No Ford in our garage.
Although I seriously considered buying a Transit Connect wagon as an alternative to a full-size minivan for our family, it never happened, and it never will. I test drove a 2022 Titanium model last year that was going for about $39k, and although I liked it overall, I thought it was too much for the modest comfort and underpowered engine. I was still thinking about it this year until I saw dealers are asking well over $40k for the same vehicle because inventory is so low. I don't know if it's common for prices to skyrocket for a soon-to-be orphan model, but that's what Ford is doing with this one. And I see Internet forums filled with comments lamenting Ford's decision to discontinue the model. I've seen the Ford Grand Tourneo Connect that they're now selling overseas, and I for one would love to see it here in the States. Not to be. I guess someone will pay close to $50k now for a Transit Connect before they're gone, but if this is Ford's idea of giving customers what they want, you'll never find a Ford in our garage. - Purchased a New car
