2018 BMW 320 review: Our expert's take

What it is: BMW's compact 3 Series is the luxury automaker's bread-and-butter model. It's available as a sedan, wagon or Gran Turismo hatchback and as an M3 performance sedan.

Numerous drivetrains are offered, including turbocharged gas four-cylinder engines (320i and 330i models); a turbo-diesel four-cylinder (328d); a turbo gas six-cylinder (340i); and a plug-in hybrid (330e).

The five-seat 3 Series comes with rear- or all-wheel drive (designated xDrive) and competes with the Audi A4, Cadillac ATS and Mercedes-Benz C-Class.

LED headlights are now standard, and BMW’s iDrive 6.0 multimedia system with a touchscreen is available. An available Shadow Sport Edition Package includes 18-inch black-accented wheels, a gloss-black twin-kidney grille, smoked taillights and a leather-wrapped sport steering wheel.

The car is good value for money however, its old.

The car met my specs and I did like it but at that price you can get a newer model and one with still a great value for money. This is still a car i can consider but not exactly short list.

BMW doesn't disapoint

My purchase of a 2018 320i xdrive was my first BMW purchase. I can honestly say that I am addicted to the BMW driving experience. The quality, fit and finish, performance, and features are absolute top notch.
