Key Points

  • Audi electric vehicles receive several technology
  • Dashcam newly available
  • All models go on sale in the second quarter of 2026.

If there’s any doubt about how much component sharing goes on within modern brand lineups, Audi is making it abundantly clear with its current round of updates. The latest updates apply to the A6/S6 Sportback e-Tron sedan and Q6/SQ6 e-Tron SUV model lines, which are built on Audi’s Premium Platform Electric architecture. The improvements to the 2027 A6 and Q6 e-Trons echo those recently announced for the 2026 A5 and Q5.

Updated Infotainment Graphics and Features

Most immediately noticeable is the updated digital dashboard. Both the instrument cluster and the infotainment touchscreen get redesigned graphics, the latter to mirror the appearance of the Audi mobile app and website. The interface uses fewer lists and more icons, with color variations and gradients to distinguish Audi apps from third-party apps, as well as those that are in use from those that are not.

To reduce distraction, a scroll wheel replaces the capacitive touchpad used to adjust volume on the steering wheel. Front-seat passengers can also now pair Bluetooth controllers and headphones while gaming or streaming entertainment on their available display.

New Driving Tech

A dashcam becomes optional on the entry-level Premium trim of the A6 and Q6 families and standard on the mid-level Premium Plus grade. Capable of capturing video and still images, it can record in a continuous loop and automatically save the 30 seconds before and after a triggering incident. It not only records pictures and video, but also navigation data, speed and time. Audi notes that this information is only written to an SD card (supplied by the vehicle owner) and is not transferred out of the vehicle.

Automated parking tech expands with two new functionalities for 2027, as well. Reverse Assist can take over reversing toward a parking spot for up to 150 feet, for those times you pass a spot and wish you hadn’t. New trained parking allows the vehicle to save the movements necessary to maneuver into up to five frequently visited parking spots. Once trained in these locations, the vehicle can autonomously maneuver up to 600 feet.

On the S6 Sportback e-Tron, a new Dynamic Plus drive mode allows for greater yaw before the stability control system intervenes. Audi says this enables “targeted oversteer and controlled drifts where permitted by law, for example, on closed courses.” At the other end of the driving responsibility spectrum, both 2027 Audi EVs now have more efficient regenerative braking with true one-pedal driving that brings the vehicle to a complete stop without the driver needing to step on the brake.

Experience Worlds Inside

For both vehicle lines, Audi has also contrived what it calls new “experience worlds” and “tailored mood scenarios.” Tying together the vehicles’ ambient lighting, sound and climate-control systems, and massaging seats, these worlds are called Activating, Relaxing and Harmonizing; each lasts 10-20 minutes. If they sound like something you’d engage while parked, they’re not: Audi says the mood scenario can “dynamically adapt to the vehicle’s movements while driving.” There is a new mode to use when parked, however, called Power Nap mode, which creates a calm, relaxing atmosphere when the car is charging.

Release Date and Pricing

The 2027 Audi A6 and S6 Sportback e-Tron sedans and Q6 and SQ6 e-Tron SUVs with their equivalent Sportback variants will arrive at dealerships in the second quarter of 2026. Pricing starts at $67,995 for the A6 and $65,795 for the Q6 (prices include $1,295 destination charge).
