2024 Toyota Prius Prime review
It's a fantastic vehicle, both inside and out. I get about 30-50 electric miles depending on whether I do freeway or side-street driving, what the outdoor temperature is, if I have AC on, etc. I get 50-60 mpg when the engine turns on. It gets to freeway speeds really fast in sport mode, but I normally stay on eco/normal mode - normal mode has more than enough power for my needs. Interior features lack the extra toys from the XSE and Premium trims, but I can live without them. Trunk space is adequate with the folding cover attached and only slightly better without it due to the sloped rear exterior. But I've never had a problem with trunk space since folding down the seats grants more than enough room for my needs. Cabin space is decent. No one in my family and friend group is over 182 cm tall so all of them can fit with ample head and leg room. I have no complaints with the handling, even at higher speeds. It's smooth, but outside noise does get a bit loud especially when the engine turns on. Charging is a tad over nine hours if using a standard 110v/120v L1 charger, and half that with a 220v/240v L2 charger. The Prius Prime is not built to handle DC charging, so don't bother with that. EV mode is good for up to 55 mph or so, and HV mode is good for speeds beyond that. The sweet spot speed for HV mode seems to be around 65-72 mph. Beyond that and efficiency takes a nosedive. The Prius Prime, or any plug-in hybrid (PHEV), isn't for everyone. It's the best of both worlds, but it's also the worst of both worlds. During EV mode, a PHEV is a less efficient battery electric vehicle (BEV) since it's carrying a heavy internal combustion engine (ICE) that isn't being used, along with all the other ICE components. It also has all the maintenance requirements of the standard HEV variant, unlike a true BEV. When the battery is depleted, a PHEV is a worse hybrid since it's carrying a big battery that isn't being used. Despite a PHEV's versatility between gasoline and electric usage, it isn't for everyone. It can run on gasoline only without ever charging the battery, but then you lose all the benefits of EV driving. You paid extra for the EV experience, so you might as well charge the battery. Final thoughts: the Prius Prime is a very good car, but only If you can charge at home. If not, then get the standard Prius since that one is an even more efficient hybrid.

2025 Toyota Prius review
There’s a lot of negative stuff in this review. Be that as it may, I’m happy with the car. Toyota revamped the Prius design for 2025. I was one of the few who liked the previous “space capsule” look - the new one looks a lot like a Tesla 3. It’s fine; not terribly distinctive, but sleek and attractive. I get compliments. They tweaked the mileage with this design, and I know exactly how: it’s smaller. I can’t reach into the rear seat footwell by putting my arm between the seat and the wall; zero room. I can’t rest my elbow on the window sill and place my hand along the top of the window; too short. There’s no glasses holder at the top of the windshield. (And there’s no rear-window wiper. Pretty annoying, but at highway speed the slipstream keeps it clear.) The center console requires that the driver be a contortionist if they hope to use it while driving; and the compartment itself is quite small. I often misjudge how to slip into a parking slot because I sit so much closer to the edge of the car than in previous Prii. All that said, I like it. Mileage is, indeed, good. The ride is comfy, though I’ve never owned a cushy car. I’ve never much liked the steering on the Prius (this is my third), and it feels vague and disconnected, but it’s serviceable. It’s low to the ground, and the driver’s position is low relative to the windows - first car I’ve ever needed a cushion to raise me up to where I could see well enough not to regularly be running over curbs in turns. I use *two* cushions! Never before. The complete suite of safety features is great. I believe that I (and others in the road) are safer for them. Connection with my iPhone is usually seamless. As with most cars, the multitude of computer options can be daunting and frustrating, but a conference with the manual and/or a search engine usually sets things right. Pick-up is actually pretty decent! I feared that my first Prius (2006 I think) would get me run over by a truck if I ever needed to scoot out of the way - very little scooting was available. That’s much better now. And unlike so many other people, I don’t really think about gas prices. On those exceptional trips (mostly downhill, I assume) when I get to my destination and read “Average mileage: 67 MPG” or even 82 rare occasions, I chuckle to myself.

I’m not typically one to write reviews, but my experience with CarMax has been so outstanding that I feel compelled to share. From start to finish, they’ve redefined my expectations for buying a vehicle. I found a car online that checked every box for me—low miles, all the specs I wanted, and fantastic photos that gave me confidence in its condition. The only catch? It was located at a CarMax dealership in Florida, while I’m in Nashville. For just $200, they shipped it to my local CarMax dealership. Knowing the worst-case scenario was losing that $200, I felt reassured to take the leap—and I’m so glad I did. Within just a few days, the car arrived. I had a trade-in—a mid-mileage VW Atlas in good condition—and to my surprise, CarMax offered me an amazing price. I’ve done my research, and they gave me a value that was very close to what I’d seen comparable models selling for, and significantly more than I owed. Needless to say, I accepted their offer with ease. As for my new (used) car, I was impressed by the comprehensive warranty options. The extended warranty they offer feels like an insurance policy: $200 deductible for coverage up to 150,000 miles. With my car’s mileage at around 50,000, this was a no-brainer. I’ve seen glowing reviews about the warranty online, and after my own experience, I can see why. Now here’s the part that truly sets CarMax apart—the post-purchase experience. The vehicle is used, so it’s impossible to catch every little thing during a quick test drive. Thankfully, CarMax provides a 90-day warranty and has a full-service garage. I’ve been back a few times for small fixes, like the gas door not working properly, tire monitor sensors, an alignment issue, and even replacing a rear entertainment system screen. Every single issue was handled promptly and professionally, leaving me with a car that feels brand new. Shoutout to Elvis in the service department! Not only did he remember my name when I returned, but he also ensured I had a free loaner car anytime my vehicle needed to stay overnight. The customer service I’ve received from him and the entire CarMax team has been nothing short of exceptional. This entire process has been so seamless that I can confidently say CarMax will be my first stop the next time I’m in the market for a car. I’ve purchased brand-new vehicles before and never felt this satisfied. CarMax has raised the bar for what car buying and ownership should feel like. If you’re on the fence about where to purchase your next vehicle, I can’t recommend CarMax enough. From great trade-in offers to their stellar warranty program and impeccable customer service, they’ve won me over as a fan for life. 2013 Toyota Prius c review
80,000 miles so far on my 2013 Prius C. My car has been hit twice and has come out of those repairs with zero issues, still feels like the car it was the day I bought it (purchased new from dealership). Incredible gas mileage. Only downside to this car is that it is not a quiet ride. I can really only use Bluetooth for calls if I’m driving around the city, as soon as I’m on the highway it’s too loud.

2018 Toyota Prius review
My previous car was a 2014 Prius. The 2018 has added safety features which are very valuable, & has even better mileage, and a very smooth drive --handles well. However, there is less trunk & glove box space, & it is more complicated to work some of the features, such as setting the clock. On the 2014, all I had to do was press the hr & min buttons. On the 2018, I had to watch a youtube a few times, & then it took me a few tries to reset the clock.

I have purchased several vehicles (3) from CarMax and plan to buy my next car from them too, as soon as I make up my mind which vehicle I want. They sell quality vehicles from my experience and go above and beyond for their customers. I especially like their new 30 day return policy. Last time I had a vehicle transferred from another store and was worried I'd have to buy it even if I didn't like it when it came in. No way- they assured me customer service was priority if I didn't want the car they didn't want me to buy it ! As it turned out, it was perfect for me, the price was fair and the service great. Reviews are very important when I'm going to buy anything, especially something that's as big of an investment as a vehicle. I don't understand how CarMax would not make all efforts to correct a problem. Do yourself a favor and give them a chance, my opinion, you won't be disappointed.
2025 Toyota Prius review
I recently traded in a 2013 Toyota Prius C for this car, a 2025 Prius LE AWD in guardian grey. I loved my old car so I was interested in sticking with the prius and I'm glad I did. They've upgraded this car in so many ways and it is truly fun to drive now. Pros: -Upgraded engine. This engine has more than double the power of the old engines and it makes a huge difference without hurting the fuel economy at all. It makes this car super fun to drive and it handles very well. -Improved styling. These cars don't look anything like the old priuses. They look so much sportier and overall better. I also really liked most of the color options they had. -Value and reliability. The new priuses provide better power combined with the same great fuel economy that prius has become known for. I regularly get 60 mpg. They also aren't very expensive comparatively. I also know that as long as I take care of it I will likely get at least 12 years out of this car like I did with my last prius. Cons: -Not a lot of headroom. Technically speaking, this car has comparable headroom with it's main competitor, the Honda Civic Hybrid, but with the design of the car (long and low) it feels like less. This isn't an issue for me but I can see how it would be an issue for others. -Decreased visibility. Again, because the car is long and low, the windows have slightly decreased visibility compared to earlier generations of this car. I think the safety features in this car more than make up for it so I don't really have an issue with it. -Cheaper materials. The plastic pieces in the interior of the car feel a little bit cheaper and flimsier than they did in my old prius. It's not enough to be a huge issue and the interior is well designed so I don't really notice it but there is a difference. However this is something I noticed in all of the cars that I tested so it's not limited to this model or brand. Overall, this is a great car and I'm very happy with it!

2020 Toyota Yaris Sedan review
Excellent, Great economical vehicle over 40 mpg All highway use.It's move's a little on a windy day,but still over 40mpg @68-70mph. It works great for me as i commute 155miles per day.

2015 Toyota Prius v review
I got the Prius V particularly because instead of an SUV or sporty crossover I wanted a bit more of a station wagon feel (not as big as a mini van) that would be long enough to put a bunk bed single mattress in the back (It is). I love the fuel economy and the extra size. I traded in my '06 Prius for this Prius V. I've only has it about 5 hours but think I'm going to love it! I love the Blizzard Pearl. Would have also been happy with Sea Glass Pearl....
