Full article

What Is the 2025 Ford F-150?

The bestselling vehicle in the U.S., the Ford F-150, can be customized in seemingly endless ways and optimized for a wide variety of tasks. There are three available cab styles, three cargo bed lengths and six powertrain options, including a 325-horsepower, twin-turbo V-6; a 430-hp, hybrid V-6; and a 720-hp, supercharged V-8, which is found in the Raptor R. The all-electric F-150 Lightning is reviewed separately.

Properly equipped, an F-150 can tow or haul with the best of them. The most basic version is a bargain-minded workhorse, while the highest trims have enough power, luxury and tech to make premium-brand vehicles blush. The F-150’s rivals are the Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra, Ram 1500 and Toyota Tundra.

What’s New on the 2025 Ford F-150?

Ford treated the F-150 to a mid-cycle refresh for 2024, so there are no major changes to the truck for 2025. Last year’s updates included revised front-end styling, a newly available Pro Access Tailgate with a center section that opens to the side for easier bed access and a more powerful base engine. The F-150 also received a larger 12-inch touchscreen as standard equipment, and the availability of Ford’s BlueCruise hands-free highway driving system was expanded.

What Is the Towing Capacity of the 2025 Ford F-150?

The F-150’s maximum towing capacity ranges from 8,200-13,500 pounds, depending on trim and equipment.

How Much Does the 2025 Ford F-150 Weigh?

The F-150’s curb weight ranges from 4,391-5,950 pounds, depending on trim and equipment.

What Features in the 2025 Ford F-150 Are Most Important?

Standard features include:

  • 12-inch touchscreen
  • Three-seat regular cab
  • Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • Wi-Fi hot spot
  • Cloth seats
  • 12-inch digital gauge cluster
  • Forward collision warning
  • Automatic emergency braking
  • Blind spot warning
  • Rear cross-traffic alert
  • Rear parking sensors

  • Heated and ventilated front seats
  • Heated steering wheel
  • Heated rear seats
  • Bang & Olufsen audio system
  • Adaptive cruise control
  • Hands-free highway driving (BlueCruise)
  • 360-degree parking camera
  • Head-up display

Should I Buy the 2025 Ford F-150?

If you’re in the market for a full-size pickup, the F-150 absolutely deserves a spot on your shopping list. With so many ways to spec this Ford truck, finding your perfect balance of toughness, fuel economy, cabin room, and towing and hauling capability is a cinch — though sifting through this truck’s enormous options sheet takes planning and patience. Raptor and Raptor R variants have incredible power and off-road capability — along with high price tags that reflect those abilities. Thankfully, even at its most basic, the Ford F-150 is still a rock-solid and savvy choice.

  • Very nice truck.

Very nice truck. Full comfort platinum. Full power 3.5 Ecoboost with performance package. Smooth and fast. Now let see if it gets to my 2012 F150 FX4 with 150000 miles and still great!

  • I purchased a new 2025 XLT powerboost about a month ago.

I purchased a new 2025 XLT powerboost about a month ago. Got around 1500 miles on it. The overall performance of the truck is awesome. Its a good looking truck. I have added tint windows, hard bed cover and I am getting the upgraded leather package for it as well. The gas mileage is great and with hybrid it gets even better. The handling is good. The stop & go is also great. I went from a 2020 Nissan Titan to this F150 and must say I am impressed overall with the truck. I happy about the warranty that ford provided and look to maybe get the extended warranty when the time comes.

  • Took this truck on a trip one day after purchasing.

Took this truck on a trip one day after purchasing. Chicago to Memphis -no problems. Memphis to Biloxi - no problems Biloxi to Pensacola - the truck would not start after stopping at a rest stop. Follow the instructions to reset the computer, and it started. Pensacola to Jacksonville Beaches. The check engine light came on. Took to the Ford dealer in Jacksonville Beach, FL. Had for 3 days needed a new fuel pump. Jacksonville Beach to the Atlanta area, stopped at Cracker Barrel for dinner - the car would not start. Ford sent someone to jump the car -- didn't work. Truck towed to Ford dealer in Calhoun, GA. Had it for 3 days (over the weekend, and they were closed till Monday). Charged the truck and said it was OK. Our dealer said to rent a car, and they would tow it back to IL. Had for 3 days said the problem was a loose connector. Extra expenses for our trip were $3800.00. Ford is supposed to pay, but I haven't seen a check yet -- 2 months have passed without a check! Chuck Clarke

  • Bought this truck new.

Bought this truck new. I’ve put 3500 miles on it and it rides really comfortably. I went from an AT4 with dead lifters to this. I love this truck and I have not towed with it but the max I’m towing is 6,000 so that should not be an issue.

  • Love this truck.

Love this truck. Rides and drives great. Looks fantastic and I myself would not drive any other brand. Tried Chevy a few years ago and hated it so much I only kept it 1 year before going back to Ford and I will not change.
