2015 Toyota Avalon review
The AVALON LIMITED is an extremely reliable and comfortable sedan offering many extras, including leather seats, sunroof/moonroof, dual climate system, 3 different driving modes; ECO/Normal/Sport, and much more. Rarely take time to write social media reviews. However experience I had at the dealership this week is worth a review. I was not needing a car, but always keeping an eye out for the right deal. On Tuesday of last week I had called in the morning to ask for a sales rep I had purchased from before. What could have been a honest mistake, I was put into voicemail. Not hearing back all day, I decided to call one more time as I was ready to pull the trigger on a near identical vehicle much closer to my house. This is when I sales person "Nick B" answered the phone. He informed me it was an honest mistake that I was put to voicemail of a former sales rep and that he would be happy to help. Having held management positions, and worked for good people in my career, I have to say, the energy and hustle was top notch. I explained the situation at the competing dealership and Nick cut through all the garbage negotiation and sales tactics that the other dealer tried to use on me (not knowing my background). In a matter of 60 minutes I had 3 phone calls from Nick setting the parameters of the deal. The next morning I was greeted by a text to ask if I was coming in at lunch or dinner. The weather was terrible for a drive to Dayton, and I was so tempted to just spend a little more money and head closer to make my purchase. I could not do it. Nick's hustle deserved a visit to look at the car. I arrived around dinner time and Nick was waiting at the door to greet me. The car was pulled up and we were ready to deal. Nick was efficient in execution as he was in setting up the deal. From getting payoffs, to coordinating the shop to ready the vehicle, to working with finance and matching the trade of the other dealer. I had other sales people that you would sit in the dealer for multiple hours waiting to get through. Some of this compliment also goes to Matt S. in Finance. Copies, signatures, even took the time to get me a refund for my trade in Lexus Warranty that I was not going to use. Customer was first with both of these gentlemen, not at the expense of the Company, but to be seamless and professional. The last part of the evening came when I was signing the paperwork. Matt told me that the detail team was not able to finish my car at the late hour, but would be happy to do so over the weekend if I wanted to come back. As I was saying I just wanted the plastic off the floor and the mats in, Nick came in the office and said he already had it done while transferring my plates. Nick also did not forget another small detail I had emphasized to him at the outset. I travel a lot and have a laptop in my car. It is imperative that I have a privacy shield cover over the cargo area. To end my experience, Nick did not forget that request. Lexus no longer sells them in parts, something I noticed even with the GX back in 2020. So Nick had me drive into the garage out of the rain, helped me move my belongings to the new car, then took me up to the "lost and found". Again, not additional expense to the company, but more time for him. Nick at the late hour was going through every privacy cover with a measuring tape to get me squared away. We ended up not finding one, but how could I be disappointed with that effort. To anyone buying a car, I cannot guarantee your sales person will give the same experience, but there is no question that Nick was a professional and will have me back for my next car which is due in about another year. In a still tight labor market, it is tough to find employees like that.

2019 Toyota Avalon review
Have owned three Avalons . Wonderful vehicles! The current is a 2019 XLE. Comfortable, quiet and powerful. Difficult to enter, a too low clearance. Short and slim designers? Disappointed that the 2022 will be the last model year. Dumb move! A substitute replacement?

2019 Toyota Avalon review
Great car but my 2019 Toyota Avalon Hybrid Limited got 42.4 mpg when new but only gets 35 mpg now. I'm 75 y/o and drive the speed limit always. Average 35 to 40 miles per hour. Does anyone know why. Dealer is no help answering this question.

2019 Toyota Avalon review
I own a loaded 2019 touring that was purchased new from a dealership, here are some of my thought after nearly three years of ownership. The Avalon is exceptionally comfortable; A notable example is the seats which are wonderful supportive, and well bolstered. Design-wise the Avalon is modern and interesting from (almost) every angle, inside and out. The Avalon’s interior is well-designed with soft touch materials on all surfaces you’ll regularly touch. Upscale materials like aluminum mesh span the dash while perforated fabric and plush leatherette line everywhere else. The center console stack is ergonomic with physical buttons for everything: Excessive piano black plastic here is my only minor gripe. On the exterior, Avalon’s headlights are aggressively sculpted with daytime running lights that are distinctive. A futuristic, swoopy taillight features a lightbar-esk design that’s unlike anything else around. To address the massive, grill shaped, elephant in the room… The sophisticated exterior design of the car is marred by the immoderately large grill. Genuinely, my only issue with the car’s design anywhere is the grill: It’s frustrating that the grill is the ONLY, albeit massive, issue. The black mesh on touring trims is somewhat better looking as compared with the limited trim but it still shows it’s size from front views. Now moving on to thoughts on performance. I’ll be blunt, the Avalon is not sporty by any measure other than it’s looks; however, is speed what you really need? I personally brought the Avalon to have a comfortable, quiet, and reliable commuter car: this car is just that. I think that middling performance is an acceptable trade off for a creamy-smooth v6 engine that’s not needlessly loud anywhere along the rev range, and that is proven to outlast nearly everything else on the road. When it comes to value, it’s a tough sell for the higher trims (limited and touring). If you want a sporty large sedan, the charger or accord sport turbo is a better sports car; If you want a reliable and luxurious large sedan then the lexus es carries the lexus name for only a couple thousand more. I think the Avalon fills a niche for people who want more space, luxury, and style than something like the Camry, and don’t want to spend luxury car money on a well-equipped lexus es. Final thoughts: The Avalon is definitely not for everyone with it’s *ahem* “distinctive” styling but Avalon is the perfect balance of everything important to me in a car: Reliability, comfort, modern styling. If I total my car tomorrow, I’d probably buy another Avalon; though probably the xle trim the next time around.

2020 Toyota Avalon review
I have the sportier 2020 TRD and this is a flawless car (purchased a dealer car in '21 with 8k miles - I can prob sell it for nearly what I paid for it 4 years later). Roomy.. powerful relative to the price.. gas mileage is shocking.. routinely shows 31mpg on longer drives.. JBL sounds system.. People always asking me about it because of the TRD package. Looks great, drives great, Toyota reliability.. And now that they stopped making it, it's holding its value. If anyone wants a bullet proof car with a world class v-6 and a performance tune.. this is your car.

2019 Toyota Avalon review
This the 2nd avalon limited I have owned and I bought both "newly" used because of the low Miles and cost advantages. I have absolutely loved my 2019 Avalon Limited, it gets great gas mileage for a big roomy and comfortable vehicle, and came equipped with a lot of bells and whistles normally found on premium luxury cars. In my opinion, this car is by far a better "Value" than the Lexus ES models, yes, you can get the same features on the Lexus as you will find on the upper-end Avalons, but it gonna cost you a lot more. In making a decision to discontinue the Avalon line, Toyota has made a conscious decision to force those of us who love the Avalon to look at the Lexus ES 350 line in the future. So, it's gonna cost me more in the future to maintain the comfort level found on the Avalon. But, remember, Toyota owns both Lexus and Toyota.
