2020 Chevrolet Bolt EV review
Review: Living With 3 Chevy Bolt EVs for past 6 years Owning three Chevy Bolt EVs has been one of the smartest financial and practical decisions we’ve made. Each year, we’re saving $6,000–$7,000 combined on fuel and maintenance compared to when we drove gasoline cars. We get about 250-300 miles of range depending on heat and AC use. We bought them used around $20k each, had batteries replaced in 2020 so 100,000 mile warranty, can't beat it! Charging at Home Is Simple, either use 110v and charge overnight or upgrade 220v dryer plug We picked up a Level 2 home charger for about $150 on Amazon. Installing and running it is as simple as hooking up clothes dryer. The charger just uses a standard 240V outlet, and the energy demand is nothing unusual for a typical household. Pulls same amount of power as microwave or toaster oven. Real Cost to Charge Let’s run the math: Electric rate: $0.10 per kWh Efficiency: ~4.5 miles per kWh Monthly driving: 2,000 miles each car That works out to: 2,000 miles at 4.5miles/kW at 10cents/kW= $44/month So for just $44 a month, each Bolt drives 2,000 miles. Compare that to a gas car at 30 MPG and $3.50/gallon: 2,000 miles at 30MPG= 66.7gals times $3.50 = $233/month That’s nearly $190/month in savings per car, just on fuel. Multiply that by 3 cars and a full year, and the numbers quickly add up. Maintenance Savings Beyond the fuel savings, the Bolt EVs don’t need oil changes, transmission services, or exhaust system repairs. Brake wear is minimal thanks to regenerative braking. For us, the maintenance costs dropped to little more than tire rotations (free at Discount Tire), washer fluid and cabin air filters. Final Thoughts Switching to the Chevy Bolt has been a financial win and a stress reliever. Charging at home is as easy as running a kitchen appliance, and the cost per mile is dramatically lower. 2017 Subaru Outback review
I went from owning a 2003 Monte Carlo SS to a 2017 Subaru Outback. It was worth every penny. My Subaru is not only reliable, functional, and cute; it also saved me from being injured in a bad crash. This past fall a six point buck hit my car head on and I never saw it coming. It was a fatal crash for the deer, but not for me. As heartbroken as I was to see my car crumpled on the front, I was so glad it wasn't me. It was a repairable fix and made me really appreciate my car.

2023 Chevrolet Bolt EV review
Purchased a used 2023 Chevy Bolt EV a couple months ago, and so far have been very happy with it. I will talk about what I think are cons first. Not happy with the lack of safety features that most vehicles have as standard features. No BSM, no yellow warnings of vehicles in blind spots or warning sounds. No back up warnings. Visibility is taking time to get use to. Mirrors are too small. Visors are too small to block sunlight. Interior is cheap, storage spaces a lacking, glove box dumps stuff out when you open it. Pros:. The selling point of the vehicle is the savings in fuel economy. It is a relatively small SUV electric vehicle, with a good battery that will take you 250 miles on a full charge. I have been averaging 4.4 miles/kw. My electric rate is 10.6 cents a kw. It only costs me $6 to drive that 250 miles. That's about the price for a gallon of gasoline in some places around here. Car is fast and can pass another vehicle very quickly. Ride is comfortable and smooth. One peddle works great and I get better numbers around town. I'm estimating this little EV will save me about $2500 a year and fuel costs. I have a charger installed in my garage. The key to taking advantage of the savings of any EV is to charge at home. Charge overnight. Love this little car.

2020 Ford Transit Connect review
Bought a brand new in 2019 Transit Connect, since then we only had to change the brakes and oil !!!! Love this van. Works fine for our company needs. The money that we saved on gas alone is priceless (27/28 MPG). I decided to write this now because this is the only Ford product that didn't disappoint us. I bought a car from them in 2011 and when I was ready for another a few weeks ago, I went back. There was nothing wrong with the first one that I bought there - I drive a distance for work and the 89,000 Mitsubishi that I purchased in 2011 (and still loved) was nearing 151,000 so while it still had some life left in it, I decided on getting a lower mileage car so I could give the old one to a friend who was in desperate need of a vehicle..I found one on their site that I really liked and within 2 days, I purchased it. They give a 30 day warranty and both times, I returned to have them fix little things: a squeak in the front, a fog light that didn't work....let's face it, they are used cars and I expected a few minor issues. When I brought them back in, they checked everything and fixed all the issues I had, no questions asked. I don't know how they are as a repair shop for major issues because I have my own mechanic but I would and will buy my next car from them when the time comes.

2015 BMW 328 review
I bought my 328i over 6 years ago with just a little over 35,000. I now have 105,000 on. It's a blast to drive. It was very reliable until I reached close to the 100k. Around 96,000 miles the oil pan gasket started to leak. Had to get it repaired ($600 - $700). Not too long there after, the valve cover started to leak oil ($700-$800). Started to get a check engine light around 105,000 miles - thermostat housing needed replacing ($428.00). After some research, I found that the water pump would also fail shortly after the thermostat, replaced it with thermostat ($1,049). After inspection, it looks like engine mounts needing replacing ($390). Hopefully, this is it for now. High mileage BMW's expenses will start to add up. Otherwise, fun car to drive if you are will to invest additional $$$ to keep it running

2013 Scion xB review
This 2013 Rs10 is my second Scion xB. My first was a 2006 gen1 Polar White that I drove for 17 years and 160k flawless miles before trading in for the gen2 Release Series. Great car! Reliable, sporty and stylish. Tons of occupant and cargo room. Plenty of power and decent mileage (avg 24 combined) with auto trans. Very roomy and versatile car. The 10 year Anniversary Release Series RS10 has unique RS only features: LED solar lighted shift knob, carbon fiber dash panels with EL (electro-luminescent) Scion and RS10 logos, graphite colored alloy wheels, cool blue LED light up “vehicle finder” front & rear Scion logos and RS only floor mats to name a few. And that killer “Silver Ignition” RS only paint! Its a medium silver with a gold pearl fog that just glows and changes in the sun! Its look and color are unmistakeable once you see it on the road! Loving this second gen xB! I am positive that it will serve me as well as my gen1 with another 150k easily…its a Toyota!

Joel and Volvo Plymouth made it all so easy! When I arrived (about 5 mins early), Joel was already standing at the front desk and had the V60 Cross Country I wanted to test drive ready to go at the front door. During the test drive, he was knowledgeable and quick with answers to all my questions about the car, but also let me focus on the drive and getting a feel for the car. Joel guided me on a circuit that brought me through Plymouth’s downtown and onto the highway, so I got to feel the car at low and higher speeds - everything you need. Once we sat down to talk numbers, there was no back and forth game. Joel came right out of the gate with a fair price on the car, which is what originally brought me to Volvo Plymouth from Attleboro, and he and his used car manager gave me a fair price on my trade. What’s usually the most “stressful” part of car buying was over in no more than 10 mins. That said, I certainly wasn’t rushed. I got everything I needed and Joel worked quickly. My V60 is a lease return, and even before I asked, Joel promised that not only will the wagon be fully cleaned and detailed, but 2 dents will be repaired and the rims will be refurbished before pick up, along with all the usual oil, filter, and fluid changes. The dealership and showroom was immaculate! A pristine, low pressure, vanilla scented place to see, feel, and learn about what Volvo has to offer. The cars on the showroom floor were so clean that I was worried to leave fingerprints, but like a kid at at a glass counter, I couldn’t help leaving my grubby little prints as I went from S60, to S90, to XC90. Bottom line, if this is the Volvo way, I can easily see myself being a customer of Joel’s and the Volvo brand for life. This was such a positive change from the Jeep dealers I’d dealt with last. I can’t wait to pick up my new-to-me V60 and LONG LIVE THE WAGON!
2026 Volvo V60 Cross Country review
Very smooth, comfortable and quiet. Extremely roomy and quite attractive exterior. Added roof racks, still quiet. Gas mileage approaching mid-30’s on secondary highways. Acceleration is good, handling is firm. All wheel drive makes a big difference. Very happy with purchase, and highly recommend.

I had a wonderful experience with carmax in Westborough. Very friendly staff, very clean. They don't harass you. Upon entering the building, I was greeted and directed to the vehicles I was interested. I ventured the lot on my own and able to check out the vehicle. All the details were located on the window or they have touch screens with the info of the cars on the lots. Chris C was my sales person, he was very quick to respond to questions I had after I left the lot and also gave me detailed information about the cars I was interested in purchasing without haggling me to buy the more expensive car. When I had a question for him he would always answer it and send the brochure or the car detail info so I had it. The day I made my decision I was driving off the lot in a preowned vehicke within a few hours. I was extremely happy with my experience and would recommend Carmax in Westborough for anyone searching for a preowned vehicle. And i had been to other dealerships for test rides.
2018 Volkswagen Golf review
I had wanted Golf my whole life and now that I have it-it does not disappoint! It is SO much fun to drive and I have an automatic transmission! For being a smaller vehicle you can stuff a lot of things in it when needed.
