Chevrolet is GM’s mass-market brand, reaching a wider audience than Buick, Cadillac or GMC. In keeping with industry trends, Chevrolet has dropped most of its traditional passenger cars in favor of SUVs, which are more profitable.

Chevrolet’s SUV lineup consists of the subcompact Trailblazer and Trax, compact Equinox, two-row mid-size Blazer and three-row Traverse. The brand still has two truck-based, full-size SUVs in the Tahoe and Suburban, as well as traditional pickup trucks in the Silverado and Colorado.

Though the gas-engine Camaro pony car was discontinued after 2024, Chevrolet’s performance heritage lives on in the Corvette sports car, which adopted a mid-engine design for 2020 and gained an all-wheel-drive hybrid version for 2024. Chevrolet also offers a handful of EVs: The Blazer EV, Equinox EV and Silverado EV are stand-alone, all-electric versions of core Chevy vehicles, and the affordable Bolt subcompact hatchback was revived in improved form as a 2027 model.
