Beware of bait and switch, poor customer service
My wife and I had an appointment to view a car in their inventory. My wife was already at the dealership and I was 20 minutes away. Then I got a call from the salesmen saying the car was gone. My wife spoke briefly with the salesman and he made no attempt to show her equivalent options. The salesman said that they only had options that were several thousand dollars more expensive and that was pretty much the end of the interaction, wonderful customer service. The best part is that the car I was interested in is STILL listed as being for sale on their website! I have called and emailed to reconfirm and I am still being told the car is sold. Save yourself the hassle of being drawn into this place by bait and switch and check out one of the numerous reputable Subaru dealerships.

Unfortunately the repair to your car could not be covered by warranty because it had over 132,000 miles on it. We wanted to try to work out a compromise with a discount as a goodwill gesture, however, after your accusations, outbursts, cursing and threats to damage our reputation if we did not pay 100% of the repair, I felt it better to ask you to take your business elsewhere. We know we're not perfect, and we will keep trying to get better but sometimes we have to end relationships. Thank you for returning our Free Service Loaner Car finally after 16 days and multiple calls. John Olesen GM Village Subaru
Called 3 times to set up appointment, left a message first two never received a call back. Spoke to a person on third call set up an appointment for warranty service. Told to drop car off first thing in the AM , it would take a couple of hours. Dropped car off at 8:30 AM. Told drop offs would be serviced that day and I would receive a call when it was completed. At 2:30 pm received call advising I needed rear brakes (for an additional $519.00) and that they could do that today with recall work. Advised VS I did not want them to repair brakes, they said they would call when warranty work completed. Never heard from them again that day. Next day I called asking what was going on with my car. VS informed me they were still working on the car and would call when work was done. Called Subaru National customer service, explained problem, they called me back indicated they spoke to VS and job was taking longer than expected, should be done around noon. At that point I will have been without the the car for a day and a half, for what was supposed to be a two hour job. VS has very poor customer service.
Great sales experience
Bought a new 2019 Forester. These days it is easy research a decent price before starting the process. Contacted four dealers. One refused to communicate - insisted I come to the showroom. Two sent me highball offers. Village (Neil) was first to respond, called to be sure he knew just what I wanted. Neil called back 5 minutes later with a very decent offer and followed up 5 minutes later with a detailed written offer. I showed up and paid exactly what was promised, no new fees or games. Solid price, no games, no wasted time.
Best car buying experience ever!
We recently bought from Village Subaru and the experience was flawless. Erik Holm was delightful to work with. He had the most competitive price among 8 dealerships we reached out to. Eric found the car matching our specs within a day and threw in for free a few accessories that came with the car that we hadn?t asked for. All the negotiations were over email and on the pickup day Erik had all the paperwork ready and we were able to leave with our purchase in less than an hour. We highly recommend Erik and Village Subaru if you are in the market for a car.
Thanks for a quick repair!
Thank you to the Service Department at Village Subaru! The battery in my 2010 Outback started to fail. I called Village Subaru and asked if they could verify what the problem was. I dropped it off, and they replaced the battery for me that afternoon. They went above & beyond for me. I highly recommend the Service Department. Way to go, Service people!
Great service dept
This is my 2nd review of the Village Subaru Service department. These guys are still doing a great job. I had them put on new tires the other day and was told by the service tech that they usually do an alignment when they put on new tires. I also was concerned that the brakes may be waring down. I told them that I was more concerned about the brakes, but if I need the alignment its ok to do both. I left and came back a half hour later and they were ready. Expecting the worst I looked at the bill. $88? I said I must be dreaming somebody pinch me. I said with a smile looks like the alignment and the brakes were ok? I was ready for a puzzled look and a, "whoops we forgot to check". But; without even taking a breath, he said nope the brakes are fine, you probably have another 10k on them and the tires were worn perfectly even no need for an alignment. I got up off the floor and said "you guys are amazing, I cant brag enough about you ". To top it off I always get a call for the service mgr (its recorded, but we can cut em some slack on that, after all who else even cares?), and am reminded that my satisfaction is important to them, and to call if there are any questions. Keep up the good work guys, there are some service places you can trust. Correction there is a service place you can trust.
Very happy with my salesman Lincoln!!!
I bought my first Subaru Forrester at Village and I was very impressed with them. I walked in cold and luckily i met a very honest and straight shooter by the name of Lincoln. Yes, that's his name. He's a salesman with fantastic knowledge about Subarus. He helped me decide on the Forrester and I am so happy I did. I have had several. People tell me how good it is in the snow and how much I will love. I would highly recommend Lincoln, especially if you are not sure what car you want. He knows everything about them. I love my car and happy with the deal we made. One trip to the manager and I had the price I wanted. No playing games. I don't do that. I will walk before I do that back and forth game. Lincoln did not do that. Good luck and I hope this review helped.
First off they never called or emailed me back after I emailed them, I went in to the dealership and they sales people looked at me then walked away never to be seen again... I stood in the middle of their driveway for 5 mins straight just to see if I could get someones attention no one came out, so I went inside the one person inside said I'm with a customer very rudely and walked away from me.
I had a good experience dealing with Zak, Vince and Chris. My daughter and I visited the dealership just to look and check out the Outback and Forester. We met sales associate Zak and test drove 2 cars. During this Zak was very pleasant, not pushy, very helpful in pointing out things and answering all our question. We ended up sitting down with Zak and Vince. They agreed to the trade in for my 2003 Highlander that I was hoping for. So I purchased a 2015 Forester 2.5 I premium and so far I am very happy with the car. If you like a friendly, patient, not pushy sales associate with no pressure, look for Zak. Elisabeth McD.
