CarMax Southwest Freeway review
I have visited this Carmax location several times over the years, but I?ve never actually bought from them. I appreciate their selection and no pressure process. If you prefer used cars like I do, it?s great to go to a Carmax and compare several makes and models in one place and get your trade appraised. This time around I worked with Harold Speights, who did a great job of finding the cars I was looking for. This is harder than it sounds - the cars don?t always get parked where they belong after a test drive, especially on a busy day, so he had to do a lot of walking around. We ended up unable to find the exact vehicles listed online, which is the reason this Carmax doesn?t get 5 stars. But Harold got me into the right things to try out. Once I narrowed down my interests after a few drives at a few different places, he texted me some stock numbers of cars at several Carmax locations with free transfers. I ended up preferring a different vehicle from a different dealer, but that?s not a knock on Carmax or Harold. Having the written appraisal in hand helped me get a better deal. If you are shopping for a used car, Carmax is a great place to go. Only thing I?d change is that Carmax could do a better job tracking where the vehicles are on the lot.
2025 Toyota Land Cruiser review
I purchased this car at the end of June 2025 and currently have only 5,000 miles on it. So far I love the Land Cruiser. The interior is very nice, but not especially plush. It is comfortable. The LC handles well, but I haven't taken it off-road, nor have I had to deal with difficult weather conditions. The drawbacks that I see are that it requires premium gas, does not get especially good gas mileage, and the gas tank is small for the size of the vehicle. I have no regrets in buying this vehicle.

2025 Toyota Land Cruiser review
Upgrading from a 5th gen 4runner and I couldn't have a better SUV. Plenty of hybrid power, very smooth transmission, great acceleration and super comfort features and excellent interiors. Premium package is well worth it, especially 360 camera, safety features, and ventilated leather seats. 5000 miles in two months and no regret at all. Toyota nailed it. If you are looking into an upgrade from a 4Runner and any similar midsize SUV, do not hesitate!

2019 GMC Yukon review
We drove two states over to McKenzie Buick GMC in Milton, FL to meet with Nick and make a purchase on our new Yukon Denali. Customer service was top notch. I read the reviews that were on CarGurus, which Is where I found a 2024 Toyota Camry SE. From the 1 star reviews, I was apprehensive about buying from Texan Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram. After buying the car, I don’t understand why those reviewers had such terrible experiences. Maybe it’s because I was so fortunate to have Jim Clipson as my sales consultant. He gave 100% customer service. He was patient when repeating things that my mother and I did not understand or forgot. The owners manual was missing, but Jim searched until he found one for me. That way, I didn’t have to buy it then get reimbursed from the dealership. Also, I don’t like the look of black hubcaps on black wheels. So Jim removed the plastic black hubcap covers. I asked for $1000 to be taken off the selling price. He tried very hard, but management wouldn’t approve it. However, they did reduce the price by a few hundred dollars. The financial consultant was very easy to work with as well. Jim gave me his personal cell phone number and provided excellent communication. The entire buying experience was pleasant. I love my “new” used car. The dealership is over an hour away from my home, but it was definitely worth the trip. For anyone shopping for a vehicle there, I strongly recommend you ask for Jim Clipson. He has many sales awards on his desk, and he deserves every one of them.
