2016 BMW 740 review
I have had my car for almost five weeks and I have put about twenty-five miles on it - vacation interference! That is why there are only two Stars for Performance. I just want to get behind the wheel on a turnkey uphill road in Virginia (there are lots of them there), and put the metal to the pedal. This is my 4th New BMW - I know what they can do! When I get to really try it out that will be a Five Star Performance!!

2018 BMW 740 review
I got the 7-series because there was little room in the back seat of 5-series I previously drove. The big sedan carries 5 very comfortably, quietly and quickly. It is a terrific vehicle. Is it 5 times as good as an Accord? Maybe not, so I dinged it for 'value,' but everything else about this car is superb. As it should be for the money. If you can afford one, I highly recommend that you get one.

2011 BMW 740 review
Great ride, very comfortable, very good performance, good gas mileage, reliable six cylinder twin turbo engine. Stay away from the 750li model unless you have deep pockets. The 4.4 liter twin turbo V8 engines have too many problems.

2017 BMW 740 review
So, had this car for about two months now and can understand what all the hype was. Was skeptical of the purchase because of what I've heard about German autos so I maxed out on warranties at the initial purchase and hoped for the best. Thus far, I get compliments GALORE on the car. Someone from the gym thought it was INSANE when I backed it out of a parking spot with the key fob because some idiot parked 1 foot from my door thus making it difficult for me to gain access. Thank you BMW for that innovation. Initially...I thought nothing of that, but in a short time I found it beneficial. Glides over the road no matter the obstacle (of course not including deep potholes or speed bumps) Had a Genesis prior to the BMW thinking..."naw, nothing can be better than this" Well....I was wrong. :-)

He asked pertinent questions, took the time to understand what I was seeking, and was as transparent with me about the quality of the vehicle I had come to test-drive as is possible. I pointed out scratches. He admitted that they were problematic. I asked him about the timing belt: had it been changed? He didn't know, and didn't invent a story. He didn't say "yes" or "no," he said the most honest thing a car salesman can say: "I don't know. But I will find out for you." And, sure enough, he did! We talked about the timing belt replacement (which HAD happened, and this saves me $1,000 right off the bat). We talked about the provenance of the vehicle, a wreck it had been in eight years ago, how clean and immaculate the car was, both inside and out. I thought that the car was overpriced a bit, and I asked Stan what he thought. He agreed that it could be a bit lower, and on my first visit to the lot, he informed me that his boss had lowered the price of the car by $500. Which was music to my ears. I test drove the car. It handled beautifully. Ice-cold A/C, no pulling to the left or right. This car had been in a wreck before, but other than the CARFAX report mentioning it, I would never have known. Stan gave me the keys and said "Take this to your mechanic," so I did. I sat at my own personal mechanic's office and waited for an hour while they went through the car, front to back, paying close attention to the mechanical aspects of the vehicle. They found a leaking power steering rack and pump. That's IT. "Lou," said the owner of the shop. "This is the best vehicle you've brought us, and I am of the strong opinion you should BUY THIS CAR IMMEDIATELY." I wasn't sure, given the cost of replacing the power steering rack and pump. I went back to Stan. He wasn't sure, he said, but he'd check with the boss. I offered $500 less than the vehicle was priced at, even AFTER a $500 drop! Stan stood up for me with his boss, got the boss to agree, and sold me the car. In conclusion, I have a fantastic vehicle, low miles for its age, mechanically sound (except for the rack and pump, which I will get fixed on my own dime), and Stan has a customer for life in me. I've been in sales for forty years, and Stan did everything right. He shared what he could do, told me honestly what he couldn't do and, not once, not EVER, did he give me a hard-sell. He listened to me, he met my needs and then exceeded them. Kudos to Stan and to Denver Auto Company for the best car-buying experience I have ever had. Thank you.
2001 BMW 740 review
November 16, 2023. On my second silver/ black 01 740il in Marin County with 146k miles. First got rear-ended at 200 in perfect condition. Current car at 144k miles has had $1500-3000 per year of typical servicing including brakes, coolant system, engine mounts, struts, and frequent oil changes to keep the original timing chain guides happy. Great V8 torgue and cruising power, super comfort w heated seats, 24-28 highway mpg; 18.5-20 around town. In a town of Vettes, Ferraris, and numerous high-end sleds, her classic, politely bold looks really stand out.

2017 BMW 740 review
I went back and forth between the 740 and 750. I choose the V6 because I am driving more comfort than performance and the power I don't really need. If I am in the need to pass put the car in Sport and so far I am fine. Gas mileage is better with the V6 and the interior is perfect as being 6'4 I have plenty of room.

2018 BMW 740 review
So far, pleased with performance of car--- only had vehicle for 3 weeks--have had a few minor issues-- great handling on highway--- some of the electronics are overwhelming for my wife
