2024 Volvo XC60 Recharge Plug-In Hybrid review
The car has really nice performance and drives very nicely but a few quirks. First the manuals are only available digitally and in many cases it’s a complex game to find what you are looking for. The search function is not forgiving. In other cases the information is weak and missing key elements. Some settings are sticky (rain sensor for the wipers), others are not ( auto high-beams), with no rationale. The controls on the left side of the steering wheel are a mystery and the customization on the dash board view is either: show the map or don’t show the map ( which disappears when you shift into reverse). The sound controls for the radio are lacking: no fader or balance controls. Lastly, if you want your garage door opener controls integrated into the car, be prepared to shell out another $995.

2018 Volvo XC60 Recharge Plug-In Hybrid review
We purchased this vehicle to gain more space for our family than the 2016 S60 we'd been driving had provided. I had narrowed down my list of candidates to the BMW X3 M40i and the Volvo XC60 T8 Hybrid and I test drove both thoroughly. In my opinion, the Volvo was superior in every way across the board. There is a wow factor to every aspect of this vehicle, from the slick exterior styling to the quality of materials and craftsmanship inside to, especially, the unexpectedly peppy powertrain. It's fun, luxurious and spacious... everything we wanted and more!

2023 Volvo XC60 Recharge Plug-In Hybrid review
Works really well. Good power, great styling. Pros include 18 gal tank. Negs include odometer buried in menu system not on display. Same with switching modes. Had a knob on last car. Now buried in menus.

I really appreciated the no pressure sales process. The test drive area outside of the dealership was also a nice plus as i was able to size up the XC90 v XC60. I was also pleasantly surprised by the low pressure, accommodating feel we got from the finance officer. Much appreciated. The vehicle was perfectly staged for pickup and looked great. 2018 Volvo XC60 Recharge Plug-In Hybrid review
I needed a car as my son was taking mine to move to another state. This checked all boxes. So far I'm loving it! It is beautiful, comfortable, rides very nice. The only option I didn't get was the B&W. I'm not an audiophile. I did test drive the 2020 with it. Frankly, I think the standard stereo is very good. This was a big concern prior to purchase, but I'm not at all disappointed. I wanted the air suspension as we travel to Sedona and places like this and I wanted the clearance. We have a Jeep for real stuff, but I like the ability to get out of a jam. Also, it makes the ride of the larger tires smoother I think.

2022 Volvo XC60 Recharge Plug-In Hybrid review
Infotainment wasn't ready when I purchased the car. After approx 5 software updates in the first three months (mostly at the dealer), the car has been flawless. I now enjoy the Google interface very much, and love the car. I regularly get 45 miles e-range on easy highway drive, perfect for my commute. My car doesn't have air suspension, so the ride is arguably too firm for concrete pavement I have in my area. Could also be because of the curb rash-prone 20 inch wheels, I would choose an 18" wheel instead. Car materials and fit/finish are just superb, makes you feel special. It also makes driving my second car a chore :)

Service review. Brought in my car for a 10,000 (free!) service. Debbie Stack is my service advisor and she is fantastic. She scheduled a quick appointment and when there was something on my bumper she took the initiative to run it by the detail department and they fixed it! No surcharges, friendly service staff, nice waiting area with snacks and coffee. Receptionist was lovely and patiently helped me with the very fancy coffee machine. Car was done in 1.5 hours. Great experience at Don Beyer in Dulles. I drove about 4 hours from Roanoke to get the car I was looking for at a reasonable price. I might have bought it sight unseen, but have been burned by less truthful dealers in the past and wasn't willing to take the chance. On arrival I found exactly the car they had advertised in great condition. There weren't any scuffs or scratches that they were trying to obscure and there weren't any smells they were trying to perfume over. Within 30 minutes of getting to the dealership we had a deal. Everyone there was very friendly and professional. All car buying takes longer than I want it to, but they made it as comfortable and efficient as possible and I drove away happy. When the salesman Lonnell Bond found a beat up old coffee mug I'd accidentally left behind in my trade in vehicle, he promptly mailed it back to me! In the future I would buy a car sight unseen from Mr Bond and have him ship it to me. There are very few dealerships I would trust with that.

Everyone (sales, financing, service with an extensive COVID-19 clean, managers, etc.) were exceptional!
2022 Volvo XC60 Recharge Plug-In Hybrid review
Interesting to read the good and bad about XC60 Recharge Volvos. I have a 2022 extended range Inscription purchased May 2022 with 8,400 miles. To date it has been perfect. Three over the air software upgrades thus far. Everything works good including the Google info system. Dashboard mapping excellent. Bowers and Wilkins stereo great. It typically charges to 39 or 40 miles. All in town driving via EV. It’s a bit of a bother, but I’ve been able to average as high as 39 mpg on a 400 trip massaging the drive modes. Made a 600 mile one day trip to Vegas last year no problem with one gas stop. Plug-in cars are the way to go on long trips as EV charging woes continue (except Tesla). Very comfortable highly adjustable seats. Nice to have first three years of service prepaid. Stick it in power mode and it’s very quick. No wireless Car Play, but I’ve been OK with Google system plugging in Car Play if needed. There aren’t many plug-ins with this sort of range available which made it a good choice. Long positive history with Volvos.

2023 Volvo XC60 Recharge Plug-In Hybrid review
I love my volvo. I have one that is fully loaded, and it is so luxe and fun to drive. The turbo makes it literally zoomier than my husband's mustang, but it can also go all day without any gas at all if I need to use it in pure mode.

2023 Volvo XC60 Recharge Plug-In Hybrid review
We recently purchased a used XC60 plug-in and we love it thus far. It had 35k miles and is in perfect condition inside and out. A month of driving this far and have put in $35 in gas (premium). We are using the 110v charging option which does take over 12 hours for a full recharge. But topping it off every night makes sense. Our utility bill looks like about $12 more with the charging - California. We are retired so our mileage does not contain commuting. The car is quiet especially on e-mode. Very smooth ride and quite peppy with the turbo charged 4 cylinder engine. Creature comforts galore but having to learn the ins and outs of the almost completely touchscreen environment. Map navigation is a breeze with voice command 100% effective. Seats and entry are great. We researched operating costs and Volvo does have high maintenance cost at the dealer. So we got an extended warranty on top of 2 years original remaining warranty. Only issue so far is the “secret” code to plugging and unplugging the charge cord. Need to lock and then unlock the car when inserting/removing the plug. And a warning - there is no spare wheel. Pretty common with e-vehicles as a weight saver. The is a compressor with tire goo as the emergency backup. Pretty sure that needs replacement if used. Look at the tire service plan as an option. The assisted drive mode is growing on me. It keeps the car centered in the lane and uses as array of cameras to gauge conditions. A light hand on the wheel is how I use it. The main test was an erratic driver pulling into our lane and the car reacted quickly and safely to the situation. It will slow down in cruise control to the traffic ahead. This is a luxury vehicle and it drives and feels like one. We are highly impressed.

2022 Volvo XC60 Recharge Plug-In Hybrid review
I have owned 2 Volvo's and both have been amazing including the 22 XC60 PHEV. I once had to wait for a part for longer than I would have liked but I was in a service loaner that was an upgrade to my car so I'm not really complaining. Overall, the car is quick, great on gas when I'm not using Electric daily. It's comfortable, great to look at, it can tow small boats/campers and is great for a small family/couple. I couldn't have been happier, it was just what I needed before going all the way EV.

2018 Volvo XC60 Recharge Plug-In Hybrid review
I am very happy with my purchase. This is my first Volvo / luxury SUV. I love the comfort, acceleration, steering responsiveness, and the safety features. I work from home, my main driving is around town and a few long road trips to the mountians to visit family. I would have preferred better hybrid mileage but really for 98% of my use I am always driving in hybrid mode. I did get a rapid charger and am very happy with the charging time. I can do a full charge in about 2.5 hrs. I live in Rocky Mountain Region. Winter is coming and we will be ready.
