2024 Toyota RAV4 Prime review
Fun to drive; the electric motor provides great acceleration. The multimedia system can be a nuisance if you mainly want to listen to radio. Fit and finish are excellent.

2024 Toyota RAV4 Prime review
After years of diesel Mercedes use, this plug-in hybrid rav4 is mind blowing in comparison. 93mpg after 13,700 miles. I only put premium fuel in this car because i never know when i'll use the ice engine. 500 highway miles range with a full tank.

I purchased my RAV4 prime plug in a few weeks ago and I couldn’t be happier! The EV range is just enough to get me to work and back and the hybrid engine seems to sip gas. I was greeted right away by a helper who told me my service advisor, Alex, would be with me shortly. Alex came out in a few minutes and he introduced himself and escorted me to his office. Alex was courteous and efficient and understood what I wanted checked on my Prius before I take a 600-mile trip. He got me ride home with Lyft in 3 minutes! He texted me when my car was ready and when I arrived he saw me across the parking lot and greeted me by name. I was impressed that he remembered my name after only meeting me once. He told me two of my tires would need replacing soon but he didn't pressure me. I got home and decided that since I had 35,000 miles on these tires it was time for new tires. I tried calling the business where I bought my current tires (Wheel Works) and they never answered their phone and so I couldn't leave a message; I also tried to call Costco Tire Center and they never answered their phone. I texted Alex at Magnussen's and he gave me a quote and said he could give me an appointment tomorrow for new tires. I was happy to give him my business since I liked him and I didn't want to spend time trying to get quotes from places that don't even answer their phones. I was very happy with my service experience today.
2023 Toyota RAV4 Prime review
We had a totally electric Mustang Mach E which we traded for this car since the range and infrastructure both were not ideal. The Toyota RAV4 Prime is the best of both worlds since it is a plug-in hybrid and is the car I should have purchased originally. It gets between 44 - 50 miles on totally electric charge (for around home) and about 500 miles on a fill up of the gas tank (hybrid used on the highway). Pricing was NOT ideal as they added a "Market Adjustment" to the price so it was above MSRP.

This past weekend, I helped a close friend of mine purchase a 2017 Toyota Corolla LE Eco from Simon Dharmawan, one of the internet sales managers. My first impression of the dealership was that it was extremely well-maintained, with many offices for the finance managers to expedite the sales process for multiple customers. There is also a child-friendly entertainment area, as well as a stellar coffee machine with tons of touchscreen options. Simon was by far the lowest-pressure and most accomodating salesperson I have encountered in the car business (having worked in the industry for 2 years), and had great patience despite my cutthroat questions and desire to establish total transparency. My advice to prospective buyers would be to come in with your research in hand, ask for Simon, and prepare to fire away with questions until you're completely satisfied with making a decision. I thoroughly enjoyed the negiotations and would come again just to have fun.

Kevin Nguyen was pleasant, considerate, and very, very knowledgable about the Prius we purchased. It was extremely important to him that I (the primary person to drive the Prius) felt comfortable with the car, explaining as much as my brain could take in at one time. He not only sent me a tutorial but offered to help me in person at any time in the future. Mr. Reilly did his best to make us feel comfortable and was clear about our options for extra purchases. The finance manager (Nathan Casillas, I believe) did his job well, meaning he was quick and efficient and did everything possible to convince us to buy a warrantee. That was exhausting.
2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime review
The RAV4 Prime is a hybrid-electric vehicle with a bigger battery than the hybrid-electric version of the RAV4. It has Lots of power, all-wheel drive, decent handling along with versatile utility of the compact SUV. This is not an electric vehicle in that the gas engine will operate under certain conditions even though the 'electric mode' has been selected. That said, gasoline usage is reduced if 'electric mode' is used exclusively and the trip distance is less than 35 or 40 miles. My suggestion for Toyota (and anyone else building a "plug-in hybrid") is to increase the battery capacity to 60 miles of electric range. The range-extended electric 2nd Generation Chevy VOLT will deliver around 52 miles of electric range depending on driving and weather conditions and will nearly eliminate gasoline usage for most people. The VOLT electric-drive system is different from the TOYOTA hybrid-drive system. The VOLT will operate as an electric-drive vehicle until either the battery is depleted or the driver selects the "Hold" mode. The car then operates as a gasoline-hybrid-drive and reserves the battery charge for later use as a full-electric drive vehicle. The result of these two different drive systems is that the RAV4 Prime has given us an overall of 100 MPG verses the Gen2 VOLT of 164 MPG. Both have saved considerable gasoline. We recharge regularly at home on Level 1 or Level 2 and almost never 'top-off' at public charging sites. Both have been excellent vehicles with the RAV4 giving more carrying capacity with the trade off of requiring more fuel.

2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime review
High points: Extremely quick, versatile as an off road and ski car as well as classy for nights on the town. Unbelievable range as I have gotten over 50 miles electric equal to some older all electric cars. Low points: My SE model lacks fast charging. Tires squeak loudly at 5 miles per hour, handling when cornering not precise, some interior plastic cheap for a 50k car.
