k miles on it. Have owned for around 4 years and now have 66k miles. Haven't had any issues. Routine maintenance only. Love the style and comfort. Interior seats are comfortable for long drives. Mine came with lifetime oil changes. Dealer support has been good (although we've only had oil changes so hard to say). I'm hoping this continues.

2020 Ford Expedition review
2020 Ford Expedition was purchased Feb 2020 (Springfield Va). I started having transmission problems Jun 2020 (15,000 miles). I informed my service representative what was occurring during an oil change and she informed that she would have a transmission specialist look at it. I was given the all ok and l departed, but my transmission is still producing a rattling sound and it buck's when l go from park to drive, also when it changes gears it slips from time yo time. This is my Fourth new Expedition and l have never experienced anything like this. I have made 4 request that they check my transmission and it has always come back (No problem). Oct 2022 l received a call from the service department stating that my truck hadn't been in over a year. I indicated to them that l was last in for an oil change with them, April 2022. Not only did they not have records showing my oil changes, but they didn't record any of my complaints about my transmission. I took my truck to AAMCO and they indicated that it was an electrical component ( brains of the trans) that was faulty and that l needed to return to Ford to repair. I attempted to have this resolved before my warranty expired and now l have no warranty on it because l'm at 95K miles on my truck. I know that there is a recall on 2015-2019 Ford Expedition for faulty transmission gear box. I'm experiencing the exact same issue with my transmission. Vin #1MJK1JT8LEA27351 Model: XLT Max Grey

I recently rented a 2023 Dodge Durango GT RWD for a summer-family vacation. I was impressed by its smooth ride, comfort, and overall refinement. The SUV felt economical yet luxurious, with surprisingly wide interior space. I particularly appreciated the third-row seating, which was designed thoughtfully to provide ample legroom without increasing the vehicle’s overall length. After this excellent experience with the rental car in Florida, I’ve decided to buy a new Durango GT Plus AWD. AS a U.S. Veteran, this is the third new vehicle I have purchased from Tri lakes. The salesman was excellent, courteous, answered questions quickly, always followed up and was very friendly to us. Honesty, courtesy and professional. Why is this important? We live 1.5 hours from the dealership, passing many other dealers who are just not up to the standards of what I consider a fair conversation and deal. We highly recommend them. So, this is not the easiest trek but produces the best results.
2025 Ford Explorer review
I purchased a 2025 Ford Explorer Platinum with the 3.0 liter 6 cyclinder. The car has lots of power and drives well. It has lots of acceleration and easily pulls a 5000 lb trailer. Things I like about the car: 1. Heated and cooled front massage seats. On a long drive the massage seats are fabulous! 2. Very good radio/sound system 3. Wireless Apple/Android connectivity 4. Lots of cargo space What I dislike: 1. Gas mileage between 19-22 mpg 2. Lane departure system annoying 3. Had a rattle noise in the front of the car at 9000 miles that the dealer could not find. At 11,000 miles, the rattle mysteriously went away. No idea what is going on here. 4. Sometimes when I open the rear hatch, the chime sounds loudly, The next time it does not sound at all. Wish I could just turn it off. ??
