Used BMW 550 for sale under $15,000 near me

Bought this 2016 550xi used with a warranty in early 2021. The depreciation on BMWs is almost unreal. Do not buy a new BMW, but 4-5 year old one is right in the depreciation sweet spot...with a warranty for piece of mind, but honestly the last two I had didn't need it. My third BMW used, and it performs great! The V8 is smooth and effortless with unending power and torque. The car is a bit heavy feeling, but sport mode makes it feel a little lighter. Interior is fantastic, and had lots of features. No Apple play until 2017 models, so that’s a downer, but I knew that when made the purchase. Anyway, love the car, love that the previous lessor ate 60% of the depreciation, and I’ll eventually find out if I needed the warranty. But for piece of mind, it was worth it already.

Ken was super easy to work with. Responsive and helpful. We got a 2009 Kia Borrego with 62,000 miles in good shape at a great price. He also gave us a fair price on our trade-in. All in all a great experience.

I own a bmw 2011 550i Xdrive M sport package with M Steering wheel, M sport suspension ETc and honestly one of the best car I have ever own and still own. Reliability has been decent on my end but no major issues thankfully. If you well maintain this car like I have and do oil changes around 4.5k you can make this engine last past 200ks miles.

Best car I ever owned and drove . Nothing compares to the Bmw 5 series . Driving a Bmw feels and looks good . It has a certain amount of style a Mercedes will never understand

Bought a 2005 Lincoln Navigator, 145k miles. It's in excellent shape, no issues since I've purchased it. I think they're an honest dealership. I would use them again if I needed another used vehicle.

I am 73 and the original owner of a 2007 BMW 550 With 150.000 miles. I love it so much, I plan to make this car my last vehicle and plan to make it go to 300,000 miles.

I have never bought a car online before let alone bought a car without even seeing it or driving it. I saw a Bentley Flying Spur for sale at Chicago Auto Gallery. I called and spoke to a salesperson named Steve. From the first hello on the phone until we closed the deal and the car was shipped to me Steve was fantastic. He did everything possible to ensure that I was satisfied with the car and the deal. Now here's the extra part that I was even shocked at myself. Once I got the car, I drove it and after 5 miles some of the lights came on such as check engine, ride height, traction control and ABS. I was initially immensely pissed. I called Steve and said you might want to get ahold of that driver who delivered this car and tell him to take it back. Steve suggested I take it to a certified mechanic near me and have it looked at to see what was the problem. Apparently when one light goes off, it triggers more lights to activate. I had it looked at and to fix the car right it was going to be over $3000. Steve took care of it and the dealership paid the whole bill. In my mind that was the most solid thing to do and he did it. He could have argued and tried to avoid it or said no, you bought it, you fix it. They did not do that to me. I'm in Pittsburgh and they are in Chicago. I know I had rights and could have just sent it back but I wanted that car and they fixed it for me. Owned a 2011 550 M Sport X-drive F10 loaded to the gills for five years now and other than routine maintenance items like brakes, spark plugs and coils, tires, etc, nothing has ever broken.. It has never broken down and has started every time I push the start button.. It had 52,000 miles on the clock when I bought it and it was in literally showroom condition inside and out with not even a gravel chip.. I have put on 65,000 problem free miles so far.. I did have the excessive oil consumption issue but that turned into a good thing because BMW settled a class action suit by agreeing to repair any cars with that issue.. BMW did $9500 worth of work on my engine at their expense at 90,000 miles.. So I feel like I got my engine rebuilt at 90k and it didn’t cost me a penny.. The car is crazy fast, really good looking and gets compliments everywhere I go.. Even though it’s now going on 12 years old most people still think it’s new or only one or two years old.. The M sport package is the way to go, the car is white and I put on 20” black BMW style 433 wheels which really look amazing.. The car with the M Sport suspension has an awesome stance looking at it from all angles.. Hard to distinguish it from an M5…I’ve owned 5 BMW’s dating back to 1986 and four Mercedes Benz so I know what I’m talking about when I say this is definitely the best car I ever owned.. I got it for a bargain price from a Subaru dealer and it’s paid off.. This car stickered for $86,000… So I got an $86,000 car with $86,000 car quality, materials, performance for less than a very cheaply made Honda Civic.. I take exceptional care of my cars with washing and waxing it weekly and it still is in mint condition inside and out… I still love it just as much as the day I drove it home… The only downside I can see is gas mileage, I get about 14 mpg city and 23 mph highway (at 80 mph).. I think buying one of these cars is good if the car was well maintained and a nightmare if you buy one that wasn’t maintained..

Bought the car with 97k miles and it has a little over 102k miles now. My father purchased the car from a mechanic who maintained it very well. The car has been awesome so far except a handful of times, at a stop light, the transmission malfunctioned and puts itself into park. This also happened one time when I was reversing and scared the xxxx out of me. When this happens it displays the traction control and ABS light, not sure if anyone else has had this same issue? It fixes itself every time after turning the car off and back on. Also had an instance where cylinder 7 and 8 were misfiring, but took it to the shop they plugged it in and reset it and the motor has been perfectly fine since. Also, the car drinks oil and has very slight leak. I know it sounds problematic, but the car has made driving fun. Nobody buys a V8 bmw for its reliability / ease of ownership … but if you take care of it, it will probably take care of you just fine. It is truly a thrill to drive. I have the msport package with all the bells and whistles and that provides me with everything I want. The comfort seats are awesome and after a 3 hour road trip I feel like I could keep driving. I drive with a heavy foot and fill it with 93 and I get 15 mpg city driving and up to 25 on the highway. This car is a super comfortable commuter if you don’t mind the gas mileage. Turning off traction control + sport mode will allow you to have way too much fun. The car feels like it is just cruising (with summer tires of course) until you hit about 140 mph which is when I when I back off. I love cruising the highway in this thing as it always feels like it has plenty more power to unleash. I love this car and would recommend it to anyone that knows how to turn a wrench or has a good connection with a mechanic.

Good value for the amount of features and comfort. BMW 550i has 400 horse power, and V8 engine. 0–60 mph comes up in 5.0 sec., 100 mph in 11.4 sec. Super comfortable, reliable, and fast!!

I love my BMW , even after I complained about some issues, they did fix them all for free , I really like how they provide a one month warranty for all cars .

I own a 2014 BMW 550i. My one important information that I would pass on is to make sure the Catalytic Converter after 4 years is free of debris because if you don't it could back up and blow a head gasket.. The Web design is not that big of an area and deposits can form on it and if it forms too much and that turbos trying to shove air down through there and if your exhaust can't get the air through it...then it will go back the way it came and then look out for trouble. It takes 4 years unless you are pumping garbage in your car. Thx, Eric

And what turned out to be something absolutely no one could imagine happening to a low mileage truck- blown head gasket/potential cracked cylinder! They not only fixed this unfortunate and unforeseen issue, but completely replaced it within one week of the check engine light! WOW!! I've put about 40k miles on it...bought as a CPO with 30k miles. It really has everything I look for in a car, styling, comfort, speed and breaking. One downside is the entertainment system when phone is used for music. Mine still looks new! Highly recommend.
