Carmax is turning the tide when it comes to purchasing vehicles. The best thing to do when you buy any car is to take it to another mechanic, and then bring it back to the place to be fixed within the warranty period. The Truck I purchased from them a year ago had a few issues but they did take care of it and I've not have any problems since. Carmax has set the bar high for purchasing returning and anything to do with cars. BRAVO!

2021 Chevrolet Bolt EV review
This is my first venture into EV ownership and the Bolt has exceeded expectations. Please know that I am 6'-10" tall and weigh 335 lbs. Studying specifications, I noted the quite large legroom and headroom dimensions for this car and ventured to the dealership to see if this was the case. My salesman looked skeptical as I approached the vehicle, and was even more surprised than I was at how well I fit! The Premier trim level is pretty amazing from a technology perspective, but some features of the interior finish seem rather odd to me. The driving range that I am experiencing is better than the specifications and I cannot fault the performance. I am looking forward to a long-term relationship with this peppy little car!

25K trouble free miles so far. Everybody picks on the 55 kW maximum charge speed, but the car is so efficient that it still adds 100 mi in ½ an hour at a DC station. Imagine a 200 HP Fit, and you've got the idea. Zero dollars on maintenance/repair.

2020 Ford Transit Connect review
Bought a brand new in 2019 Transit Connect, since then we only had to change the brakes and oil !!!! Love this van. Works fine for our company needs. The money that we saved on gas alone is priceless (27/28 MPG). I decided to write this now because this is the only Ford product that didn't disappoint us. Review: Living With 3 Chevy Bolt EVs for past 6 years Owning three Chevy Bolt EVs has been one of the smartest financial and practical decisions we’ve made. Each year, we’re saving $6,000–$7,000 combined on fuel and maintenance compared to when we drove gasoline cars. We get about 250-300 miles of range depending on heat and AC use. We bought them used around $20k each, had batteries replaced in 2020 so 100,000 mile warranty, can't beat it! Charging at Home Is Simple, either use 110v and charge overnight or upgrade 220v dryer plug We picked up a Level 2 home charger for about $150 on Amazon. Installing and running it is as simple as hooking up clothes dryer. The charger just uses a standard 240V outlet, and the energy demand is nothing unusual for a typical household. Pulls same amount of power as microwave or toaster oven. Real Cost to Charge Let’s run the math: Electric rate: $0.10 per kWh Efficiency: ~4.5 miles per kWh Monthly driving: 2,000 miles each car That works out to: 2,000 miles at 4.5miles/kW at 10cents/kW= $44/month So for just $44 a month, each Bolt drives 2,000 miles. Compare that to a gas car at 30 MPG and $3.50/gallon: 2,000 miles at 30MPG= 66.7gals times $3.50 = $233/month That’s nearly $190/month in savings per car, just on fuel. I found the vehicle I had been looking for online. A lower mileage Honda Ridgeline. The proprietor, Ehab had the foresight to offer Carfax for this vehicle. This afforded me the opportunity to view the history of the vehicle, which in review of said Carfax, found me interested. Calling, contact was made and the vehicle was discussed. I live in northern Nevada well over 500 miles from St Wannas car dealership I arraigned for my mechanically inclined nephew living in Riverside to venture to the dealership. There a test drive was afforded, questions were answered, and a deal was struck. Ehab expedited the paperwork which was valid with what was discussed and what was reported on Carfax. A test of faith was made wiring a substantial sum and soon I received the paperwork i.e. title etc. Shipping, another concern was coordinated by Ehab, and he paid an agreed amount/portion for this. Also, on his dime, he put new tires on it as well as a new battery. My nephew, who was my eyes looking at the vehicle stated Ehab was professional and true to his word about the condition of the vehicle. The vehicle was slow to get here but that was not his fault we had our biggest snowstorm of the year which delayed arrival. It got here in fine shape. While we were closing the deal I told him we missed the citrus fruit from the area, in that we lived down there years ago and knew what good citrus was all about. In the back of the vehicle were some oranges and comquats! In conclusion, I think his business at least in my experience, offers a service to the community for fair priced vehicles and amiable salesmanship. My nephew and his wife who gave the purchased vehicle his inspection said, yes, he would even consider St Wannas in the future, if he was looking for a quality used car. Respectfully DTW, Northern Nevada.
2015 Volvo V60 Cross Country review

2012 Acura TSX review
Own a 2012 tsx SE. The car is great,but have issues upon start up with a loud rattle lasting for about 2 seconds or so,oil starving the engines VTC (valve timing control). This could be an expensive fix without a warranty, for the cam would have to be changed, and I'm sure any good mechanic would just tell you to replace the timing chain as well, the chain guides, and hydraulic tensioner. I must as I've read on this issue its every model from 2004-2014. The main reason I've seen on this issues is lack of proper oil level kept or lack of oil changes. Over all so far a solid car.

2017 Volvo V60 review
I bought the car used from a non-Volvo dealer. I have not been driving much due to the pandemic, but a couple of computer glitches have arisen. I took the car into a Volvo dealer for service on the issue, thank goodness the car is still under warranty. The problem with the auto start-stop feature wasn't working, it was "fixed" but the problem has reoccurred intermittently. And now the side mirrors are not retracting upon shutdown... that isn't good.
