2016 Mazda CX-5
I bought my first vehicle from Young VW over 20 years ago, bought my last Dodge, which I still have, from them in 2009 before the Dodge dealership was "redistributed" from them, most recently the above certified preowned vehicle nearly 2 years ago, my fourth purchase at the dealership. They are straight forward, low key, no nonsense, no arm twisting, high pressure press, don't push added on sales products, don't build in all types of made up dealer fees to increase the purchase price, pretty rare for the industry now. I read all the reviews, including a few negative ones that may have merit. No dealership or person is perfect but the Young family has integrity, once again rare for the industry. The salesperson, a single mother, went out of her way, came in on her day off to complete the sale the next day at pickup. I visited the dealership last week, without being hassled, comparing colors, trim levels in person, was on the site today looking at new and used inventory considering my next purchase from them.
Service after the sale
Bought a CPO with very low miles feeling comfortable due to it being certified w/ clean carfax. Sales person was good all went smooth. Few days after having the cx5 I noticed the passenger side reflector was wasn't attached and can be pushed in with your finger so I emailed my sales person but got no response. Called the dealer and was told they wouldn't fix it unless I paid because they didn't record that issue when they had the car. Not good service after the sale. I mentioned that my nephew was looking at a Volkswagen which I would need to cosign for and he said, oh that might make a difference. It shouldn't make a difference. I know it's a small issue but I am a bit disappointed in Young.
Standard service. No issues. Everyone nice and pleasant.
Thank you for sharing your review, Layton! It's a pleasure to know that our team was pleasant while serving you. We hope to see you again!
Waited 6 weeks for a car
Waited 6 weeks for a car. When the car came in the dealership called me that it was in and that they want to reevaluate my trade in when I come in to pick up the new car. I showed up to pick up the car and someone at the dealership hit another car with the car I was supposed to purchase. a 2021 cx30 VIN ending 36723 I understand that this happens all the time and dealerships make repairs. My issue was how it was handled. The sales manager played dumb, no body noticed the white paint or scratch on the red car. Had I taken the car and seen this after I left I.m sure they would have stated it was fine when it left here and I would have a damaged brand new car. They sent a detail person to try to fix it. He got the white paint off but not the scratch. The sales manager said we can wet sand it. I said no because that compromises the integrity of the clear coat. Then I was told take the car, make an appointment with the body shop and bring it back. I was not doing that.Never got any type of apology, sorry this happened, NOTHING. I told them I don't want this car. The car is currently on the lot and I doubt that it was properly repaired. They agreed to get me another one when it comes in. As time went on I decided that I had lost all confidence in the dealership and wanted a refund. No one returned my emails or phone calls. Went to the dealership to get a refund on my credit card for the deposit. Still waiting for my refund to be processed. If someone would have contacted me prior to my arrival and said the car has some damage we will make it right. This would most likely be a 5 star review.
Mark, We're sorry that you didn't have a completely satisfying visit with our sales and service. Would it be possible to have someone from our management team reach out to you directly to discuss this? We’d love the opportunity to address any issues with our service and management team. Thank you for your time, and hopefully, we can get to the bottom of this. "
Jim Pritchard, brought car in for recalls.
Outstanding work all around. I called the dealership and complimented the management and service team.
Thankful for power outlets for use of cell and laptop, Unfortunately waiting area is dark, dismal and dreary. Fortunately service went quickly, but of all VW dealer wait rooms, Youngs could use an update.
Great service. Friendly. Video of service was texted to me. Followed all COVID protocols. Ive been a Young VW customer for over 25 years.
Annual Tune up
2012 GTI in for annual inspection and tune up. Timely repair, fair price. 21 point inspection for free. Dealership able to provide shuttle service. I am a long time customer (20 years) with 3 cars purchased from the dealership. They have my trust. They fulfill their promise.
